But soon reality crept into both their minds and they simulataneously pulled away.

"Robbie sir'woh Raunak'"

"Tum chinta mat karo, Kasturi. Mein usse tumhe kabhi rulaane nahi doonga," promised Robbie.

"Nahi sir, woh itni asaani se nahi maanega'mujhe bahut dar lag rahe hain'sirf do din mein woh'"

"Kasturi, mein tumhare saath hoon. Mujh par yakeen hain?"

"Jee sir, magar'"

"Magar kuch nahi. Tumhe darne ki koi zaroorat nahi. Mein vaada karta hoon, mein tumhare saath hamesha rahoongi. Hamesha teri raksha karoonga. Hamesha tujhe pyar karoonga. Vaada raha."

"Oh Kasturi, you're here. Very good. Dus minute pehle pochgayi. Theek hain. Ab chalo."

"Mein nahi aanewali, Raunak. Nikal jao meri zindagi se."

"Kasturi. Mein tumhari bakwaas ke liye mood mein nahi hoon. Chup chap chalo verna mein tumhe zabardasti leh jaaonga."

"Kasturi tumhare saath kahi nahi jaayegi!" insisted Robbie striding into the hotel lobby resolutely. "Ab sirf uski marzi chalegi."

"Nahi. Kasturi meri patni hain aur who meri saath hi aayegi. Mein uske saath jo chahe karsakta hoon."

"Aapko sharam nahi aayi? Apni patni ke saath aise bartaaf karke'it makes me sick."

"Haan tho aapki pyaari Kasturi ne bataye tha, ke usne kya kiya? Ek goonegar hain woh."

"Raunak, woh defence mein tha'"

"Tum chup raho. Jab do aadmi baat kar rahe hain, beech mein mat bolna. Kitni baar kahoon tumse?"

He raised his hand; she flinched away. Furious, Robbie stepped in between and grabbed Raunak's wrist.

"Bas! Ab mein aur bardaasht nahi karoonga. Aapki himmat kaise hui? Abhi nikal jao yahaan se, verna mein police ko boloaoonga. Issi waqt dafa ho jao."

"Bolao apni police ko. Dekhte hain."

"Toh aap nahi maanenge?"

"Jee nahi."

"Theek hain." He whipped out his mobile and dialed the number. Raunak stood glaring at them both.

Gently, Robbie cupped Kasturi's face in his palms. "Gabrao mat, Kasturi. Kuch nahi hoga. Tum dekhna, aaj hum is Raunak darinder se hamesha peecha churaata hoon."

"Excuse me, yahaan kya problem hain?" A man, tall and kind-faced, dressed in uniform, marched in and regarded the scene.

"Inspector saab, maine aapko bolaayan. Is aadmi'"

"Inspector saab, yeh meri patni hain aur mere saath aane se inkaar kar rahi hain. Jaante ho kyun? Kyun ki woh ek gehr aadmi ki saath rehna chahti hain!" cut in Raunak misleadingly.

"Yeh sach hain?"

"Nahi, inspector, aap meri baat maano, aisa nahi hain. Isne mere saath bahut galta kiya hain, isliye'"

"Chup raho."

"Sab kaun haq hain apni baat kehne ki. Bolo, daro mat, tumhe iske saath jaane hain?" The inspector took a step forward, shielding Kasturi instinctively.

"Nahi, inspector, aap ko nahi kabar, isne mere zindagi barbaad kiya hain. Mein iske saath nahi jeesakti. Aap kuch kijye'mushkil se mujhe thodi khushi mili hain, isko use cheene mat denge'"

"Aapko complaint karna hain?" offered the inspector, as he figured out the situation.

"Mein'woh'"

"Daro mat, Kasturi, batade inspector ko. Sazaa dedo usko, jisne tumhe itna tarpaaya."

"Robbie sir…he, Raunak…"

"Don't woory, Kasturi. I'll never let him upset you again," promised Robbie.

"No sir, he won't give up so easily…I'm feeling very scared…in 2 days I have…"

"Kasturi, I'm with you. Don't you trust me?"

"I do sir, but…"

"But nothing. You have no reason to be scared. I promise, I'll always stay with you. I'll always protect you. I'll always love you. Promise."

"Oh Kasturi, you're here. Very good. 10 minutes early. Good. Now let's go."

"I won't come Raunak.Get out of my life."

"Kasturi. I'm not in the mood to listen to your rubbish. Come quietly otherwise I'll force you to."

"Kasturi won't come with you!" insisted Robbie, striding into the hotel lobby resolutely. "Now she'll only do as she chooses."

"No. Kasturi is my wife and she'll come with me. I'll do what I like with her."

"Don't you feel ashamed? Behaving like this towards your wife…it makes me sick."

"Ah so has your dearest Kasturi not told you what she did? She's a criminal."

"Raunak, that was in defence…"

"You shut up. When two men are talking, don't interrupt. How many times have I told you?"

He raised his hand; she flinched away. Furious, Robbie stepped in between and grabbed Raunak's wrist.

"Enough! I can't tolerate anymore. How dare you? Gofrom here immediately, or I'll call the police. Get lost right now."

"Call your police. We'll see."

"So you won't listen?"

"Absolutely not."

"Fine." He whipped out his mobile and dialed the number. Raunak stood glaring at them both.

"Be quiet!"

"Everyone has a right to say their opinion. Don't be scared, tell me, do you want to go with him?" The inspector took a step forward, shielding Kasturi instinctively.

"No, inspector, you don't know, he has ruined my life. I can't live with him. Please do something…I've got happiness with such difficulty, don't let him steal it…"

"Aapko complaint karna hain?" offered the inspector, as he figured out the situation.

"Me…that…"

"Don't be scared, Kasturi, tell the inspector. Punish that man, who has tortured you so much."
