Part 5:

I am loving absolutely love robbie of yehi pyaar hai..he's a true gentlemen in all facets..i was going to read the whole part of 5 but then i just had to stop to pen down my feeling i was going through as i read i totally imagined this scene in my head it flowed effortlessly and that proves how naturally writing come to you Kay..amazing...Stupendous kiddo...👏👏👏

There were a few of the elder ladies that worked in SI, they were laughing and sharing a joke with Robbie who was holding the doors for the ladies to walk out. Kasturi could see this as she walked towards the door. She looked at Robbies laughing face; he looked so happy and cheerful. Robbie must have cracked a joke and one of the ladies pulled his left cheek. .😃

Part 7: A blunder of emotions

Robbie reached for her lips, they were about to kiss when the emergency phone in the lift began ringing. Robbie and Kasturi were both shaken by the sudden noise, Robbie loosened his grip from around Kasturi and reached over to answer the phone. It was from the fire service letting Robbie know that they have located the lift and will rescue them as fast as they can. Robbie hang up and let out a sigh of relief, he looked at Kasturi who was now standing a few steps away from him.

Robbie: Help is on its way, we should be out soon

Kasturi just nodded her head. They both stood there in silence for a few minutes, both thinking about what just happened between them and what it was leading to. Robbie could not believe he almost kissed her, how could he take advantage of her like that? He thought to himself. He wanted to slap himself across the face for melting so soon into the intimate situation, this was so out of character for Robbie, he always managed to keep control of his emotions, but there was something about Kasturi that kept pulling him towards her, something about her just constantly pulled at his heart from the first day they met.

Robbie decided to break the awkward silence between them, he cleared his throat and said: I am sorry Kasturi, I did not mean to ermmm…….I don't know why I just lost control of my actions, I am sorry if iv hurt you in any way

Robbie felt guilty, he had to apologise he did not want Kasturi to think of him as a bad guy or a guy who takes his chances as soon as he is alone with a girl.

Kasturi looked at him, she could see that he genuinely was sorry, she whispered slowly: Its okay.

Another 5 minutes passed in silence, both looking down at the floor away from each others gaze. The lights on the lift suddenly turned on, Robbie noticed Kasturi's face light up brighter than the light itself. The lift began moving like normal and landed on the ground floor, the service men were waiting out side as the doors opened. Robbie allowed Kasturi to walk out first; they thanked the men and started walking towards the reception. Kasturi stopped by the desk and Robbie carried on walking towards the restaurant, he stopped by a pillar and turned to look at Kasturi, he waited there for a few minutes until Kasturi was walking back to her room. She looked over her shoulders scanning the area to see where Robbie had gone, she could not spot him, she turned round and decided to take the stairs back up to the room. Robbie tipped one of the workers to follow Kasturi and make sure she gets to her room safely as it was night and the hotel was quiet.

That night both Kasturi and Robbie spent their time staring into space unable to sleep. The incident inside the lift kept playing on their minds. Kasturi wondered why Robbie was about to kiss her? She did not once think that he would find her attractive. Robbie was always surrounded by some of the best looking women around, he was always approached by the richest personalities in the city with proposals for their daughters, even though Robbie never soaked up on this attention he still must want or prefer someone like that- not a simple girl like Kasturi. On the other hand Robbie wondered what came over him, why he reacted like that, they more he ran away from his feelings the faster they chased up to him. All this time Robbie's idea of not getting involved with a girl or falling in love was working until Kasturi walked into his life. With mixed and very confused feelings they both hit the pillow trying to shut out their emotions at heart.

The next few days passed by with both Robbie and Kasturi avoiding each other where ever possible. Robbie involved him self with a lot of work and left no time alone for himself where Kasturi's thoughts would make their way in his mind. Kasturi began spending time with some of the other workers during lunch and spare times, she even got to know more about Amar. He is a very sweet guy, they got on quiet well but just as friends from where Kasturi was concerned. When ever Robbie and Kasturi were in the same room as each other they would avoid looking in each others direction, they tried so hard to stay away that the three days passed with out either saying so much as one word to each other. This distance however was eating away at Kasturi's heart, instead of making things easy it made it worse, Kasturi's heart ached for Robbie to talk to her or at least look at her, she was now sure that Robbie definitely was not interested in her.

On the last day of the training programme they all gathered round the meeting room. Devika concluded the work that they all had done and announced that there is a party in the evening hosted by the hotel for them to attend. Kasturi remembered about the party being mentioned in the email she got about the trip. She wasn't so sure she wanted to be a part of it.

Nikhil: Everyone must attend the party in your best party wear. The management have been so kind to throw us a party like they do every year. It's a chance to let out all the stress we have been under the last few days, I am looking forward to seeing everyone on that dance floor.

There was a slight cheer around the room, everyone was obviously excited about it. Robbie hated parties but when it came down to business related he always makes an effort to be a part of it. They all left the room and went to get ready for the evenings party.

Nisha, one of the other workers Kasturi made friends with and Amar walked to their rooms. Amar and Nisha were both really excited about the party.

Nisha: office parties are always so interesting, you can finally approach or get to know about the person you have a crush on in the office. She giggled and winked at both of them. Amar laughed and said: ye office politics ka mazza he kuch aur hai. Our parties are always great fun, especially all the interesting stories that come out the next morning. He winked back at Nisha. They both have been working together for a while now and know each other pretty well. Kasturi was just listening to their conversation, she wasn't too sure about going to the party, she definitely is not a party animal.

Kasturi went inside her room and opened up her suitcase. She took out a black dress and held it out in front of her. She remembered reading about the party in the email, she had decided at home that she would not go to the party but Tannu persuaded her saying: Dii you have to go. Don't be so boring, its time you started living and had some real fun. You need to let your hair down your way to boring sometimes.

Kasturi let out a smile at Tannus words. She was right Kasturi was too boring which is why she did not have anything suitable to wear for a party, so Tannu decided to help her out and let her have one of her dresses- a little black number. Tannu told her exactly how to dress and get prepared to floor all the guys. Kasturi thought about this as a new challenge and went inside the bathroom to get changed.

Kasturi put the dress over her head; it stopped just touching her knees. She pulled at the dress thinking it might be a bit longer. The dress was simple but elegant with a halter neck strap and deep plunging neck line, across the middle there was a beaded sequenced strap going round the back. This was the first time Kasturi had worn anything like this, the dress hugged her figure enhancing her curves all around. Kasturi left her mid length thick silky black hair out, she wore a 3 rowed diamante silver bracelet in her left arm, long simple silver earrings with a matching necklace. She looked at herself in the long glass mirror; she liked the way she looked, she was a little nervous but managed to pluck up her courage and waited for Nisha so they both can go down together.

The party was being hosted in the grand banqueting suit, with big lights, flowers and large white and baby pink coloured drapes all around. Most of the guys were all ready there, as usual the ladies took longer to get dressed.

Nikhil: I will never understand what takes the ladies so long, but I have to admit they are worth the wait, looking forward to see how the ladies look tonight

Robbie: oi don't forget your married- to my sister

Nikhil: How can I forget? Your always there to remind me

Robbie and Nikhil were both standing in the hall admiring the decorations. Robbie wore an all black Versace suit with a black shirt; top two buttons undone looking very sexy with slightly spiked gelled hair and a clean shave. Nikhil too wore a black suit and white shirt. Just then Amar walked in, looking very happy and in full swing for the party to begin.

Amar: hey guys your looking very cool, are you ready to sweep the ladies off their feet? He winked and laughed along with Nikhil, Robbie laughed but not at Amars comment but at the thought of how confident Amar was about himself. Soon most of the workers came in, Devika and Puru also walked in. Robbies eyes scanned the room, Kasturi still had not arrived, he could not help but wonder what was taking her so long or if she was coming to the party at all.

Part 8: Drunken Confession

The DJ started the music and the party had begun. Kasturi and Nisha walked in and saw most of the people already dancing, Nisha ran across to one of the other workers leaving Kasturi standing by the entrance on her own. Just then Robbie turned and saw Kasturi walking in. He stood there rooted to the ground, his heart almost skipped a beat, Kasturi was looking absolutely stunning, he had never imagined Kasturi would look this good, Robbie realised that Kasturi too was looking in his direction; he quickly moved his eyes away.

Nisha: hey Kasturi why you standing over there? Come over here.

Kasturi walked across the dance floor and stood next to Nisha, almost everyone was looking at her, that's how amazing she looked. Robbie felt suffocated as his emotions and feelings towards Kasturi floated around his mind, he walked over to the bar and ordered a cold drink.

Devika and Puru raised a toast to everyone present and congratulated them for completing their training programme. Puru asked the waiters to distribute the champagne amongst everyone. Robbie noticed Kasturi refuse a glass of champagne and reach for a glass of juice instead. The party carried on with everyone having fun, apart from Robbie and Kasturi- they both stood on opposite sides of the hall feeling a bit lost and lonely. The DJ stopped the music and announced that in order to get everyone on the dance floor they will now play a game.

DJ: Everyone has to pick up a ticket from the bowl being taken around now, Ladies pick a pink one and guys select a blue one. Each ticket has a number on it, whoever from the opposite sex has the same number as you is your dance partner for this next song.

Kasturi looked at her number 6 and wondered who her dance partner is. Nikhil on the other hand was pushing a rather reluctant Robbie onto the dance floor and looking for the person with a number 6 ticket.

Nikihl: Yaar I don't understand why you don't want to dance, take my advice and enjoy all your freedom now before you get tied down by someone in the name of marriage''. hey look Kasturi is holding a number 6 ticket

Robbie almost stopped breathing. Nikhil shouted so loud that even Kasturi heard and looked up. They both stared at each other, Robbie swallowed hard, but before he could say anything Nikhil pushed him towards Kasturi. They both stood there looking at each other, Robbie then slowly raised his hand, looked deep into her eyes and waited for Kasturi to place her hand in his. Kasturi slowly raised her hand and placed it softly into his, her touch sent a warm shiver down Robbie's spine.

Amar walked past then and said: Hey Kasturi your ticket says number 9 on it.

Kasturi quickly looked at the ticket she was holding up in her other hand that is when she realised she was holding it the wrong way around.

Amar: Its number 9, that means you're my dance partner, look.

Amar matched both the tickets, he was right. Amar took Kasturis hand and pulled her towards the centre of the dance floor. Robbie was still holding onto her other hand, as she walked with Amar it slipped out slowly from Robbie's gentle hold. They both looked at each other with a sad and almost disappointed look in their eyes.

Robbie crunched the piece of paper in his hand; he walked over to a table and sat down. He looked up and realised he could see Amar and Kasturi dancing from where he sat. He took a deep sigh and clenched his fists. He could not believe his luck, he tried his best to get Kasturi off his mind yet she kept coming back. The following song started playing:

Robbie listened to the song carefully; it's as if the lyrics were saying what he felt inside. Kasturi kept glancing over to where Robbie was sitting, he had his head down his hands folded in front of him on the table, he sat there still. Robbie could not take it anymore he got up and walked out into the garden.

Back in the party the song ended and Kasturi walked away and sat at her table. She realised Robbie was gone, her heart ached in pain she wished she had danced with Robbie, it was clear from his expressions that he too wished the same. Soon Nisha and a few others came and joined Kasturi at the table, Kasturi looked up and smiled trying to hide her tears. The waiter brought some drinks over, Kasturi picked up a glass of orange juice, she did not realise that the juice had vodka in it, the drinks got mixed up some how and she started drinking it.

Pretty much everyone in the party was starting to get drunk. The party was in full swing with the music loud and proud. Robbie walked back in after getting some fresh air. He came in and saw Nikhil and Amar at the bar, clearly both were out their heads.

Amar: yaar Nikhil do you regret being married right now?

Nikhil: marwai ga kya? Deere bol, cant you see Devika mum is standing behind us.

Amar looked over and saw Devika talking to Puru

Amar: Don't worry yaar Devika maam is too busy telling Puru sir off for drinking a whole bottle of wine by himself. She looks as if she's about to hit him with a plate on his head.

Amar was so drunk he had no idea what he was saying, he laughed and held onto Nikhils arm: yaar find me somebody today, there must be someone that will like me amongst these gorgeous ladies.

Just then Robbie approached them both

Amar: hey Robbie, you're a lady's man aren't you? Every girl is mad about you, teach me how you do it please.....what's your secret?

Robbie shook his head at Amars behaviour, he walked over to the other side of the bar away from them. He looked over his shoulder and saw Nisha trying to stabilise Kasturi who was trying hard to stand up. Robbie automatically walked over in worry.

Robbie: Nisha whats wrong with Kasturi?

Nisha: I think she's drunk, she must have drunk the juice that had vodka in it by mistake. She's never drank before that's why she's behaving like this. I am trying to take her back to her room.

Robbie looked around the room, everyone was enjoying themselves he couldn't see anyone else that could help take Kasturi to her room.

Robbie: Nisha its ok you look almost drunk as well, I will take Kasturi don't worry.

Robbie put his right arm around Kasturis shoulders; he put her left arm around his waist and steadied her to start walking.

He managed to take her up to the floor her room was in. Kasturi was pretty much out of her senses, she literally tripped on thin air. Robbie decided to pick her up in his arms and walked to her room door; he took the key from her bag and opened the door. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go inside with her but he also couldn't leave her in that state. He walked in and placed Kasturi on the sofa, Robbie turned around to turn the table lamp on; he turned back and bumped into Kasturi who stood up as Robbie looked away. As a reflex he held her in his arms to stop her from falling she held onto the front of his jacket. Their faces were inches away, they both stared at each other, Kasturi looked into his eyes and whispered: Robbie............ I love you.

Robbie stood there dumbfounded, her words echoed in his ears. He could not believe what she had just said

Kasturi: I really love you Robbie

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she spoke softly, her eyes were fixed into his.

Kasturi: Robbie please don't go away from me.

Robbies eyes filled up hearing her words, he raised his hand and gently wiped her tears. Once again they were at the point of kissing each other. There was no holding back this time before Robbie could react Kasturi had already reached for his lips and kissed him. A volcano of emotions erupted inside him when he felt her lips, he held her tighter against him and responded back.

The kiss started to get intense, their body language spoke volumes about how they felt. Robbie being the sober one, came back to his senses and pulled back. He looked at Kasturi who wilted against his chest, Robbie thought: no I cant do this, its wrong, Kasturi Is not in her senses I cant take advantage of her like that, not when she's in this state.

He picked her up and put her down on the bed, pulled up the covers and watched her fall asleep.

Robbie walked to his room, He could smell Kasturis sweet feminine perfume all over him. He wiped his face with his hands and ran them through his hair. Did she really mean what she said? He thought, does she really love me? Robbie hated the word 'love', now hearing it from someone about him left him wondering if it really is that bad to fall in love. Whatever it is Robbie decided to stay away from it all, he was not prepared to listen to the little voice in his heart. An emotionally drained and exhausted Robbie took off his clothes and stepped into the bathroom to take a cold shower.
