Recap: It was Kasturi's first day at SI. Puru, Nikhil and Alaana are introduced. Kasturi is enjoying her first day working at SI. RoKa meet for the first time in Robbie's office. Kasturi now agrees with her new found friend Diya that Robbie is a very attractive guy

It was nearing the end of the working day. Kasturi began wrapping up her work load and making sure she had everything done.

Gayatri: Kasturi come here let me show you how to check and send out the employee payslips and the other payments that we have to make.

Gayatri was showing Kasturi how to work the payroll system when Kasturi came across a cheque payment to file.

Kasturi: What is this? It's a large sum, who are we paying this to?

Gayatri: oh that is a cheque for the local orphanage. Since Robbie has joined the company every month he donates some money to the orphanage out of his own salary. SI has been around for decades now but till this day nobody has ever done something like this. He also often sponsors charity events and parties for the kids too. Iv even heard he personally visits them on his birthday. Robbie is a very generous boy; he has a heart of gold.

Hearing about Robbie's kind gestures Kasturi felt a warm and proud feeling develop inside her. She sat on the chair and just stared at the cheque. Nobody looking at Robbie would think he has such a big heart inside him. Who in this day and age wants to donate money or give charity, that too from their own salary? There is definitely more to Robbie Sabarwal than it seems she thought to herself.

Gayatri: Ok Kasturi that's all done now, we can send the payslips off. Its nearly 5.30, we should be leaving.

Kasturi picked up her bag and headed towards the lifts. She saw Diya waiting for her and they both made their way out. As they came out the lifts they heard laughter coming from towards the front doors. There were a few of the elder ladies that worked in SI, they were laughing and sharing a joke with Robbie who was holding the doors for the ladies to walk out. Kasturi could see this as she walked towards the door. She looked at Robbies laughing face; he looked so happy and cheerful. Robbie must have cracked a joke and one of the ladies pulled his left cheek. The rest of them laughed as Robbie held his ears to say 'sorry'. He looked so cute and baby like.

Kasturi looked towards Diya who was almost running to get to the door while Robbie was still standing there. The other ladies walked out and Robbie was about to let go of the door when he turned to see Kasturi and Diya coming. He held the door open waiting for them to go out, like a true gentleman. Diya felt like her heart had stopped and she would faint any moment, Kasturi noticed this and held onto her arm almost pulling her out. Robbie and Kasturi both smiled as they passed by each other. That's all Kasturi could do, for some reason she couldn't bring any words to come out. They walked out and Diya let out a huge sigh and held her hands towards her heart.

Diya: Sach mein Kasturi. I dont know what happens to me every time I see Robbie. My legs stop walking, my eyes stop blinking and my heart stops beating, its like I am……..

Kasturi: bas bas! That's enough drama. He is only human, if you touch him you wont melt. He hasn't landed from out of space or dropped from the sky. How are you going to work here if you behave like this?

Kasturi began trying to reason out that there is nothing extraordinary about Robbie, as they walked to the bus stop. She did not know why she reacted like that, was it because really there is nothing special about him, he is just another guy or was it because she felt a bit jealous about the way Diya is feeling?

It did not make a difference to Diya, she was still walking on cloud nine.

Diya: okay Kasturi my bus is here, I will see you at work on Monday bye.

Kasturi went home that day feeling tiered and exhausted. Not from the work but from the confusion inside her. Why was a guy she had only met bothering her so much? She decided to spend some time with Tanu and Navneet to get her mind off things. They were watching TV, when a promotional ad of SI came on.

Navneet: Hey diii that's were you work now, wow they even advertise on TV that's so cool.

Tanu: Diii have you met everyone from the Sabarwal family? I was talking to my friend about your new job there, she told me that the family's really nice especially the son, Robbie. Is it true diii is he really handsome?

Kasturi thought oh no not here as well, there is just no getting away from Robbie.

Kasturi: I don't know Tanu I did not get a chance to see him properly, it was only my first day. She said this and ran to her room and closed the door.

In Sabarwal house, Devika walked to the dining hall and noticed every ones there apart from Puru. That's nothing new She thought to herself. The Sabarwals hardly ever had lunch or dinner together at the table, everyone was always too busy doing there own things, that family bonding had no meaning in their house. Yet today at least Robbie, Nikhil and Alaana where here.

They all sat there first eating in silence. Devika looked up and said:

So Alaana how is your boutique going? Have you got the new season stock yet? I was thinking of visiting this weekend to do some shopping for myself.

Alaana: Boutiques doing fine mum, I am getting on fine by myself. I don't have anything suitable for your age, don't bother coming down, go check out some of the other stores in the city centre.

Devika felt hurt by Alaanas words. She was always so cold and blunt towards her mother. Devika failed to understand where she went wrong in her upbringing, why have her children turned out like this? She spent her whole life working trying to give them a good life and this is what she gets in return. There was an awkward silence in the room, everyone ate in silence. Devika looked up and looked at Robbie who had his head down and was just playing with his food, he wasn't eating much. He was different from his sisters. He is Devikas little star, Devika hoped that Robbie will live and fulfil all her desires, he wont let her down. Devika felt a little tear escape her eyes she quickly wiped it before anyone saw.

Nikhil: Mum the new employees have settled in really well, I am happy you have selected the best people to work for us. Nikhil decided to break the silence and spoke softly to Devika. Nikhil might live with his in laws but he never felt like he was sponging off them, he found a mother in Devika and tried to maintain a kind relationship between them despite Alaanas behaviour.

Devika: yes Nikhil your right, we have a very talented bunch of people, im sure they will do very well. I especially like the new HR head Kasturi, she is a very sweet girl.

As Robbie heard Kasturis name his head shot up, he had no idea why he was so affected by her name. Robbie cleared his throat and said:

Mum I will be in the gym if anyone needs me. Everyone soon dispersed to their own rooms. That was a typical evening in the Sabarwal house. Everyone did their own thing and spent time away from each other.

It was Saturday morning. The Sabarwals had their own office in the basement of their house. Devika and Puru called down Robbie and Nikhil to discuss something important.

Nikhil: Mum whats so important that we have been called here this early on a Saturday morning? Maine chai bhi nahin phee abhi tak.

Devika: Nikhil this is more important than drinking tea. You both know we have been planning a new training programme. We have only just received the feedback forms from every department, I thought we will have this week to discuss the feedback and then we will go ahead with it next month. Unfortunately, somebody has booked the programme for this month by mistake. Devika gestured with her head towards Puru. The deposit payment has been made and the bookings have been done. They are expecting us to be there on Monday.

Robbie and Nikhil both were shocked.

Robbie: Monday? Mum that's like day after tomorrow. How are we going to arrange everything?

Devika: Exactly. If someone did not mess up and consulted us before making the arrangements we would not be in this mess right now.

Puru: Well if you go and keep changing and making all the decisions yourself with out notifying me, then how am I going to know what is happening in MY Company?

Devika: Puru please, don't blame me for your mess. Why do you always…….

Nikhil: okay okay its fine, we can work something out.

Nikhil stepped in before Devika and Puru got into another one of their big arguments. They often argued and disagreed on most things. Robbie stood there in silence, he hated seeing his parents argue, there was so much hatred for each other in their eyes, Robbie wished he could wipe away the distance his parents shared.

Robbie: Mum its fine you go and rest upstairs. Me and Nikhil will sort it out.

Robbie and Nikhil worked hard and managed to arrange everything. Only thing left now was to give all the Heads of every department a call and let them know about the plan. The training programme has been arranged for a 4 day 3 night trip away to Delhi.

Nikhil: here Robbie you phone up these people and I will do these. Hopefully everyone will be able to come.

They phoned around and so far everyone is able to come. Robbie looked at the next name on the list and saw Kasturis name. He looked at her name and number for a while than began dialling.

Kasturi: Hello

Robbie: Hey ermm this is Robbie from SI

Kasturis heart almost came in her mouth. She could not believe what she just heard. She calmed herself down and said:

Hi ermmmm how are you? Is everything ok?

Robbie was touched by her sweet voice on the phone, she spoke gently and asked so politely.

Robbie: yes im fine. How are you?

Robbie was so lost in her voice he almost forgot why he called

Robbie: I know this might come a little sudden and you have only just joined us but will you be able to come on Monday to Delhi with us for the training programme?

Kasturi: I was working on some of the files for the training, but how come its been arranged so soon?

Robbie explained everything to Kasturi.

Robbie: so you will come wont you?

There was a slight hope in his voice that she will come.

Kasturi: yes I will.

Kasturi agreed straight away without thinking of asking her parents first, she had no idea why she just could not say no to Robbie.

Robbie: okay that's great. I will send you an email with all the details and what you need to bring with you. Check your mails soon.

Kasturi: okay see you on Monday, thanks for calling. Bye

Robbie: Bye

For some strange reason neither of them felt like hanging up. They both held onto the phones after disconnecting the call. Kasturi then ran down to tell her parents about the trip. She was sure they will understand and won't say no.

JP and Kaushi looked at each other than looked towards Kasturi. She had her head down and twitched her scarf in between her fingers. She was hoping and praying inside that her parents agree for her to go.

JP: Kasturi puttar what do you think……we are going to agree for you to go away for 4 days?

Kasturis hopes faded away she looked up and did not know what to say.

JP: Puttar we are not that bad of course you can go! Why would we not let you take a step towards your future? This trip is important for your job then you must go.

Kaushi: ha beta, although its for 4 days and that too another city I am ready to allow you to go on your own. After all you have just started the job and SI is a very reputable company I am sure you will be fine. Ja jaldhi ja beta you have to start packing.

Kasturi was elated she ran and hugged her parents before hopping up the steps to start packing. Monday seemed like a decade away for Kasturi, she was so excited and slightly nervous as well.

Finally Monday morning arrived. All the people going on the trip came and stood outside SI. JP dropped Kasturi off by the gates. It was very early just past half five in the morning. The coach has arrived and they were ready to leave. Everyone slowly boarded the coach. Since Kasturi did not really know anybody there (only the heads of every department were going) she sat on a seat by herself next to the window side.

Robbie and Nikhil were the last ones to get on. Nikhil took the seat next to Devika because he had some paper work to run through with her. Robbie turned to see only one seat left and that was next to Kasturi. Kasturi was too busy looking out the window that she did not realise Robbie standing by her seat.

Nikhil: arre Robbie. Are you planning to stand and make the journey to Delhi? Sit down, there is a seat right next to you. He almost pushed Robbie and at the same time the driver started the coach which caused Robbie to slightly jerk and he went crashing down on the seat, knocking his arm against Kasturis elbow. Kasturi turned to see Robbies face just inches away from hers.

Robbie: I am sorry. Looks like your bumping habit has got hold of me. Robbie said letting out a smile. Kasturi felt a slight blush. She did not expect Robbie to be so close to her.

Robbie: actually there is no other seat left so I hope you don't mind me sitting here.

Kasturi: oh no it's fine. Kasturi turned her face towards the window trying not to look directly into Robbies deep eyes.
