I was watching The Handmaid’s Tale, much after it ended on Amazon Prime Video.
And, there was this particular song-scene in the soundtrack that just gives me goosebumps everytime I hear or watch it. So, beware of this long post 🤪

There was a track where the FL gets separated from her true soul love Luke and is always looking forward to run back to him. Then, she finds Nick, another man who supports her through her darkest days. And, guess what? Despite all her pining for Luke, she falls in love with another man.

I shall always love you, but I may not be in love with you anymore.

This is what defines everything for me in KZK despite the effing BS served in the name of the story!

Resplendent, Comfort and Sparks! PreRish

There’s a lot of mystery shrouded around the relationship Prerna and Bajaj share. Both are extremely comfortable around each other. Bajaj is not nervous or disappointed nor is Prerna jumping out of her skin with his touch.

From there to here.... it’s been a long journey. Despite everything, despite her sadness which should be extremely evident on her face if she wasn’t comfortable in her new life, Prerna looks resplendent! Like the fire and ashes that have made her rise as a Phoenix! Stronger, delightful and confident. Probably, no longer a woman who wants to kill herself in hopeless misery! She looks glowing with confidence! She is not spiteful but determined.

Rishabh Bajaj is not snarky, is not sinister and he is not miserable either. All he ever wanted was the sukoon of his family! That’s evident on his face clearly! But, there’s a certain loneliness in his eyes. Eyes that could probably crave for more, maybe the woman could love him back even for a second?

Their sparkling chemistry is instant! It’s not bland or boring like an elderly couple. He opens his arms and she knows he has to hug her. She gives him that. He caresses her and closes his eyes to sink in that moment. She is not shaken or uncomfortable or awkward. She gives him that moment. A woman knows when a man loves her. If that unspoken acceptance of his comfort not love, then what is?

She gives him that! The mighty Rishabh Bajaj and the pullet of a wife demanding the trophy of their bet is intriguing to watch. There is no hatred, there is no reverence or gratitude but they have crazy HAQ on each other. And, sparks should fly.

Something I like is her HAQ, not respect which she has for him. He might be the chiding authority but she has passed that phase! She will love him not because she respects him or out of gratitude, she will love him because she would want to love him! That’s the SPARK!

What she shares with Bajaj in unclear, there is no clarity in their relationship to the viewers and that’s what the hook line is for!

Gloom, Doom and Personal Growth-Anulika

In the first few minutes only you see the sadness and bitterness in Anurag. He has no comfort and the relationship between him and the rest of the world is of gloom, doom and personal growth of non care. Cold and icky!

The only warmth I noticed was with the nephew! Rest, looks distant and cold.

BB was a nest once, now it looks like a cold house.

The hasty revelation of the no touch clause is so conspicuous!

Ofc yes! Maybe the woman could love him back for a second but she didn't ever. He was fortunate enough to get the sukoon of his family for 8yrs. He was able to keep Prerna away from Kolkata, but then how long will this sukoon stay? Once she steps in kolkata everyone will be at sukoon but him. 😆 will he turn possesive like the last time? Time shall say. but what will happen next? Because we all know whom she will chose when truth comes out. If she doesn't what a growth, but will Ekta want that?

True, he does PDA and she gives in, they are very comfortable. Very comfortable. From moving his hand away for a picture, to hugging him back and having a near too intimate dance, they have come a long way. You know dynamics have changed when you see this. 😆

There are a great number of thoughts swirling about, weaving and intertwining and while I know my muse needs time to pull everything apart simplify things and put them back together in a less complex manner there are several things that stand out:

The relationship Prenra and Bajaj share is similar to what they would have eventually shared had Bajaj not thrown in the towel and skipped town. His maturity would have guaranteed it.

I would not write off his manipulative nature altogether – he managed to keep her out of Kolkata for 8 years… Shivi would have married and she would have become an Aunt– so she was cut off from her family: That does not make sense. As I said, many thoughts swirling and my muse needs time…

Whatever their relationship is, they are comfortable and trusting of each other. He could be yearning for more while Prerna will not allow anyone to truly touch her heart anymore. The hurt and scars run far too deep.

Loved your post. Simply loved it. I rewatched the episode. And realised the HAQ factor. Dare I hope she doesn't want to acknowledge she loves him? There's a sweet smile on her face all the time they talk. This banter is normal for them, you realise. I would love to see a few FBs of the 8 years gone by. They are so comfortable with each other.

But their relationship is incomplete, that is also evident in his demeanour, I don't know how he's brought in that look into his eyes...sadness, unfulfilled longing. #KSG.

Agree and see so much of what you have talked about.

I like the complexity of both couples. Rishab and Prerna are intriguing they have a closeness I think is knitted with, over coming sadness and their journey, love for a child ie Kookie heart break for another , mutual respect and dare I say underlying love which Prerna fulfils towards him by giving him little moments and he in return has her best Interests at heart but also gives in to her wants. Encouraging her to make use of energy in the right way instead of channeling it into revenge. (The childing authority you mention)

I can’t agree more that there is a loneliness in RB’s eyes and a void Prernas around the past.

I think Anurag and kom are a interesting combination too but I think they will be the basis of the unfolding story however I Still want to know more about Prerna and Rishab. They’ve just scratched the surface with yesterday’s episode.
