It was fascinating how the writers of this show had Bajaj call their male lead a "filthy housefly" and his basic characterisation of a dumb- (look how he decided that the best way to malign Bajaj was to get knocked off by him😆)and passive (Bajaj returned Prerna varna is laloo ke bas main kuch nahin) is enough of an insult.

Having an overbearing mother like Mohini is enough to emasculate the best of men, yeh to phir Anurag hai.

See now THAT was sass from Bajaj to Anurag LOL! But still Anurag hasn’t got the public humiliation or family insults Prerna has. It’s only she who has to be the bearer of those taunts. Why?

To you it may seem the purpose of this topic is something else but Prerna’s lack of self-respect has been alarming since Day 1. If certain people don’t want to accept that then what can I do?

Our discussion and the replies here are all to do with Prerna, her decisions and her humiliation. I don’t see anything else here :)

Maybe I have a different idea if what constitutes freedom, empowerment Yada Yada... But the way I see it, when a woman CHOOSES to do something, be with someone, live her life the way she wills it, she is free and she is empowered. And the show that I have watched till today has always had prerna CHOOSING the Basus.. Why? Because of anurag. Irrespective of the fact that mohini doesn't like her. Irrespective of the fact that mohini has never respected her family. Is that right or wrong? I'm no one to comment on it as it's her choice! Prerna chose to come to basu house during the anurag komolika marriage fiasco, claiming to be his wife. And today again, I heard prerna refuse to leave Basu house when mohini ordered or moloy requested. She said even if God asks me to leave, I won't. She stood her ground, she chose. Again her choice! We need to wait for the episode tomorrow but I think after hearing what the doctor says, she has decided to leave for anurag's well being.

I'm not going to address the whole Bajaj chapter in her life and how that's different, coz we may never see eye to eye on it so I'm going to stick to just prerna and her decisions here.

Prerna has always put anurag and her relationship with him above everyone else. Above her family, above herself, maybe even, as some see it above her self respect. Some may say no person or no relationship is worth it. I'd leave that for Prerna to decide. If she thinks anurag is worth it all for her, then that's her choice and I don't see why she has to learn here or what she has to change.

I am curious now, do you really feel that a pregnant Prerna is empowered when she chooses to stay in such a toxic enviornment?

What are your thoughts on women who choose to stay with physically abusive partners- and sadly this is a very common scenario.

People can often make very unhealthy choices and there is nothing empowering about that.

Prerna will never learn what you want her to learn.... This is how she is.... accept her or not

Last time also she sacrificed herself for Anurag and this time too she is leaving BB for him. So I really don't get when people talk about her making decision for herself. From where I saw she made a decision involving both AnuPre and stuck to it. But one chance she got and she doesnt even remember her life over the past few months. Her happiness forever lies with Anurag and this is her choice.

She loves him and is ready to sacrifice herself for him while he equally loves her . We've seen how these two refuse to give up on each other despite having so many communication issues between them. So I don't think the writers are going to change her characterisation soon. So we have an option to accept Prerna like this or keep on bashing her day in and day out. 😳

She doesnt have to learn because she is an empowered victim playing woman of today and this shit lack of self respect full of humilation no where to go life is her choice of her life...in the name of soulmate love

She is the worst female lead on Indian television history. Nowadays when woman empowerment is at its highest and we see woman portraying powerful figures on television and film. What can one say about prerna? She is no role model to look up to. It shows not about it being her choice. Yes she chose to be with basu and his family however what good has her choice done for her? As bajaj said all she does is cry after meeting basu and look miserable. Basu doesn't deserve her neither does his family. The so called family she thinks is Mahaan look what they did to her? Throw her out. And still she will go back and fight for basu because love is powerful? Love yourself first and then love others. As girls and woman this is a big disrespect. Some people called her a nanny when she was with bajaj but bajaj never let an insult come on her. She never had a reason to cry or be sad other than not being with basu. What do we call her now? She is in basu house as an unmarried woman finding all ways to fight to be with him. If something can't be it can't be. It's no coincidence basu married komolika TWiCE already. She isn't going anywhere because she is basu destiny. That family deserves a woman like her not prerna.

Mohini still doesn't like prerna. Even after everything. No matter what she will also be one of the reasons why they can't be together as well as komolika because basu allows people to interfere in their relationship.

The way how I see it. When it comes to basu prerna is at her worst. She is the worst version of herself. Basu is her weakness instead of her strength and it shows a lot in the show. The basus did more damage to prerna then what bajaj ever did. People want to say bajaj blackmail prerna? Maybe but again prerna CHOSE to accept the deal as did basu when he married komolika. So why should komolika and bajaj be blamed? Both soulmates brought these people into their lives. If they wouldve tried to find other ways to help themselves they wouldn't have give in so easily.

Mohini almost got prerna married to a trafficker. She blackmailed prerna. She tried to get komolika married to basu and throw prerna out the house. Basu publicly insulted prerna in front of his family and komilka even though it was fake he still said all those things. Prerna even went to jail for him. Now getting thrown out the house while pregnant. LOL this is the result of consequences of her choices. Who wants to be ok with the female lead being like this?

Never. Basu Bari people in this season has touched a new low so much so that Molly is still very much human to have asked a pregnant Prerna to leave the house while promising her with big talks, as long as he spares 2 sweet words to her. 🤣 Where are the people who came up with quotes like 'action speaks louder than the words'. 😆 Bass 2 meethe meethe bol bulwalo Basu Bari ke nautankiwalo se, they will be put on pedestal, oh my bad, they never came down from it. 😆Prerna is never going to learn this season, and I SO wish her name was something else even if this is KZK2.0, this woman is just ruining her legacy. I wish she smells the coffee now and abandons the losers as they should be.

When bajaj was there people trended on twitter over a fake fictional relationship. Even wanted to boycott the show for doing their job and showing the story. So people should also boycott and trend on twitter on prerna characterization. To me that is more important and troublesome in the show rather than a fictional marriage on tv
