On one hand she fears Bajaj will harm Anurag and on the other hand she has no qualms in almost threatening Bajaj to not harm Anurag. What is it that you actually want Prerna?

It’s like they’re boasting about this toxic love but they aren’t showing us HOW it got to this point. In this relationship Anurag is an individual, he is the only one human, when Anurag meets Prerna, Prerna becomes an insignificant part of Anurag's life, what she wants is not important, her relationships with people other than Anurag are not important, she is like his hand or leg, it belongs to him and he can do anything with it.

They have explored Anurag's relationship with his mother during his accident, I felt bad for both of them, then Rakhi scenes with her sister again I felt like Bajaj should not harm this family.

There wasn't a Rakhi scene between Prerna and her brother, she didn't even feel sad that it was the first time she didn't do Rakhi ritual with her brother. Prerna's mother doesn't care about her, Prerna's sister is pathetic. In fact their relationships are explored in context to Anurag, how important Anurag is for Prerna's family comes out in every scene that they are giving them.

Who is Prerna? She has no personal life, she has no professional life, she doesn't have a bond with someone who can feel her pain or understand her, the woman is a failure in every aspect

This character is a lost cause. Don't know how, when and if she will ever be redeemed

I was about to type this about rakhi thingy. They showed anurag with his sisters.

There is not a single scene, where prerna felt missing rakhi with her brothers or the Sharma family feeling bad that Prerna is not their with them for the rakhi.

This example is more than enough to show how badly the female main lead is treated in this show.

She has no individuality whatsoever.

A 2019 girl, drop out from college, no career ambition.

The only ambition she has is to sacrifice herself by getting married for the family of Sharmas or basus.

That’s another thing which shocks me. Prerna’s family care far more about Anurag than Prerna herself. They’re no relationship built there either. Basically Prerna only has anything to do if it’s Anurag related, there is a relationship with Bajaj and Kukki (mostly putting her to sleep but something at least). It’s so sad to see the FL doesn’t have her own life or desires or strength.

All Sharmas are very weird characters n of course prerna was Sharma too once upon a time.

Great post and agreed with all the responses here. Prerna has no personality, no sense of self, she exists as an extension of the men around her, and values herself in mesures of ‘Anurag’. She won’t stand up for herself, no bonding with her own family, basically is a blob.
it’s very interesting that people said there are no Rakhi scenes with her brothers, no bonding scenes with Kukki except putting her to sleep or reading her a book. Veena and Prerna don’t have heart to heart convos about all the LIFE CHANGING decisions Prerna has made. Is Veena the mother worried about P, has she forgiven P, we won’t know, cuz the writers don’t care about Prerna the woman, and believe she has nothin to offer except be Anurag’s soulmate.
it’s also interesting that Prerna has shown to have no confidantes, no female friends to share her opinions, thoughts, woes and sorrows, ask for advice, when the main leads do have Anupam, Mehra, etc. We have Maasi who gives us insight to RB the man, but no one to even advocate for Prerna.

The Sharmas are a joke, who have warped sense of priorities, and have such inferiority complex to Basus that they overcompensate by loving Anurag more than their own daughter.
