‘I didn’t know I was so important to Anurag’

I would have no problem with that line if I took out the context of why she said it. I’ve always tried to give her the benefit of doubt and even now I refrain from being too harsh on her but this line she said made me feel so pathetic for her character.

According to her, planning your own accident + trying to get someone else burnt makes Prerna feel important and needed. She doesn’t know Bajaj did the whole fire planning. I was stunned at how her thinking is regarding Anurags actions. Imagine a girl from today or any era actually thinking it’s ok for her to boyfriend to plan his own injury and someone else’s just to get her back. It’s so so toxic and unhealthy.

Why Prerna? Why do you want to feel important in such a manner? Where is your self-importance?

Anurag's love is so ingrained in her that without him, she feels that her own existence doesn't matter. And that's concerning. She doesn't know where she begins and Anurag ends and same with Anurag. I know, love is strong and powerful but to the sense that it makes you feel useless in it's absence is not good.

To show that a relationship or Ship is important part of the story, they have always given Prerna these dialogues, worst ever was that body and soul belongs to Anurag and that's why Bajaj can not touch her 🙄 it is such a problematic statement that one has given someone a free pass to do anything with her body, this dialogue was followed by Anurag slapping and manhandling Prerna, which told me what they mean by love and rights over her body.

How can Bajaj or Anurag love her, if she doesn't feel worthy of loving herself? To answer your question, there's no self in Prerna, she gave everything to Anurag, she has lost her individuality in her relationship with Anurag. Toxic relationship 101

It’s funny because I’ve loved soulmate, star-crossed lovers type love stories before but that’s because there was actual soul in their yearning and pain. Here their foundation itself so pathetic, I don’t get why they feel so strongly about each other when all they’ve been doing is stupidly sacrificing. It’s so so hard to connect to this consuming love!

i dont feel she meant it that way.....she basically was referring to how anurag has left everything in life and he has made getting prerna back the only aim in his life. She dint expected ki woh yun apni life tahas nahas kar lega if she left him. She thought he will cry for some time but move on .....what she saw, she never expected that. She dint thought she was that important in his life that her absence as a lifepartner will have the strength to change him as a person. Like people say in this forum ......that anurag was something else before bajaj entered the show. I feel she meant in that way and she is not proud of it. She is just shocked at the happenings.

Bang on post!! Her character and the lines she spouts are surely not what a woman of 2019 is. Another line of hers was, that she doesn't want to be important in anyone's life except Anurag's. Girl, have some sense of self worth and learn to love yourself first. But I guess it's too much to expect from Prerna 2.0 who is a college dropout, is carrying a lovechild but not bothered about the baby and has no sense of self worth. Well then Prerna babes, how about you make enough effort to actually be WITH Anurag. You know what their biggest problem is? They are trying to show to everyone that true love is just sacrificing. It’s like they’re boasting about this toxic love but they aren’t showing us HOW it got to this point. Their love which is meant to be at the core of the show is so shoddily written that these dialogues come out extremely hollow, as does their love.

That line came after she found out that Anurag tried to burn Bajaj. How did she expect him to move on when she didn’t even give a closure to him? This is why they both come across so idiotic. They are always willing to marry other people for the stupidest reasons but then they want to love each other only. How about putting all that love and effort in to saving their own relationship?

But Uski expressions se tho nahin laga ki she is shocked.

Anyhow it's waste of time to talk about her anymore.

Good for her if she unites with ap.

But for me a relationship won't sustain for long when there is no communication between two people.

Just love is not enough for long run.

She wants to stay away from anurag, wants him to move away from her and then she says ‘I only want to be important to Anurag’. Why woman? You want him to move on right? Stop playing games and decide what you want. If you want to leave the marriage then FIND a way if you’re that in love with Anurag!

On one hand she fears Bajaj will harm Anurag and on the other hand she has no qualms in almost threatening Bajaj to not harm Anurag. What is it that you actually want Prerna?
