Being financially independent and having a career of your own is always a plus because with the high cost of living these days, it is good if your family gets some extra financial support.Also you don’t know what will happen tomorrow...life is uncertain.These things should be discussed with your partner/family to understand their views but at the end of the day it should be solely your decision. If somebody finds happiness in being a home maker , it should not be looked down upon because like I said earlier it is not an easy job especially when you do not have any help.I have seen so many couples taking this decision mutually where one goes out to work and earn money and the other manages the house... and they are all happy with this arrangement. I don’t think your career alone defines you.
