People make mistakes and they evolve, they move on, they learn and they express and accept. That’s how people are in real lives! Comparing and contrasting is inevitable in the -HINDI TV DRAMA WORLD.

Comes as a part of baggage and online fan wars. A story is beyond Jodi’s, it should be an experience. If we view it like that, mutual respect and adulation for all characters automatically follows.

Bajaj is needed for the story to evolve and move ahead. Sometimes, love is highly overrated and comes in different forms. You can love two people at the same time but forms could be different.

Let’s see how things unfold. 😊

Very well put! 👏

I believe grey characters possess a unique charm and a pull that's absent in one-dimensional, ideal characters.

@Bold - One of my all time favourite quotes. Well that's what RB is supposed to be.

Hi UKgirl :)

Ok, for me it doesn't matter which actor is playing what role. So even though I don't care about the actor playing Bajaj, this character strikes a chord coz Anu-Pre-Bajaj and Prem were my favourites from season 1 and hence the nostalgic factor.

I am definitely going to give this Bajaj, a chance. How do you decide who is good and who is evil? Anurag questioning his wife 's pregnancy or Bajaj morphing his pic with Prerna? For me, both. But then that's season 1 story and keeping it aside, if you just look at season 2, then Bajaj hasn't even entered ! Today they would be showing the first episode, all we know about him is, he is arrogant, ruthless and snatches others companies. Contrast this to Anurag, who promises marraige, gets pre pregnant, without telling her marries someone else and publicly humiliates her and calls her a gold digger.

So how do you define good boy vs bad boy. Everyone has good and negative points, it just depends on which points you are looking at.

I rest my case :)

Expectations....may be

Like you don’t expect a good guy to make mistakes and so when he does .... it dissapoints you and hence you expect apology and all .

But you don’t keep any such expectations from a Bad guy ... so even his minute goodness end up surprising you .

I won’t call Bajju irredeemable or horrible yet ... vile he is .

So, there’s nothing gut-wrenching repulsive act done by Bajaj till now. Malevolent and manipulative-Yes

Viciously horrible- No for sure.

All his acts today have been manipulative but Mohini is also manipulative... and there are lots of websites exalting her love as a mother. Being manipulative can be subjective and sometimes even love can manipulative, not to mention business.

I would say holding a gun to your business rival as is shown in the Precap is malevolent but that’s just me.

The main point I want discuss is the ageism comment.

I dont think it’s that simple to say that people finding the idea of a 20 year age difference, difficult to deal with are being ageist. Or that people who like anurag and prerna are only into the characters because they blindly like the actors. That’s unnecessarily belittling. Most people who like bajaj do so based because they like the actor now playing him or because in season 1 the precious actor did a amazing job with the role.

Put that completely to one side, in real life it is very very rare that people who are 22 and 44 have anything in common with each other. In an arranged marriage scenario, this age difference only exist to the disadvantage of the women. In the office atmosphere I often as pedagory men in power trying it on with women of my age.

Ageism exist in business, in the acting world, in society. All of that is true. But in love and marriage - the aim is to usually grow with someone and that’s rarely possible when two people have such a big difference in age and phase of love.

Can I just saw - it’s so nice to have a sensible discuss on this topic with you!

All is bajaj and prerna from season1 and thier chemistry & their family life..

But once if they watch this season from first episode they will know what anupre are as a couple.

They will feel why bajaj character is needed.

please speak for urself. I followed s2 in the beginning nd didn't like Anupre. Bajaj is needed that's why Ekta has brought him.

All th the points to raise are about season 1 - I can’t argue about good things Bajaj did in season 1 versus bad things anurag did in season 2. That’s why I said intially that please let’s not do that.

Everything you said anurag did he did do. But in law you have a difference drawn between basic laws, fundamental laws/rights. The principle being that there are things that are grey and then there is black and white. That’s why you have murder and manslaughter. Holding a gun to someone’s head and all that sort of stuff for business, in law at least fall into a separate category.

First of all, business acquisitions don’t happen such dramatically and no acquisition stakeholders call each other names!

So, give some credit to Ekta for bringing this unnecessary melodrama. Business acquisitions happen when the current business is in trouble and the current employer isn’t able to sustain. That’s real life business for you. So, I do not see anything vile in this. By this means, everyone in the business world would be vile!

So Bajaj, vile - No

Selfish and self centred- Yes

No one is selfless in this world. So can we not talk black and white?

Irredeemable? Well, that’s too early to say even!

Older Man- Well, I never knew that older people are supposed to be discarded or even dissed?

Having said all of this, people aren’t cheering for Bajaj, they are cheering for the acting and the character impact it brings to the table. There was a dramatic introduction for Prerna, Anurag too! They were cheered as well.

This is not about who is better, it is about the journey of three individuals who are thrown with each other in a story. The story is about their journey, towards each other, with each other or away from each other.

Forgiveness, compassion and redemption are bigger words and require journey, effort and a soul churning. Not that I expect anything from an Ekta Drama but it’s important not to pitch Anurag against Bajaj. They aren’t competitors, they are people who have a journey and interaction. Anurag or Bajaj who deserves Prerna is not the question. It is their journey that matters.

Sadly, such story telling doesn’t exist anymore anywhere. For oldies like me, it’s okay to search for more in stereotypical romance!

This has got to be the most sensible reply in this thread. Thank you for putting across your points so nicely👏

ukgirl, ur point about two people with 20 years of age difference having nothing in common is so right.

But let's wait, bajaj is not here to just be a partner to Prerna, he is just a catalyst to Anupre story.

Many of us are not shipping Bajaj prerna, we are just waiting to see prernas journey through this ruthless man.

I think that's OK, I for one don't expect pre to redeem him or fall in love with him.

But yes, Pre can very well have an equation with him, and just because they have 20 years difference don't mean that they will never be compatible. They can have a different relation, let cvs explore that angle.

Don't we find people of our own ages who r hardly compatible.
