Bani sat back and watched them together, the same black hair, the same big eyes, the similarity was subtle but it was there nevertheless, if you watch carefully it was thereā¦..Jai's mobile started ringing,

I don't know Bani who should be grateful, this girl seems to have brought luck, my brother-in-law just now called up, we were trying to pursue a gentleman for his property in Kerala to build a resort, he was not agreeing, just now he called Aditya to say he is ready to sale us the land, mind you sale without negotiationsā¦ā¦
Tears filled Bani's eyesā¦ā¦she blinked it awayā¦Jai got up, made Jeeya comfortable and opened an online cartoon for herā¦.as Jeeya got immersed in the show, her giggles and clapping amused Jai, he watched her antics, unlike the children he knew, she was innocent for her age, there was a light tap on his shoulders, Jai turned around to Bani signaling him to come with herā¦
They go out of the chamber, Bani shows a bag containing Jeeya's things kept next to his secretary's deskā¦it has all her favourite clothes and toys, incase she throws tantrums serve her with paratha of any kind with aam ka achar, she will cool down, she is a bit hyper in nature, sometimes needs a firm hand to controlā¦.
Why are you telling me all these now Bani, come on I will take you home, stay with us for few days, let Jeeya get adjusted and then leaveā¦
No, I will go away now, my flight is tomorrow but there are seats for tonight even, I will go now, I have some last minute work and will have to change the flight tooā¦.

Jai pressed her hands, they were wet with sweat, just that moment how he wished he could turn back the clock, if only things those mishaps did not happen, if onlyā¦.suddenly Bani turned detangled herself and ran out of the office towards the reception, much to the surprise of Jai & his secretaryā¦.

Sheela now calm down, remember you had your family support, so things were somewhat easier but Bani seems to have cut all ties with the family evenā¦.
Suddenly the door openedā¦..Mummy cried out Jeeya, uncle where is my mummyā¦.
Jai picked her up, beta she is gone shopping, come you and I will have a chat, will you like to have hot chocolateā¦Sheela just get a glass of hot chocolate for Jeeyaā¦
That I will order Mr Walia but get ready for a tearful eveningā¦.

By the time Jai took Jeeya to his home, she was no longer the cheerful and happy child who entered his office sometime back, now she was throwing tantrums, demanding to see her mother, not interested in the laptop anymore, stood outside the lift area of the office to see if her mother was getting off, when Jai realized it will be useless to stay in office and baby sit her, she may cheer up seeing so many people in his house he left office, only after Jeeya had Sheela's promise that she will send her mother as soon as she come to this uncle's houseā¦
Jeeya's eyes never left the window to see if her mother is amongst the crowd of people on the roadā¦.Woh kho to nehi jayengi na? She asked Jaiā¦

Jai did not have an answer for that, when they reached his home, his family members were expecting them, they came forward to welcome her, she held Jai's hand and hid behind his back, finally with bit of coaxing Masi brought her out, took her to the room she had prepared for her, even in short time, things looked bright and cheerful only Jeeya was not interestedā¦.she looked out of the window to see if her mother was comingā¦..masi seeing the same, sent for Jai and asked him to inform Jeeya the real reason of her mother not coming,
Dekho beta yeh kam se kam 3 mahine ka sawal hai, the girl must know the truthā¦.but tell her, children after all has the right to know the truthā¦
Her mother should have done it, grumbled Jigyasa, Jai sisterā¦.

Jai entered Jeeya's room and picked her up, made her sit on the window seat and slowly narrated Bani's reason of leavingā¦.Jai made her understood that to take care of her, her mother has to earn more so has to be educated to work in a big school hence she has gone to study for 3 monthsā¦.got the calendar to show her how many days will be 3 months, phone karegi tabh tum baate karnaā¦hearing everything Jeeya got down from her seat, went to the toilet to change, washed herself, with Masi put away her goods in the almirah. For dinner it was her favourite aloo ka paratha but she hardly ate anything staring at the plate, on being coaxed took a bite or two from Masi's hand but refusing to chewā¦.that night, Masi came to share the room with her, before retiring to his room, Jai peeped in to see Masi sleeping but Jeeya was standing at the window looking at the moonā¦ā¦ā¦
