Uday Walia looked at his wife who was looking up to him hopefully, waiting for his answer. He knew this was coming as he had seen the look that she had given to Bani when she had come into the living room. Giving a smile to Krishna, he took her hands in his and spoke, " Mujhe bhi Bani bohot pasand hain."
Krishan gave a smile to her husband. He seemed to have read her mind. She leaned in and placed her head on his shoulder, his hands still holding her. "Lekin Jai? Uske yeh manzoor hoga… Aaj kal wo uss Roshni ke saath zyaada waqt bitata hain… Mujhe wo bilkul pasand nahin hain.." "Jaanta hoon main.. Mujhe bhi pasand nahin hain.. She's very arrogant and has no respect for anyone.. Aapne aap ko wo bohot mahan manti hain. Tum fikar mat karo, main baat karunga.. He has to listen to me. Everyone, including Jai was gathered for dinner. As Tony served the food, Uday Walia cleared his throat and got ready for what he was about to say.
Uday: Everyone, I have taken a decision. Along with Ranveer's marriage to Rano, we have decided to get Jai married too.
Jai choked on his food as soon as he heard that from his dad. Getting his glass, he gulped down the water to stop the choking. "KYA??? What are you talking about Dad?? Who ever mentioned of getting married??"
Krishna, who was seated beside Uday suddenly lost her appetite. She knew this was coming. She knew her son would definitely object to this. Keeping her fingers crossed, she just hoped that her husband would convince their son.
Uday: This is my final decision Jai. You will get married on the same day as Ranveer, to Bani Dixit, Rano's elder sister. I and your mother have decided to make her our bahu. Bohot pyaari bachi hain, sanskari bhi, perfect for the Walia kandan's bahu. No more arguments Jai. If you try anything funny Jai, I'll make sure you regret it. And yes one more thing, you better let Roshni know about this as soon as possible Jai. Kissi ko mere faisla se koi aitraaz hain?
Everyone present just shook their head. All knew about Jai and Roshni and also why Roshni stuck to Jai. Somehow only Jai wasn't able to see the true Roshni. She stuck to him just for his money and nothing else.
Jai abruptly stood up and stormed up to his study. Banging open the door, he walked to his window. Putting his hand through his hair, he cursed at what his father had just said. "Damn! What's wrong with Dad??!" Slamming his hand on the wall, not caring whether it hurt or not. Me and marry some middle class girl?! God, patani kya dekha usme mummy papa ne. Aur Roshni? Uska kya hoga? Main to sirf usse hi apni patni banana chahta tha. Kya karoon mein! Damn it!!
Everyone had finished their dinner in silence. No one dared say a single thing especially after hearing the tone in which Uday Walia had just made the announcement. Soon, one by one they left the table leaving Uday and Krishna.
Krishna: Kya wo manega apki baat? Mujhe ghabrat ho rahi hain.. Agar usne nahin mani to..
Uday: Nahin Krishna, aisa nahin hoga. He has to listen to me. I very well do not want that Roshni as my daughter-in-law. Tum fikar mat karo Krishna, wo meri baat zaroor manega. Bani was just making lunch for the day when the doorbell rang. "Is waqt kaun hoga" Wiping her hands on the towel, she quickly made her way towards the door. There stood Ranveer's mom's elder brother and wife. There was someone else behind them too, dressed in black suit, hair gelled up looking very dashing. But he seemed to be in a very bad mood. He was glaring at her like as though she was some kind of dirt. " Yeh log abhi.. Yahan? Aur wo kaun hain..."
Bani, getting out of her thoughts: Namaste Aunty, namaste Uncle. Ayye na, andar ayye. Main apke liye chai lati hoon. As she got her guests settled down, she rushed into her father's room and informed them about their arrival. Asking him to tell Rano too, she quickly went to the kitchen to make tea. Within a few minutes, she came out with a tray with 3 cups of tea and some snacks. She noticed her father seated there along with Rano who was seated beside Krishna, with her head bowed down. Her little sister looked so adorable blushing, soon she was going to be the wife of the person whom she loved. She was so so so happy for her. Smiling, she walked over to the where they were seated, she placed the tray on the table and one by one, gave Uday and Krishna a cup. When she reached out to the other person, he rudely stopped her by a wave of his hand and looked away in disgust. " Yeh inko kya ho gaya? Weird guy"
Uday: Aap log ko hamein yahan dekhar bohot ajeeb lag raha hoga. Par baat hi kuch aisi hain, Nishikantji.
Father and daugthers both looked at them, wondering what the matter was. They were indeed very surprised to see them. They just hoped everything was alright..
Nishikant: Ji nahin bhai saab. Sab thik to haina?

Nishikant gave him a smile to which he got no reply.
Uday: Mein sidhe point par aata hoon. Hum aaj yahan apne bete ke liye apki badi beti ka haath mangne aye hain. Hum chahte hain ki Rano ke saath, Bani bhi hamare ghar mein aye hamari bahu banke. Jai ki patni banke.
