Part 11
Jai couldn't believe that Bani wanted to have her dinner here but when he saw that she was serious he didn't mind at all. They were actually at a dhaba which was called Lucky's Dhaba. As the way their way in, a Punjabi man wearing a turban came to them
Man : Aao aao madamji aur sirji……welcomeji to Lucky's Dhaba….bhatoji
Jai was amaized to see this happy go lucky man but he didn't mind at all actually he was enjoying this. On the other hand Bani was happy that Jai didn't mind at all to eat here. They took their sit while listening to the man
Man : To bataoji aap log kya loga……….humara paas bohot tera da khana haji jaise ke sasur da saag, makhan di roti, chicken tika, chicken tandori aur thandi thandi lassi…..aap bataiye aap kya loga
Jai who was so lost as he didn't know what to answer just kept looking at Bani. Bani who sensed Jai's dilemma quickly took charge of things and ordered food for them and once the man was out of side Bani turned to Jai and said
Bani : Jai I hope u don't mind eating here right
Jai : Bani don't be silly I really don't mind and it's a change for once but I am surprised that u actually choose this place
Bani : U know Jai just because I can afford a luxury dinner in a 5 star hotel people think I'm like that but actually I love to eat at places like this cause this is places were u can really enjoy ur food without being watched and jugged.
Jai realized that what Bani was saying was true as whenever he goes to a fancy restaurant people will be watching his ever move and he always feels suffocated. Jai came out of his thoughts as he heard Bani continue speaking
Bani : Last time I used to go to places like this often especially with my friends, we loved to hang out at places like this as we can have fun, laugh and just eat without being worried that we are loud or making a fool out of ourselves. But now everything has changed as everyone are too busy with their own lifes.
As Bani was speaking about her life he saw the spark in her eyes when she remembered all the happy times she spend with her friends and later how her eyes became sad as she is missing her friends. He wanted to say something to comfort her but right at that time the man came back with their food.
Man : Loji aap logo ka khana agaya…..enjoyji aur kuch chahiya mujhe batanaji
With that said the man left and Jai and Bani started to have their dinner. It was a cute scene as Jai was not used eating with his hands and was trying really hard and Bani just felt bad for him that she started feeding him and later when he got the hang of it he ate by himself but he rather Bani feeding him but he didn't want to push it to far.
Once the finish with their food they drank their lassi and once finished they looked at each other and burst out laughing as they have some lassi on their upper lips and they looked so funny with a white moustache. They took the napkin and wipe off the lassi from their lips.
Once they was contain with their dinner they paid up and before leaving thanked the man for such a homely hospitality. They made their way to the car and drove off. In the car Jai spoke up
Jai : Thanks Bani for such a lovely evening and I think I haven't been this open for ages
Bani : No Jai I should be thanking u for a wonderful evening but nevertheless I will take the credit for the evening
Jai laughed as he heard Bani saying that…….he was so happy that Bani was opening up to him. The rest of journey they spent in silence but this silence was so calming and they didn't feel awkward. Soon they reached at Bani's house.
Bani : Thank u once again Jai
And that she did something that shocked Jai but he felt so happy just by that, Bani kissed him on the cheeks and told him good night before stepping out of the car. Jai was still waiting there till he was sure she was out of sight and drove back home.
As Bani entered the house she saw the lights was off and everyone probably has gone to sleep so she made her way to her room but before she could enter her room she saw her bhaiya standing near the stairs.
Pushkar was still waiting for Bani not because he didn't trust Jai but just to make sure she was back and just wanted to tease her a bit. Bani was scared to see Pushkar there cause she thought he was angry with her for being late but as she saw the teasing smile on his face she relaxed.
She knew if she waited her for long he wont stop teasing her so she just gave him a hug and ran to her room and closed the door and she could hear him laughing outside. She felt so happy today after so long and prayed that it remained the same. With that thought on mind she took a bath and went to sleep.
As Jai retired to bed he had this sweet smile playing on his lips and hoped that as days passed he will finally able to convince Bani of his love towards her.
