Their union was penned beautifully but the one thing lacking in their union was love. They became one physically only just for Massi's sake. It must have been so difficult for Jai and Bani to get into this act, especially Bani, who had a comfortbale relationship with Jai as her 'jiju' but now has to look at him from a different angle totally.

I can only hope with time, their feelings for each other develop and become stronger so their union gets more meaningful.

Wow Divs.. This was too good. Very touching very sad, but beautifully penned. Cant wait to read the next part. Dont keep us waiting long!

Hearing the door open she hurridly slided the sleeve back and stared at tanu's sleeping form. Jai entered the room and changed in his nightsuit. sliding on his side of bed he caressed tanu's cheeks and placed a kiss on her forehead. bani surprisingly stared at jai as she felt his touch but nope not on her forehead but on her arm as he slowly lifted her sleeve abit to reveal that same red mark.sharring a short eye lock jai hesitadly touched the mark with his thumb and caressed it as if sothing it as if asking her for forgiveness for this. Bani shivered from this contact and hurridly slided her sleeve back and whispered"good night." Jai pulled his hand back and placed a kiss on bani's forehead "good night"

Few days went like this with jai and bani trying to act normal and were even suceding doing so, they started getting comfortable with each other but none of them said this to other one. they would spent some time alone sitting in the terrace gazzing at the moon or tanu would always make them laugh with her funny comments. while at nights tanu would pull jai's hair indicating him that she was awake and wanting to sleep with him. since tanu used to sleep close to bani's chest she would always wake bani up whenever she moved and seeing tanu pulling jai's hair she would giggle while jai in a sleepy state just murmur sumthing and bring tanu close to his chest like bani does and both father and daughter would snore away.

Even massi's health was becoming stable day by day. the doctor was also shocked to see such improvement and that too without any medication. at this bani would stare at jai as if telling him that she was right. Now massi would easily roam in the house like before all she had to do was take care on her diet which bani had made for her.

One evening

Bani had been feeling dizzy from morning but she thought it was just due to some food problem but when her gaze had fallen on the calender she had realised that she didnt have her monthly periods. it had become more then 10 days from the date and she was still due. A thought struck her and she went to jigyasa telling her about this. Jigyasa at first was happy but then before showing it she decided to have a test first "bani. why dont you do the test at home itself. you know now ajj kaal toh . wait mein abhi ayi" jigyasa told one of her maids to go buy the pregnancy checking thing(i m sorry i m dull over here coz i dont know anything about this thing even dont know what they call it😕 )

Bani checked it as per jigyasa told her to do and well the result had come positive but still jigyasa said they should go and have a test at the lab itself.Bani's face lighted with a smile as jigyasa went to call jai telling him to come home early. she didnt told him the reason

After an hour jai was home as he went straight into jigyasa's room wondering why she had called. entering inside the room he saw bani sitting on the bed with jigyasa beside her. on seeing jai jigyasa came with a happy face and said"jai bani hasnt got her monthly periods this month, we did the test at home and it came out positive but phir bhi tum usse hospital lejawo for a confirm test." saying so she left the two alone shutting the door behind.

Jai didnt know how to react. he was yet to be comfirmed if he was gonna become father or not. but somewhere in his heart he knew it was confirm he went and sat beside bani who had her head bowed down.Jai kept his hand over hers "bani get ready we'll go to the doc right now." Bani noded her head followed by a faint"ji" as she got up to go in her room when jai held her wrist and hugged her. not saying a word holding her face inbetween his palms he gave her an assuring smile.

The Doctor took bani's blood and went in the lab. both jai and bani kept sitting in a complete silence. waiting impatiently for the report. after some time the doc came out with a happy face as he announced "congratulations. mrs walia is pregnent."both jai and bani broke into a wide smile and excitedly hugged each other. only to realise that they were in the hospital with the doctor watching them. they pulled apart as jai thanked the doctor.

Sitting in the car before starting the engine jai stared at bani affectionally and whispered"thank you." bani gave a small smile and they drove back home. When massi came to know about this news she couldnt stop smilling happy tears rolled down her cheeks as she hugged bani giving her all the blessings. jigyasa and aditya were even happy while jigyasa cried when hugging bani remembering she still didnt have any kids due to some health problem. Bani and jai both had assured her that tanu and their coming child both were like her kids.

Jai called kiran telling her about the good news. kiran had got shocked and suprised hearing it she wished she could see her daughter's glowing face. she requested jai if bani could come to meet her she wanted to see her. jai had agreed but after a months time since the doc had said bani has to take care and with the early stage of pregnancy such long drives and traveling might not be good for her. kiran had agreed feeling pride on her son-in-law as he took care of her daughter.

Lastly at night when jai and bani finally got some time together after making tanu sleep. bani held her stomach and smiled to herself. Jai sat beside her and kept his hand over hers a single tear roll down bani's cheek as she spoke"jante hai. pehle jab mein uss raat ko yaad kartithi to mujhe apne app pe bohot gussa hota tha aisa lagtatha jaise meine Di ka haq chhinliya ho.par ajj jab uss raat ke barre mein sochti hu to mere samne ek chote se bache ka chehra ata hai aisa lagta hai jaise uss raat ne mujhe sab kuch de diya ." more tears flew from her eyes as she kept her other hand over jai's which was on her stomach she turned to stare at him and added "agar mein maa nahi banti toh mein Di se kabhi nazre nahi milapati. unki tasveer ke samne jane ki himmat nahi hoti."

Jai's eyes moistened as he rubbed bani's tears away with his free hand and gently said "bani tum bohot acchi insaan ho tumne jo massi keliye kiya hamari tanu ke liye shayad hi koi karpata isiliye to bhagwaan ne tumhari jholi mein yeh nanha farishta bhejja.hamara bacha" not knowing why but when jai said 'hamara bacha' bani felt a new emotion rise in her heart .....

After a month and half jai personally took bani at pune to meet her mother. after asking 100s of questions to doctor about bani's traveling jai had agreed for bani to go. bani was going to leave with kiran for a week much to jai's dismay thinking who will take care of bani's diet and her medicines.he had personally came to drop her and told her that he will come to pick her as well.before leaving he had placed a kiss on her forehead and kept his palm over bani's stomach as if touching his kid.

Kiran had been happy seeing her daughter after so long. the mother daughter had their happy moments together as kiran cooked bani's all fav dishes. bani missed tanu so she used to call her everynight knowing at that time jai would also be at home. she and tanu talked alot and then saying the bye tanu would hand the phone to jai. the two never spoke much just a hi hello and jai asking bani if she was alright and taking her medicines and asking if the kiddo is alright.

The day before jai was gonna come to pick bani. both kiran and bani sat in the living room "accha bani beta yeh to batta tum ne itni deer kyun lagayi. mera matlab shaadi ko ek saal hogaya aur uske baad tum maa ban rahi ho.?" Bani looked at kiran for some time then softly spoke"maa apto janti hai meri shaadi kin halat mein huwi usmein bacha. mein unhe kabhi apne pati ka darja de hi nahi parahi thi. hum ne to kabhi bache ke barre mein socha hi nahi tha hamare liye to tanu hi sab kuch thi par massi ki tabiyat achanak se... isiliye humme..warna hum toh kabhi.." kiran was shocked hearing it .but still not sure if she meant that way kiran asked"bani tu kehna kya chahra hi hai. tum aur jai ek sath to hona mera matlab pati patni ki tarha reh rahe ho na."?"

And much to kiran's shock and dismay bani noded her head in negative "maa shaadi ke din se ajj tak meine aur unhone kabhi.. hum ek hi kamre mein rehte hai par kabhi pati patni ki tarha nahi rahe hai. humne sirf ek baar pati patni ki tarha raat sath guzari hai woh bhi is bache ke liye."bani had her head bowed down she didnt wanted to lie to her mother.. Kiran could never believe all this "bani.. tum pagal hogayi ho kya. janti hu tumhari shaadi kaise huwi par woh tera pati hai. tu kamse kamse unke barre mein to soch jai beta tujse kuch nahi kehte iska yeh matlab to nahi na ke tu unki achayioka faida utha. beta woh tera pati hone ke sath sath ek mard bhi hai unki bhi kuch icchaye hoti hai."

Bani hurridly spoke"woh aise nahi hai." kiran was now loosing her temper "woh aisa nahi hai kyunki woh tumhari bohot izad karta hai. par bani tu to samaj accha shaadi ke ek do mahine ki baat alag hai par ek saal. aur tu kehrahi hai tujhe abhi bhi unhe patni ka pyaar nahi dena tha tumne uske sath raat bitayi kyunki tu uska bacha chahti thi. bani abhi bhi deer nahi huwi hai apnale usse. biti batto ko bhulade tuje kya lagta hai yeh sab karne se sonali ki atma ko khushi milti hogi nahi beta woh aur dukhi horahi hogi apni ladli behen ko aise dekh kar."Bani didnt know what to say. kiran's everyword was piercing her heart and she knew somewhere kiran was right.

Kiran held bani's face and in a calm voice added"beta jai bhi ek insaan hai usse bhi pyaar chahiye. dekh yeh mard log na kabhi apni dil ki baat jaldi nahi kehte, tu uska khayal rakhti hai. unki izat karti hai par pyaar beta woh jo shaadi jaise rishte mein sabse zaruri hota hai woh hi nahi hai tum dono ke beech.jai ko pyaar ki zarurat hai sonali ke janeh ke baad woh akela par gaya hai usse tumhare sath ki zarurat hai.isse pehle ki jai kamzoor parjaye aur koi galat rasta chunle tu usse apna banale. woh ek mard hai usse patni ka pyaar chahiye agar tu woh usse nahi degi to shayad woh kisi aur ke paas chalayega woh sukh aur pyaar dhundne."Bani stared at kiran the thought of jai going to someone else made her hate herself. in a broke voice she asked"meine kya karu maa.?" kiran took bani in her arms "kuch nahi sirf apne pati se pyaar kar."

That night bani had a disturbed sleep as she kept thinking about kiran's words.

Next Day morning jai had came to pick bani. Kiran had hugged bani reminding her about their talk she gave bani's hand into jai's. Bani wanted to talk with jai but getting into the car she realised jai had came with the driver so all the way back home she couldnt say much.

Reaching home bani was showered with lots of love from jigyasa and massi and not to forget tanu also who had hugged bani tightly not leaving her for once. Finally at the afternoon when tanu had gone to sleep in the hall itself massi told bani that she is here taking care of tanu while she can go in her room to rest for awhile. bani agreed and went in her room where she found jai reading a file he had came home to take. Bani closed the door behind and tooka step towards him starring at sonali's photo and then at his back she slowly rested her head on his back and slided her hands to his chest hugging him from behind.Jai was taken aback when he felt two tiny hands slip to his chest. turning his face abit he saw bani. not understanding why she did this. he turned and stared at bani who had her head bowed down."i m sorry" whispered bani jai threw the file away and asked"sorry for what?"

"apne jhoot kaha tha mein acchi insaan nahi hu. bohot burri hu meine kabhi apke barre mein nahi socha.mein ek acchi biwi nahi hu apko kabhi ek patni ka pyaar nahi de saki"said bani ina slow tone. jai got all the more confused he held her face making her look at "bani tum kya kehrahi ho. " "mein apko kabhi shadi shuda zindagi ka sukh nahi de payi. yeh bhulgayi ke app bhi insaan hai apke bhi kuch armaan hai.apne mujhe kuch nahi kaha aur mein pagal yehi sochti thi ke meri tarha app bhi iss rishte ko nahi mante. par mein galat thi. mein apki patni banna chahti hu. apko khona nahi chahti.maa ne jab kaha ke app ko bhi pyaar ki zarurat hai aur kaal bhagwaan na kare agar woh pyaar app kisi aur mein dhundne lagge to mein.. mein apko apne se duur nahi hone dungi. apko mein bahot pyaar dungi. par app wada kijiye mujhe kabhi chhorke nahi jayenge.?"

Jai didnt knew what to say. today the bani he was seeing infront of him was a complete changed bani. she sounded like a true wife afraid of getting away from her husband. she feared what if jai left her due to her lack of love for him.bani hugged jai again crying wondering if all that she just said made any sense or not. when she felt no response from jai she pulled back and kept his hand over her head"wadda kijiye ajj ke baad app mujhe apni patni ki tarha dekhenge. mujhe apni patni ka darja denge. app ke maan mein jo kuch bhi hoga woh app mujhe batayenge, agar appko..apko.. mein mana nahi karungi janti hu apko maan ke pyaar ke sath sath tan ke pyaar ki bhi zarurat hai aur mera vishwaas kijiye mein ajj ke baad kuch nahi kahungi apko woh sab kuch dungi jo meine apni bewakufii ki wajahse apna app tak hi rakha."

Jai was touched with her words and the way she was crying he felt his heart flinch with an unknown pain. "wadda karta hu bani. tumhe apne appse kabhi alag nahi karunga. tumhe apne dil mein ek patni ki tarha rakhunga,.." pulling his hand from her head he hugged her and then carried her to the bed. covering her with the comforter he places a kiss on her forehead and told her to sleep she needed some rest. Bani held his hand stopping him from going jai giving a small smile sat beside her until she was asleep.

Bani's stomach had started to show now as she had stepped in her fourth month of pregnancy. she was glowing more day by day. her and jai's relationship had changed alot now she never hesitated holding his hand when they went out for some function or just a casual dinner. although they had still not made love but still their relationship had changed. bani had started calling jai by her ever famous "suniye"while before she would either call the other person with whom jai was talking to get jai's attention or just make sound with her bangles. her morning sickness had already started and everytime jai had been there for her . if she rushed in the bathroom at the middle of night to throw up jai had been there behind her rubbing his palm on her back to make her feel better and even help her wash her face after that.Jai accompanied bani to her every check-up.

It was time for bani's godh bharai as she stepped at her 7th month. her belly coming out in full shape. the baby had also started to kick which jai always loved while bani would hold her stomach in abit pain. she also sometimes threw tantrums at everyone even jai but when she came to her sense she would blush and get embarresed. Jai was taking really good care of bani sometimes if she didnt felt better at all he would bunk office to just stay with her. Bani's foot sometimes got sore and back hurting . jigyasa used to malish her back and foot sometimes.but when bani's back hurted at nights jai would turn her the side and slowly rub his palm over her waist. first few times both felt uncomfortable but then after few more times they got used to it.

Bani and jai went to walk together as doctor had advised. in between this phase jai and bani came to know more about each other.and found their likes and dislikes almost same.they for some moments would even forget how they had got married they felt like a normal couple just married having kid for the first time . but still in all these they never ignored tanu she was their first priority and got pampered by everyone. when tanu came to know that her mamma was carrying a baby she had not believed and asked how can a baby sit in that stomach and everyone had laughed.

In all these happy moments they never knew when these 9 months got over and they had wheeled bani in the labour room when her abdomen had started to pain at the middle of night. Jai kept phasing around the corridor of the labour room. and had sighed in relief when he heard a baby's crying voice as soon as the doc had came out he had asked about bani and not about the gender of the kid. the doctor smilling had replied to both questions "your wife is perfectly fine and its a baby boy."

Jai had smiled until you could count his teeth. as soon as jigyasa got this news she had rushed home to bring tanu and see her little brother. when bani was shifted to the other room jai was the first one to rush inside and the first thing he did was kiss bani on both her cheeks murming a "thank you bani.. thanks" bani smiled with happy tears falling. as jai took his son in his arms he too had tears in his eyes. "mamma" came tanu's excited voice as she jumped on her papa wanting to see the baby. jai smiled and bended with the kid so that tanu could see him "here see him. isnt he too tiny beta." said jai. tanu noded and held the baby's tinny fingers.

The doctor came in "so mrs walia you feeling better. i m sure first deliveries are always abit painfull but then its all ok.and with your first born being a baby boy you must be all the more happy." Bani stared at jai then at tanu she said"no doctor my first born is a baby girl.she is the eldest child of the family.my daughter" and she pointed at tanu .Jai felt like he was the luckiest person on the earth right now.bani's this simple sentence had made him so happy. tanu came and hugged bani. as she kept her hands on bani's stomach asking why isnt it all big now.

Next Day bani was discharged and was brought home.massi did arti of both bani and the baby and yah tanu's as well as bani held tanu's hand while in other hand she carried the kid. as soon as they stepped inside the kid started to cry indicating he was hungry. jigyasa told bani to go up in the room and feed the kid while tanu played with jai..

Bani took the kid in the room and layed down on the bed. she had worn sari as it was abit easy to feed the baby she unhooked the blouse and brought the kid close to her bossom. that is when jai came inside the room with bani's bag which she had taken to the hospital. their gaze met and jai hurridly turned as he realised bani was feeding the baby. bani felt the baby stop sucking so she pulled the pallu and sitted up.

Hearing her bangles tinkling jai turned and saw bani playying with the kid. he smiled and sat beside her and took the kid in his arms."iska naam kya rakhenge?" asked bani.jai stopped playing with the kid and turned abit sad "i have a name ready. par tumhe shayad accha na lage." bani stared at him wondering why he said like that"app aisa kyun kehrahe hai." jai sighed and said"me and sonali always wanted two kids one boy and girl and since our first was a baby girl we named her tanisha and we thought next time if its gonna be a baby boy we would name him tanish." Bani smiled and held his arm "iska naam hum tanish hi rakhenge." jai stared at bani as she rested her head on his shoulder.

As the two sat there in silence 'tanish' started to cry once again. Jai wondered why so he placed his palm over his cheeks and when his thumb touched her mouth tanish started to suck on it and jai couldnt help but luagh "here you go bani the kid is hungry" Bani took tanish and layed down , she was still new to feeding so was comfortable with the laying postiion. as she pulled up her pallu she felt jai moving out of the bed. she hurridly caught his hand making him sit back.starring at him she opened the hooks of her blouse and started to feed tanish. her pallu kept falling over her bre*sts and all the time bani had to pull it up. once it fall again this time jai held it till bani finished feeding.

A month passed by like this. they had kept a small name calling ceremony where they had kept the name'tanish' for the kid .bani had also given the kid to tanu much to jai's shock thinking what if he falls but bani assured him as she made tanu sit and then lay the baby in her lap. tanu had clapped and smiled .

after few more days bani went in the pooja room after many days of her pregnancy.lighting a diya infront of sonali's photo she had prayed and promised her to take care of tanu and jai more then her life.

That night tanu had gone to sleep with jigyasa while tanish was sleeping in the babycoat in jai and bani's room.when bani had came out of the bathroom changed inher nightie she sat on her side of bed and kept looking at jai from the corner of her eyes. finally taking a deep breath she asked him "kya mein moti hogayi hu?" jai starlet from this sudden question looked at bani confused noding his head in negative he said"nahi toh." bani turning now to face him asked"kya mein abh khoobsurat nahi hu?" "bani.. yeh kaisa sawal hai."said jai but bani curt him short and repeated her question to which jai replied "bani tum pehle bhi bohot khoobsurat thi aur abh bhi bohot khoobsurta ho."hearing it bani bowed down and ina childlike tone said"toh phir app mujhse pyaar kyun nahi karte.why dont you make love to me. app mujhse itna duur kyu bhagrahe hai." Jai was shocked hearing all this from bani.

"am i that bad.that u got over with me in just once." came bani's sobbing voice.in these nine months she had got everything she wished for but still an emptiness felt inside her as she lacked her husband's physical presence in her.Jai broke into a grin as he spoke in a husky yet firm tone"may be i was waiting for this day"bani lifted her face to emet his gaze' this day' what was special about this day. and she smiled shyly as she knew today she had got a clearance she was no more in the periods.and with this another reality also struck her and that was jai cared for her. he awaited for this day when she is all alright . he didnt made love to her coz at that time she was pregnent and he didnt wanted to hurt her in anyway.

Jai knew she got it right. he had started loving her and didnt wanted to hurt her in any way.he had been waiting for this day where he would ask his bani to accept him as her husband in true sense.and before he could do that bani had started with her silly questions. jai inched closer and hugged bani and this time there was no hesitation the only thing there was is love and passion.

They made love which was feeled with losts of love and passion. the heat and desire which they had held back the first time they made love came out this time with more fierce hunger as the two melted in each other. and become one from heart and soul.for the entire night all bani did was moan jai's name as he touched her soul with his hands and mouth.

Bani had finally been sucesfull in making her place in jai's heart as a wife she didnt took away sonali's place but just made her place beside sonali's in his heart.they never said'i love you' to each other coz they never felt to do so coz both knew from their hearts how much they loved each other. Jai never forgotted sonali she was her first love and wife and she held a special place in his heart.

i m sorry if the ending didnt fit well. personally i didnt like how the ending was written but by then i was running out of time so didnt got chance to re write the whole thing.😕
