i am so sorry for not updating on time, i hated the episodes and the rate of KS the past few days,especially today.....but somehow my good mood today got me to update anyway, hope you like it....and thanks for all the beautiful comments.😳
Chapter 12😉
It was a beautiful day, a Sunday. Bani stirred, she felt so drunk and thirsty. God what was in her throat? Wanting to reach out but couldn't. She tried again; forcing her eyes closed more than it already was. Lifting her hand only to feel a sharp pain pass thorough that she wanted to scream! Oh it hurt!
Bani opened her eyes slightly, at first the light getting to her, she quickly shut them again and than slowly opening them again. What is this room? All the walls were white, a painting of wild horses on one wall running through the trees and the other window but the curtains were slightly drawn. Bani tried focusing where she was, looking at her side, Jai was deep in sleep his arm still in the same position as it had been the previous night. Shifting a little only to realize that her right side was numb and she really couldn't move her right hand or leg. It was too painful.
Jai opened his eyes to find a same pair of inquisite ones starring up at him. Getting up quickly, his right hand numb from being under his heavy weight all night in one position. He was sore all over.
Jai: Bani?
Bani looked at him confused as Jai rang for the doctor. Dr Sweetu entered the room with a nurse on her side.
Sweetu: if you could check her temperature and blood pressure susie and I will check the other things. Looking at Jai, "Mr Walia, you can freshen up in the next room while we check on your wife!"
Bani wanted to get up, she had to go to the wash room so bad. Jai looked from one to the other, Bani hadn't uttered a word yet, nothing at all. God I hope she is alright. Knowing too well not to fuss he made his way out after bending down to kiss her forehead "I will be right back,"
Sweetu checked everything and than "Bani?" can you hear me?
Bani seemed to be in shock when she looked at the doctor. Again Sweetu asked, "can you hear me Bani?"
All Bani could see the huge car in front of her, she had wanted to run but she couldn't, panicking and looking at the oncoming car. Raising her right hand, only to wince in pain and than shouting "Jai!"
Sweetu had to run to her side, "Mrs Walia?" "Bani?" Bani looked at the doctor, "my husband, Jai, is he alright?" panicking, Sweetu sighed in relief, she is good, great! Sweetu laid her back, "I assure you Mrs Walia, everything went great, Mr Walia didn't get in the accident, you did and you seem to have gained consciousness without any effects that we had predicted could have happened. Now I want you to tell me if you feel this. Touching the pen on her feet, "can you feel this?" Bani felt tickles but that's all she felt, "yes doctor I do!" Good! Sweetu wrote some notes.
Jai had come running in after he heard his name, "doctor is everything alright?"
Sweetu tried calming him, "yes Mr Walia, everything seems to be fine and I am glad to say your wife hasn't suffered any signs of amnesia, as we might have feared she might. He nerves wasn't damaged to what we were afraid of and she still feels the touch on her feet, so not so much damage there either. Everything seems to have worked out good. However, once again I have to tell you that you need to be very careful as there are a lot of tissues that need to heal and at this stage because she has lost a lot of blood she is very weak. If things progress you should be able to take her in a week or so! But you have a lot of work to do in taking care of your wife.
Jai heaved a huge sigh walking towards Bani, "Bani?"
Bani looked up at Jai, "Jai" a soft whisper leaving her lips, Bani looked up trying hard to focus, her head hurt like hell. His here which means he still doesn't know anything about their relationship. OH God not again, I couldnt handle this anymore.
Rano came running in as she went past Jai to her sister hugging her crying "OH MY God Bani, are you alright?" "Are you doing good?" "Are you?"
Bani looked at her sister, Rano Di, aur yaha, London se door, yaha? "Didi weakly she managed, aap yaha?"
Rano: yeah ofcoz, hugging her, oh I am sorry realizing she was holding on too tight, Jai stood there numb feeling stupid to say anything. He was feeling so left out, as if he was in some strangers room.
BAni looked at her sister tears falling on her cheeks, "didi?" than looking around, "saab dhek rahe hai!" Rano looked at her baby sister and kissed her forehead, "puff everyone here I am worried about my babies and they can think and look all they want." Rano turned to Jai, "tum?" "tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?" getting up
The nurse had to shush them down, "please there are other patients and Mrs Walia needs to rest as well." Making sure that all left including Rano. Rano was mad being shoved out like that, 'but she is my sister," the nurse looked helplessly, "I understand mam but please try and see my point of view, she is still very critical and needs to be under observation." "Tommorrow we will move her to the main wing and she is open to all visitors, right now only her husband is allowed! With that she shut the door and left it at that.
Sahil had approached them by now: "how is bhabi?" Rano looked at him, anger spiking within her, "what do you care?" "why don't you ask that brother of yours" Sahil had tried the previous night to talk reason to her, but with no luck. She wasn't willing to listen at all. She had thrown her out of their childs room without listening to anything he had to say. Not even an apology.
Sahil: Rano meri baath to suno? frustrated Sahil tried again!
Rano looked at him angry, she hated him more than anything, more than life itself, she couldn't stand the sight of him not because of the hatred but because everytime he came in front of her she had started to wish things would have been different, she starts to get doubts about her decisions, she starts to hate herself for keeping her child in such suffering and away from his father, as she knew that he could have helped with his treatment long time ago. She hated herself for that and the irrational decision she had made. But he hadn't come looking for her either, God knows how much she had waited those long lonely nights.
Sahil was past being nice at this point. Fine he was a caniving bas***d who did things for his own selfish reason, but god dammed he was trying to make amends and with the way Rano was reacting, she wasn't even giving him a chance to explain. How much he also suffered without her, how he was helpless and couldn't do anything, how he was stuck on his way to recovery, she needs to understanding all that, if incase anything else.
Rano turning to Sahil: listen to me Sahil and listen to me good, me and you are done, finished nada, do you understand that. We are done. So leave me and my baby alone. We survived without you and we will keep on going on. I don't need your help or anyone elses for that matter.
Sahil looked at the adamant head and knew that nothing was going to work with Rano right now and time, he didn't want to give her time. Time was all he had lost and he wanted to make up for it. He wanted to know his son, wanted to be with him and if he is the last weapon to used to keep his wife with him, so be it.
Rano turned to leave. Sahil held her arm and with a note of seriousness in his voice, "not so simple Mrs Sahil Walia"
Rano turned shocked.

Bani tried getting up. "take it easy Mrs Walia," "Mr WAlia looking at Jai can you please assisit your wife." "we need to bathe her and than change her dressings."
Bani looked from one to the other, "was the nurse mad" "Jai and change her, that would be too uncomfortable for her, God no." Jai stood looking at her nurse and than at Bani, "kya karu?" "she is your wife Jai, " his brains kept yelling at himm "you can do this, you need to do this;" "how else are you going to take care of Bani when she comes home with you?" "will she go home with you?"
the nurse looked up, "Mr Walia?" "Please hold her left hand while I take this off?" Bani looked at the nurse, "can't I?" The nurse quickly bending forward, "Mrs Walia, please be careful, your wounds are very fresh?" Jai quickly getting Bani's hand, "yes Bani you need to be careful, let me?"
Without waiting for Bani, Jai helped the nurse get her out of the current top she was wearing, taking the warm cloth and squeezing the water off and than sponging her body, cleaning it as soflty as he could.
The nurse in the meantime made sure her pressure was normal and applied the cream to her bruises. Making sure she got every part, moving to her lower body. Bani watched astonished at Jai and the way he was concentrating bathing her without looking at her at all, he seemed very serious and not a hint of emotion on his face.
Maybe he felt pity or was it sadness, she didn't know but something was there. As his hands started to move the sheet away Bani held his hand and Jai stared up into her eyes, looking at the depths in them. She had gone so pale and looked so weak but those eyes, you could stare at them forever.
The nurse looked up smiling, "was there something you wanted Mrs Walia?" I could get another nurse if you want?" Jai looked at Bani and than the nurse, "its alright Susie," turning to Bani, "whats wrong Bani?"
Bani hesitated for a moment and than looking at the nurse, "I need to?" turning to Jai and than looking at the nurse, oh God this was so uncomfortable, "I need to use the washroom, please?" Jai without hesitating put her shirt back on with the help of the nurse and picking her up, "you cant put any weight on the right leg Bani?" Before Bani could question or say anything, Jai was already leading her to the bathroom next to her room. Bani looked at him inside, "do you mind?" Jai looked at her holding her, how will she manage? "I will turn my back and close my eyes Bani:" "please use my hand for assistance, pushing his hand towards her. Bani looked at him and than thinking, "nahi you can wait outside, if it helps leave the door open." Without arguing Jai left to wait!
Minutes later Jai carried Bani back, she looked so weak, placing her in the bed and the nurse finished up while Jai looked outside the window. All this while, Bani looked at him, something was so very different, but what, could he remember everything, but if he did that he wouldn't be here right? What was it?
The nurse smiling, 'there you go Mrs Walia, all done!" "you are so lucky to have a husband as Mr WAlia who has been here all thorough out with you," "even helping me caring for you," "usually husbands leave all to the nurses." With that the nurse gave Bani her injection, and left.
Going up to Jai, "thanks Mr Walia , she should be out in a few seconds, thank you for your help, she is a lucky woman."
Jai smiled back at the nurse heading back to where Bani was. Starring down at her as she starred back, in his mind "what do I say to you Bani?" "a sorry is just not enough?" Bani starred back her vision and mind blurring yet her mind in confusion, "why are you here Jai, and if you are, what will happen when you find out that instead of being my husband you actually hate me, what will happen than?" Jai looked at her as he pulled the blanket up, making her all cozy. "sleep BAni, you need to rest!" with that slowly Bani was out!

Rano: what do you mean?
Sahil: that you are my wife, hands in pockets with a very serious and mean look, and Varun my son, If you willingly dont come with me as my wife and mother of my child, I will take you to court and get my son. And you damned well know I can and will do it. You not only neglected my son's health and deprived him of the treatment he could have relieved but you also kept a father in the dark about the existence of his own son.
Sahil hated what he was doing, but to get his son and Rano back in his life, he was going to take every means to get it.
Rano looked shocked at Sahil and that he could say all that. "you don't meant that?" "I love my baby, I did everything I could?"
Sahil: "OUR baby Rano?" and yes you did but only to hide the fact from me. If you had thought first of him, you would have come for help to me for his treatment and he wouldn't have suffered as much. Plus, you never took care of your pregnancy and that is why? leaving it at that for her to figure the rest out!
Rano: oh stop, hands flying to her ears, "that is not true." "please stop stop stop!"
Sahil: well prove it, either fight with me in court and loose everything you have remaining, or be smart and return back with me. THE DECISION IS YOURS!
Rano: you hardly leave me any choices Sahil!
Sahil smiling now, he knew he was succeeding and this is what he wanted. He needed to prove to her that he was not an ass she thought of him!
Sahil: you have five minutes, looking at his watch and not blinking an eye. And NO you dont have any choices.
Rano: I hate you Sahil, Rano whispered defeated.
Sahil: there is nothing new there Rano, you have made very sure of that ever since yesterday, my ultimatum still exists. 2 minutes! Looking at her.
Rano: but how can you expect me to be with you after…..pausing
Sahil: well maybe not be a wife, but at least be my wife for the sake of our child. I am not having my child deprived of what all he can have just because the mother has a high ego.
Rano: I
Sahil: 30 seconds Rano!
Rano: fine fine fine, I will do it, but always remember I will never love you ever again!
Sahil smiling as he looked at her: and I will not stop loving you, and make sure to keep on loving until you love me back!
Rano: never Sahil. raging with maddness
Sahil: we will see about that leaving her! Pack your things, we will leave for India as soon as Bhabi gets the green light.
Rano: where are you going? Shouting at his leaving frame
Sahil: going to see my baby, stopping, turning "I am sorry, our baby!"
Rano wanted to scream, the nerve of the man! Sahil stopped turning to walk back only standing inches away from Rano, his face bending forward, "one more thing?" "bhaia and bhabi?, don't interfere with their life, leave them to it, let them find each other, and sort their differences on their own."
Whispering on her face which wasn't doing good things for Rano. Please go away she prayed.
Sahil: I want things to work out between bhaia and bhabi so please leave her to her own decisions okay!
Rano: thanks to you she would never be in this situation or condition!
Sahil: looked at her, yes Rano thanks to me, it didnt matter to him now because he was going to take every means to make this okay, "and that is the exact reason I want to help fix it. So please!"
Rano: I will not let my sister suffer another of your Walia attacks.
Sahil smiled: oh yes you will, if not remember my ultimatum, I can and will take Varun and you will have nothing and I mean it.
Bending down starring at her lips and than to kiss Rano, catching her off guard as he gave her a light leading into a passionate kiss, enclosing the gap between them by bringing her close to him. Sahil smiled within, how little she knows herself he thought, the spark was still there!~
Rano stood there with her hand on her lips to shocked to react in anyway as a confident and happy Sahil left to see their baby!
Jai looked at the sleeping form of the woman he hurt in so many ways, "I am going to take you home Bani," "I am going to prove to you that I am a good man," "that I am a good human being and I am going to make up for all those times" "Even after all I do, you want to leave me, I will make sure nothing come in your way for happiness," " I will let you go."
Sahil coming in to assure his brother: "No bhaia, she won't leave you, not after how much she knows you love her." "That I promise you!" "I brought you together, I caused the pain, I will help to heal it bhaia, no matter what," "I promise," Hugging his brother! "I promise you bhaia!"
