But hey, we just want a masterpiece, so no pressure, alright?

Of course there are only 6 Austen's all of which i finished re-reading more than a decade ago!
And i already know the end of "The Reluctant Widow." Finished it a while back.😭
Am now on re-re-re-re read trip! Unless i can find more Mary Stewarts, my last unconquered citadel.....
Thanks for lack of pressure.
Masterpiece?
Help!!! The pressure mounts to new heights!

Artists and painters need light. Lots of it. Unobstructed light. Or she is claustrophobic.
Hope that helps.

Am in a rush, this in a pretty involved section,I think....will reread later and will be back with further comments.

Thanks 😊

WOW...Armana!

As much as I would like to say what thought abourt the part is the less I can find any word to describe what you have written. It's absolutely beautiful and heartmelting, the way you portrayed Bani's character as well as Jai's and their relationship. 👏 👏 👏

I havent finished yet reading "The Reluctant Widow" but very close to it... But I can essure you that, I had a wonderful time reading your update and enjoyed every part of it.

Thank you soo much for taking your time to produce a mstermind piece of work like this. 😃

I cant wait to read the next chapter, and hope you update very soon,,,!

Armana darling,

Loved it as laways dear, so instead of using all the adjectives that I have already used for you I get straight to 👏

Aww.....so KD left her daughter a letter for her daughter on the bequest of their trust fund. A lovely letter and much much better then what the drama KD could ever write for sure.😉😆

Hummm.......cant wait for our Jai to put 2 and 2 together and realize that his Bani is his angel, the Sarswati, whose painting he owns , the woman who he met 7 years ago.😆

So you have read all the Austens and Georgette Heyer's. Love them a lot, and both are my favourite authors too.😃 Love the classic and am love rereading them too.😃

Till the next part dear.😉

Love

Krishna

Good part Armana. Loved it but how can we say that Bani does not about Jai. He is a well known businesssman and if I correctly remember then she identified Jai in one go, on that plane. It can be that she is unaware of his personal side, if that is what you are referring to . It is Jai who is all smitten by Bani without any knowledge about her apart from, that she illustrate children's book. He knows nothing about her, nothing at all but just that she inherited that FH from her mother.Kindly clarify.

The best part about your FF is the depth of your detail. It just makes me feel like everything is happening right in front of me. The first time I got this feeling was with Austen's P&P particularly in the part where Lizzy visits Pemberley. The way she described the beauty of that place was amazing and your FF gave me the same feeling.

That was a good one (in fact a very good one ) armana. Your Bani reminds me of Tolstoy's Anna Kerenina. Though they are very different characters in a very different setting, they still chose love beyond everything. The society might scorn her for her affair, but I truly believe that she deserves the love she is seeking.
I had these wonderful discussions with my brother (his all time fav book is Anna Kerenina). I was surprised when he argued that Anna was epitome of love and womanhood. But, as a woman, I could never relate to Anna. All said, she still committed adultery, which thankfully, ur Bani has not. I am actually surprised that there was no child here.

Unlike my previous post, here, I'm falling in love with ur Bani. Just a matter of time before JW does too.
Brilliant !!!!

Society puzzles me. What is wrong in a single woman and a single man engaging in a relationship?
As for Anna K, well, one of the few Tolstoy or russian (come to think of it) novels i can tolerate. I'd have to agree with your brother, epitome of love and a woman in love's fate. (For a more detailed view you ought to speak to Rupy who actually enjoys reading Russian Novelists. I prefer the Poets.)
Adultery: again our responses to it are conditioned by societal norms and taboos. But love and life are above and beyond norms. At the same time, love and life are also not free. You have to pay for every thing, including love and happiness. As Anna did. I think the point such literature makes is not whether adultery is to be condoned or not, but whether those who pay the price think it worthwhile or not.
I would recommend: "The English Patient," by Michael Oondatjee or if you prefer something lighter, "The Bridges of Madison County," by Robert James Waller.
As for Bani and child: m'dear, it's after AIDS and the 90's. Anyone who goes to bed- with a stranger or a lover (unless both have discussed it, proved that their medical history is clean and committed to monogamy or unless they are living in kektaland) -without using a condom is an IDIOT.
I am very glad to hear that you are beginning to like this Bani.

Love

I'm an avid reader like you are. Slowed down a lil bit after my kid came into picture.

In fact I read both the books. Loved English Patient. Talking about "The Bridges of Madison County," I have my reservations with the protogonist's actions.

Coming back to ur ff, I agree. There is nothing wrong about a man and a woman having a realationsship. Here, since neither of them are married, thier case is much simpler. But, this JW is a cynical man who thinks "love is the grandest illusion of all". Bani should make him think otherwise.

She should make make him feel that ...

Love is intriguing …. Intangible, yet real.

Feel it ….

Sense it …. Thrill it.

Ciao

What quaint vistas you have presented us with and with such literary elegance.

Shes in love with the memory of the man who initiated her metamorphosis into the woman she is now & he is bewitched by that woman. The man she is venturing into a "liaison" with, is a "stranger " who has mislaid the memory of their past somewhere in the recesses of his mind. Curious to read about the progression of this journey of impetuous genesis.

Thanks

p.s.1:This Mrs. D profundity is more palatable than her reel namesake & she is quite an individual in her own right

p.s.2:Love the room with the view

aahhaa... so you love the "TEP?" excellent!
as for "The bridges..." loved it when i was in school. somehow, it does not weave the same magic any more for me.
maybe it was that rambling discussion on the "fourth dimension" that ruined it for me. remembe rskipping it when i first read it!
what about "Posession" by A.S. Byatt?
what an incredible love story and how very seductively told!
and somehow the affair is jsut so very right.....and the heartbreak so poignant that i cry everytime i read it.
