Here is the next part. i made it extra long. Hope you like it.

Tarun: Who told you that?
Jai: What?!
Tarun: See Jai, you fell short once again… you said you would always trust her after the last mistake you made… then how could you think she would betray you? Do you really think she would be able to throw everything she had with you? Do you really think she could love anyone but you even though you are the biggest idiot she could possibly end up with?
Jai: But… but… what about everything with you and her being married…
Tarun: It was all a set up. My mother is sick and you know Bani, always doing things to for others. Doing what will make others happy rather then thinking about herself. TO make it seem real, she had to get a divorce from you. I remember the night when she went over to your house and when she came back home her face was completely white. She said just one line to me and locked herself into her room for the night. You know what she said to me?
Jai: What?
Tarun: 'My soul died the day I left Mr. Walia's house and now it is officially over too. Here is my life Tarun there is nothing else left in it except his aamanat- Riya.'
Jai: But… oh my God! She still loves me! So… is she still mine?
Tarun: Well, I do not know about that. She got a divorce from you because we needed it for our marriage… but since we never got married I have no idea if she turned it in or not…
Jai: Oh my god, what am I supposed to do?
Tarun: Go ask her, make her yours again.
Jai: I cant. I am so lost. Should I go ask her and hope that she still loves me and take her with me or should I not…
Tarun: Why wouldn't you?
Jai: Because I lost her once and it was my fault but at this point I cant take her back. You are my best friend and I wont let you down. I don't even know if Bani got a divorce or not but there is no way that I am risking your mom's life.
Tarun: You don't have to worry about her! She will be fine. I will tell her the truth tonight.
Jai: No you will do no such thing. Let me talk to Bani first. She probably doesn't even love me anymore.
With that Jai walked away towards Bani to ask the most important question of his life.
Bani was standing in the balcony. Riya had been brought home and was sleeping. Bani stood there looking out remembering the time when she had told Mr. Walia about their daughter and the happiness she had felt at that time.
Jai: Bani
Bani: Not today Mr. Walia. Its been a long day and I am not too keen on the idea of talking to you… I am tired, mentally and physically.
Jai: Ok Bani, just answer one question and I will leave you alone. Three years ago…
Bani: Mr. Walia, there is no use looking back… forget about what happened and move on.
Jai: You know its not easy to move on.
Bani: I have moved on
Jai: Have you really moved on?
Bani: I am married, what else does it mean?
Jai: No you are not.
Bani: What?
Jai: Tarun told me the truth about your "marriage."
Bani: He did what? He has no right to tell you! If we both agreed on this idea then we should both be telling you rather then him alone!
Jai: Is that your primary concern here? Tarun really loves you and he was trying to do you a favor by not making you go through pain that is visible in your eyes!
Bani: Just ask your question and get it over with!
Jai: Bani, you got my signatures on the divorce papers but did you ever turn them in and go through the process?
Bani: I do not have to answer any of your questions!
Jai: Yah you do…
Bani tries to walk away but Jai grabs her hands and twirls her around pushing her slightly to the wall.
Jai: Bani look at me in the eyes and tell me the truth…
Bani: Mr. Walia, do you even deserve to know the truth?
Jai: Yes I do. I have regretted what I did in the past but I have paid my dues for it! I have not been able to be with my daughter… I have not been able to see the love of my life for so long. I have not been able to fully live life because a part of me was missing. Do you still think I don't deserve to know the truth that my entire life depends on?
Bani: Fine! I didn't turn it in okay?!
Jai: Then where is it?
Bani: Its with the lawyer?
Jai: Who is the lawyer?
Bani: Me.
Jai: When did you become a lawyer?
Bani: Long story.
Jai: I have all night.
Bani: No you don't. I have to go to Tarun's room, its night time and Mom would wonder why I am here with a stranger at this time at night.
Jai: I am letting you go now Bani but be careful, I plan on having you back sooner or later.
Bani: There a really slim chance of that happening… there are only two important things that are left in my life- Riya and Mom. No one else.
Jai: I am on that list Bani you just don't know it yet. Be ready tomorrow night, we are going for dinner.
Bani: Mr. Walia, you know that is absurd right?
Jai: First, I want you to call me Jai.
Bani: Why?
Jai: Because now according to you we have no real relationship so lets start out with being friends. Hi, My name is Jai, Jai Walia. And you are?
Bani: This is really stupid.
Jai: Come on, I am not asking you to get together with me again … at least not for now… lets be friends.
Bani: It's hard being your friend… Hi, my name is Bani.
Jai: Just Bani? No last name?
Bani: Very clever. Now get out before Mom comes. You are talking to someone else's wife.
Jai: Oh I am so sorry. Bye Bani.
Bani: Bye Mr.… Bye Jai.
With that he was gone … well for the night at least. After a long time Bani felt happy… even though she still did not trust him but their relationship wasn't awkward anymore. She kissed Riya good night and went into Tarun's room. As usual, Tarun was sleeping on the couch and Bani quietly went to her own bed.
Tarun: How was it Bani?
Bani knew what he was referring to without him asking. But she felt comfortable telling him things.
Bani: It could have been worse but luckily it wasn't so. I don't know what to do Tarun! He irritates me, he makes me mad, he makes me sad but somehow just having him there makes the entire world seem …. Better… happier… when he is around I feel that everything will be okay and when he is gone I feel lost and hurt… and even though I know it will hurt more at the end to have him here again, a part of me desires his presence.
Tarun: Bani, you are falling in love with him again……
Bani: I never fell out of love to fall in love again… I have always loved him but it was he who doubted my feelings.
Tarun: Well do you want to be with him again?
Bani: I know I do but I don't think I can trust him!
Tarun: Why don't you let him suffer a bit, make him prove the fact that he is able to be trusted again. Do "tests" on him to see if he is worth your love this time around. And if he is then I don't see why you shouldn't be with him again. You told me yourself that the doctor lied to him so it wasn't just his fault… you can give him some slack…
Bani: Okay, if I give him one more chance and he breaks my heart again, I don't think I will survive.
Tarun: Well then give it slowly… don't give it all at once. Let him take you to dinner, and flatter you… include him in your daughter's life and maybe after some time passes and you see that he is here to stay and that he is trustworthy then maybe you can extend your relationship…
Bani: Thanks Tarun… I don't know what I would do without you around to deal with my breakdowns.
Tarun: What are friends for Bani? Now go to sleep.
Bani: Good night.
The next day the first thing that Tarun did after getting up was give Jai a piece of his mind.
Tarun: Jai, I know you are shocked to see me here but left me talk and finish and then you can ask me things. One simple thing: don't lose this chance. If you screw up this chance that you have been give with Bani then I swear I will come after you for breaking her heart again. You have been given what is hard for people to find- a true love… and last time you messed up but I don't expect that again! She really loved you and even though she is a strong woman now, she is not strong enough for his heartache. You do anything to hurt her, you will have to deal with me. Get it?
Jai: How much do you love her?
Tarun: Not enough because she still loves you. But this isn't about my love for her it is for her love for you and your love for her. I have loved her and enjoyed her company if not companionship for the last three years…and I always knew she would nenver be fully mine because she never stopped being yours.
Jai: Tarun, I don't know how to thank you for taking care of her for the past three years.
Tarun: She took care of herself- she is strong. But if you want to thank me then keep her happy.
Jai: Yaar, I have missed you.
Tarun: You have no idea!
Jai and Tarun hug. Finally things seem to be going in the right direction.
