Bani kept tossing and turning all night...she couldnt sleep..his words and what he said to Masi kept going over and over in her head

Yeah kya horaha hai mere saath....it was around 4am Sunday ...aaj toh college bhi nahi hai...kya karu......the thought that what is it that he wants as a gift eating her up inside....everytime the thought comes she gets up thinking kya ho sakta hai.....

Jai on the other side was so happy....so happy that he couldnt sleep ...tossing and turning and changing positions...the comforter pillows and the bed sheets of the huge king bed all crumpled up here and there....getting up sitting in the middle of his huge bed he ruffled his hair...oh boy does it feel good to be in love....never in his 29 years has he felt this...never.....he was happy smiling ....day dreaming ...songs had more meaning to them and most of all life felt so much better to live for......he didnt know what BAni felt but he was sure that she felt something for him too...she was young ...rubbing his neck ..yeh she was young 10 years younger but what has love got to do with age...its the heart that matters......she was naive...beautiful ...everything.....ohhhhh sleeping on his tummy his head deep in the pillows...turning side ways he saw the time 3.30am....dammit this has got to stop orelse mai kuch nahi kar pauga......maybe i should talk to Masi...nahi nahi...agar masi ko pata chala toh sara ghar jaanjayega....maybe may champs se help leta hu...yeah that sounds like a good idea....
looking at the wall on whose side was Bani he felt like tearing it apart.....Bani on the other side lookng his way thinking...meri neend lekar khud soraha ...hmmmm khadoos....!!!! turning she tried to sleep again....
It was still raining outside....the whole Mumbai was feeling the rain but for Bani it always meant things were to happen....either good or bad.......whenever it rained something always has happened in her life....it was merely a rainy day that brought her here in the first place.....brought this stranger in her life....who know had captured a place in her life somewhere......

Sunday morning everyone was at the breakfast table but Bani..Jai dragging his eating looking at the stairs waiting for her to come down

Jai very casually asking: Masi aur saab log kaha hai??
Rano: if u mean di than she has gone to her friends house...her mum had a mild attack last night and early mrng Di ko call ki...bhouth hi pareshan thi isiliye Di uske paas gayi hai.....
Jai: with a sad face...ohh!!!!!
Masi: ha beta maine kaha ke jasakti hai...bhouth hi pareshan thi Raashi ke liye isiliye
JAi: oh Raashi i know her...achi ladki hai.....champ chalogi mere saath uske maa ko dhekne....
Rano: sorry buddy i have a short test tomrw and have to study for that......but dont worry Di raath tak ajayegi...

For jai the house without Bani was biting him....pacing his study : jana zaruri tha...breakfast par milkar jati...sham hogai hai...aur aneke koi khabar nahi......
It ws around 11pm when Bani returned at the house....she was exhausted coz Raashi was a mess....she had a huge fight with her boyfriend and than her mums heart attack.....to add on things BAni didnt sleep well last night.......getting upstairs on the hallway to her room she lazily walked when out of the blue a huge figure loomed infront of her.....gasping loudly she almost shouted when

Jai: sshhhhshhh meh hu
Bani: putting hands to her chest ....aap..??? meh toh dar gai thi......heaving a huge sigh
Jai: RAashi kaise hai
Bani: looking up ....theek hai...dari hui hai par aab so rahi hai...
Jai: tumne kuch khaya???
Bani: nahi ...looking down and than at her door....woh maine socha thori se fresh hojao taabhi....
Jai; theek hai tum fresh hojao meh khana garam karta hu
Bani: feeling really embarassed....aap garam karenge.....looking at his chest...meh karlugi ...really....
Jai: smiling ...its no problem .....going down the stairs......

As Jai decended the stairs Masi was just entering her room when she saw him make way to the kitchen...taking out the food from the freezer and warming it...smiling she went to bed...she was hapy...lagta hai mujhe mere bahu milgai.....kisi aur jaga dhoond ne ki zarurat nahi.....

Bani took a nice warm shower and heaed back downstairs...Khadoos kitne sweet hai she thought ...smiling

Bani all shy coming to the table: thanks.....slowly taking the food out as she sat to eat...it was really difficult for her to eat infront of strangers ever since she was a little girl but well he wasnt as strange anymore.....

Jai: so i thought of what i would love for my birthday from you.....
Bani: jee....drinking her water....she wsnt able to swollow after he said that....the water helped....
Jai: Masi ne kaha ke tumne kabhi sari nahi pheni...
Bani : looked up at him....and than down..: woh mujhe nahi phena ata hai aur phir kabhi koi moka nahi mila toh.....
Jai: kya mere janamdin par mere liye pheno gi???
Bani looked up at him...for the first time she just kept looking...why does he want me to wear a sari..???? : magar...
Jai: his both hands on his table looking at him..: please mujhe bhouth hi acha lage ga
Bani: magar looking sideways....magar mere pass koi sari bhi nahi hai....
Jai: smiling wicked.....taking a gift bag from his side putting it on the table...problem soved....
Bani looked at him and than at the gift bag...a nervous wreck...a bit panicky: magar maine kabhi ..aur phir woh....

Jai: putting his hand on hers...mere liye bhi nahi.....its a special day for me....looking like a little baby

Bani: looking down...meh...woh...smiling koshish karugi

Jai: ek aur cheez bhi hai...magar janamdin par hi kahuga!!! with that Jai smiling and getting up to put everything away.....the gift bag still on the table..it was huge ...Bani thought na jane kaise sari hogi...aur color.....Jai started to do the dishes when Bani insisted she do it...so Jai: acha u wash i will dry them....

It was so difficult for Bani to do the dishes with Jai breathing down her neck and once or twice their hands would entangle or touch making both aware of each other.....

Jai: thinking to himself ...this feels so good...so home...so beautiful....comfortable
Bani: done with the dishes.....wiping her hands and than giving it to him....
Jai: im good...
BAni smiling ...taking her gift bag shyly: thank you....

BAni: jee??
Jai: mere naam Jai hai Bani
BAni: Jee...not realy saying it....but smiling and blushing....
Jai walked up with her and upto her door......: i hope u sleep well and rest ....getting ready to move when he turned
Jai: Bani?????

Bani looking up but before she could really move her head Jai bent down and very lightly kissed her cheek....: gdnight Bani..i hope u like it because i know u will look very beautiful in it...
With that Jai left and click door shut...bAni was rooted at the same spot...her giftbag fell to the floor and her hand to her cheek.....she was red.....very red....blushing as if the walls the stairway the quiet night had witnessed that kiss.....every single touch feel was important to BAni...no man let alone anyone had ever ...ever touched Bani in that way......

Jai went in and popping his head out to see Bani: ummm
BAni..tum undar ja sakti ho..smiling ....
Bani turning a shade of deep pink...looking at him and than quickly getting the bag and running in the room...: hey Ram... wo bhi hogeya....not believing it.....it took some good 10 minutes to calm herself out of it.....Jai in the other room laughing and heading to bed....

taking the sari out..it was the same pink one that the lady had shown her and the one whom she loved...it was beautiful...inside were matching a pair of bangles....and a necklace case ...bAn i opened it to find a exquisite piece of necklace and earrings with a tine note attached to the top par t of the case

Bani her hands savouring the touch on the sari...the material soft the colour beautiful....laying it on the bed she laid her head over it....closing her eyes ....seeing his playful smile ...breathing his smell.....
