Part-VIII
Bani cannot get the picture of Jai and Pia embracing each other from her mind. Those flashes plus the flashes of their first kiss, their day out together, Jai's proposal for marriage, the engagement kiss all seemed to her that fate had once again slapped her happiness and was laughing at her plight.
For Bani this was enough. She will not tolerate any of this. She types her resignation, prints and signs and dates it. She then goes and straight to Jai's cabin where he and Pia are discussing something. She barges in and walks straight up to Jai.
Jai is stunned to see Bani. He sees Bani and only sees pure hatred and venom for him. He has never seen her like this. Jai tries to say something but Bani raises her hand and Jai does not say anything.
Bani looks at Pia and Pia is about to say something when Bani jumps on her and catches her by the collar of her coat and tells her that she wants to talk to her future husband alone.
She tells Pia she has two choices one is to walk quietly and live another day or the second one which she prefers is that she throws Pia out of this window which is the 25th floor of this building.
Pia is like yeah right.
But she sees Bani and decides to leave because this woman can do anything.
Pia gets up and gathers her stuff and runs like a scared mice.
Bani then turns her attention on Jai and throws her resignation on his face. Jai is what is this? Bani is you know how to read I presume so why don't you see for yourself.
Jai is stunned to see Bani's resignation letter and tells her this is unacceptable. She cannot resign like this. Jai tells Bani is jumping to conclusions and she is being unreasonable.
Bani gives a look to Jai that sends chills down his spine and Bani tells him that she knows what she is doing unlike him she does not go about hurting other people's sentiments. He did not tell that girl to stop when she was insulting me.
She accuses Jai of just standing and listening like a fool. She also tells him to be present at home as she has called his family and she wants to talk to them about something.
Before Jai can reason with her Bani storms out of the office. Pia has listened to the entire conversation and she is delighted at the rift. Her plan has worked to so well. After all know one can ever beat Pia, she says to herself. I am the best.
Jai is devastated and cannot believe this has happened. He is like Bani I am not letting you go so easy. Just as he is in Bani's thought someone walks into the room Jai sees it is Pia. Pia like what happened? She consoles Jai and tells him that not to worry as girls like Bani just do not know how to love.
Jai does not refute her but walks away.
Bani goes to meet Rohan Khera at a restaurant and he is not alone. He is sitting with another girl. And Bani is wondering who is she?
Rohan sees Bani and decides to welcome her. There is a awkward silence between the two of them. Bani does not say anything.
Rohan tells her that he called her to aplogize for what he had done to her. He is getting married in a couple of months time and wanted to apologize to her before he stepped into his new life.
He tells Bani he has never been able to forgive himself for the way he treated Bani. He understood that once she left his life.
He futher tells her that he will bear any punishment which she deems fit but in the hope that one day she will be able to forgive him.
Bani is stunned to hear Rohan all emotional. She looks confused and cannot believe he is the same person who was ruthless to her.
Rohan tells her that he is getting married to Rano, Pia's sister in a few months time. He tells her that he has not hidden anything from Rano and it was her idea that I speak to you and get my closure before I stepped into a martial bond with her.
He tells Bani if she ever needs any help he will be always there for her as a friend.
Bani looks at both of them. Bani is like she is happy for both of them. Bani wishes them a great married life ahead. She tells Rohan she does need his help and tells her what she needs for him to do.
Rohan and Rano cannot believe what Bani is asking them to do. But Rano tells Bani not to worry as they are with Bani all the way. She thanks them and calls to someone to tells that she is set and the next part is in full motion.
Jai is waiting for Bani at the Walia House and so is the entire family. Bani walks in and tells Jai that she is breaking their engagement as she cannot be married to a man who does not care about her and above all does not love her.
She tells him that her biggest regret was the day she met Jai Walia. She takes out her engagement ring and throws on Jai's face and walks away but suddenly turns back and slaps Jai and tells him to go to hell.
She apologizes to the Walia family and walks away leaving the entire Walia family and Jai completely stunned.
Just then Roshni walks in the Walia house and Jai is pissed at her. She is like congrats on your wedding or should I say would be wedding.
Jai tells her to leave before he kicks her out. Roshni smiles and walks away. She tells Jai that he can never handle women properly because he is not man enough to do so.
Jai is furious and goes and slaps Roshni and Roshni like yeah that is what you can do? Not man enough to handle the truth!!!!
This leaves Jai stunned and numb to the core. And Pia is watching all this as she had come to discuss some important business with Jai. She is like finally Jai Walia is mine. She had no idea that she was in for a eye opener.
