They could have stayed like that forever…

Jai's laptop called out……(u have a msg!!)

Bani was the first to come to her senses..

She started to get up,which wasn't an easy task…slipping twice …

""oh….gosh…im sorry…,,I mean thnx ..for the dog…I mean cushion …I mean breaking my fall…"Bani was breathless and it wasn't the fall that had done it…no…it was the man who looked like a million bucks even in the position he was in…

Bani quickly scrambled out of the fountain , clothes plastered to her body and her wet hair sticking to her face and neck

B: here let me help u up!" she extended her hand

Jai ,who had just been staring after her completely fascinated,gave one look at her small hand,then up at her face

Without taking her hand ,he pushed himself up and walked out of the basin..

Shaking his head to clear some water,he slicked his hair bac(imagine that!!)😳

Bani stared at him for another second…then discovered to her horror ,that her nervous response was about to surface….

She turned and ran…

D: are yeh kahan gayi?? And wat happened to u…|???

J: who was that?

D: her name is bani,but y ru soaking wet,wat happened?

J :fell in the fountain..

D: kya?!! Kaise..

J: she pushed me…

D: bani pushed u??!1 but she is such a sweet girl…and ur way bigger then her….did u say something to her?

U must have upset her!!

Jai looked incredulous "upset her??!! I didn't even know she was there until it was too late!"

Dadi hid her smile..

The sight of her tall,well built,grown up grandson, soaking wet and spluttering was not something she saw often…

D: accha baba,,jao change karlo..u'll get sick..

Jai stalked off..

Next day.. Dadi and jai meet with the hospital admin to discuss the new trauma wing…..as they walked thru the hospital and its surrounding grounds jai noticed the hospital seemed pretty much in shape..

'Are ..bani" dadi exclaimed

Jai spun around… he saw her too..she was walking towards the hospital building. As he watched she went inside...he looked towards dadi..she just smiled and raised her eyebrows..

D: wat is it?

J: nothing..he muttered ,furious to have been caught …..

All of a sudden jai was impatient to get inside again…

Even as he was wondering how he could suggest they all go inside without arousing dadi's suspicion,,,a voice in his head said" careful jai…"

Just when he had almost gave up on subtlety,he saw her walk out …this time there was a guy with her…

Eyes narrowed, jai watched them…the guy was wearing a doctors coat…so mayb he was just her physician…

But then y was she smiling at him….?? And were doctors supposed to stand so close to their patients?

" wait a min!!! y do I even care??!!!!" the scowl on his face deepened..

Without realizing that he was giving dadi a very clear view to his inner feelings, they walked over to them

D: bani,, beta kaisi ho??

Bani spun around at dadi's voice and was happy to c her

B: are aunty ji…ap yahan kaise…?

Dadi told her all about the extension plans, bani was very happy to hear about that,,even as they chatted bani saw him…

He stood slightly away from them..his eyes on her face….

Bani stuttered…:who…aunti ji…main pushkar..mere matlab yeh pushkar hai…mera…I…..i mean,,he is doctor here

Dadi and pushkar talked about the hospital and stuff …Pushkar shook hands with jai

D: this is my grandson,jai..

Push; oh of course…who hasnt heard of u Mr Walia…it's a great thing ur doin here.."

Bani just stood frozen by Pushkar's side………

"breath bani breath..he is just a guy..ok…a very good looking guy…but if u don't breath..ur gonna hypoventilate at his feet…not the impression u want, is it?…spec after the last time we met" bani thought to herself…

Dadi and push both looked at her" sorry..did u say something"..push asked her…

Bani frantically shook her head.." no no…nothing'…

"drat I did it again ..wonder how much he heard"

She peeked at him from the corner of her eyes, slightly turning her head .

.he was completely ignoring her!!!!!

"huh??!who does he think he is..standing there like we all don't exist(don't u mean ,like u don't exist, bani's head asked….'oh shut up' bani threatened the voice in her head…

B: aunti ji ,I have to leave now..im late…

Push: wait I'll walk u…

J: we can drop u if u want…( y did I say that!!)

Bani looked up at him in surprise ….dadi was also equally surprised…

B: ummm..no its ok…its not that far..i can manage…

Jai stood there having no idea wat to say next

Dadi came to his rescue..

D: nahi beta..we will drop u…I insist

B: ok..thank u ..

Bani looked at jai again..he was smiling slightly..actaully it was more of a slight curving of his lips..

Push: I should get inside now..Bani ,thanx for bringing my lunch…I'll pik u from the caf same time tonite ok…

hearing that did not do much good for jai's mood…and even less when bani smiled at pushkar and nodded at him…

he stalked of towards the car…

bani sat in the bac…"jai walia..only the most eligble bachelor around…great goin bani…if there was one person outta ur league..u piked this one "bereted the voice in her head…

with bani sitting behind dadi..jai who was driving wasn't too happy when

he noticed he couldn't c her in the rear view mirror

after dropping her off at the caf ,Jai and dadi went bac to W.M….

small bit I know……but that's all I had time for rite now…
