Jai looked at his sleeping wife. He delicately moved a strand of hair from her face. She was sleeping peacefully beside him. He looked at the time it was almost 7.30am. Should he wake her up or just let her sleep? What about her office? He thought. She moved and pulled the quilt cozily around her. He got up from the bed and switched off the air condition. He walked back and sat on the edge of the bed.
'Bani…' he called her softly.
Bani snapped her eyes open. She found him sitting on the bed and looking at her.
She blushed scarlet. He smiled showing her the time.
'Don't you want to go the office?'
'No…'
"No?'
She smiled at his eagerness.
'Nahin… aaj Friday hai. Chutti hein.
"Acha? Tho hum kya karein?.. wapas sou jayein?''''
BAni blushed beetroot red.
He laughed and pulled her towards him.

They had breakfast and went to explore the city. It was one of the best moments in his life. There wasn't anyone to bother them. Nor did he have to deal with any business matters. He had her all to himself. They were heading to Dubai for shopping he had put the question to her.
'Bani… thum wapas kab anaeki soch rahi ho?...'
Bani was dreading the question. She had to answer him she looked at him and said.
'I need to work for a month..'
Nahin ho saktha….he said not taking his eyes of the road.
'Leki mein kya karoon? You do know after resignation you have to work for a month right? Even you do own a company?
'han patha hein lekin who bas mere employees keliye thum tho meri beewi ho….'
'Tho? Mein aap ki office mein kaam nahin karthi she defended. I can't come before that. If I am committed then I am committed.
'so you want come before that? Is that it?
'Aap muje batateye? Ki mein kya karoon?
'teek hein phir. Lekin muje jaana hoga. I am going tomorrow. I am going to London and after 4 days I'll fly back to Mumbai. Zaroori kaam hein.
BAni's face fell. Though she knew he couldn't stay she hoped him to stay for at least a week.
She fell quiet. He threw a glance at her.
'muje pata hein ke thumhein bura lagraha hein. Lekin mein kuch nahi karsakhta. I would like to stay but I can't.
'Mm'
They had great time in Dubai. Bani did few shopping bought few dresses for her at his insistence. Jai left to London the next day.
Bani was in her office working with her assistant shreyas she got a call from Jai. BAni excused herself and spoke to him.
"Jhi kahiyein…
'Kya thum Bani thum aise bath kar rahi ho ke thum mujse thang aagayee ho. He complained.
'acha! Aap ki wajese mein aaj office late hogayee. Kal aap kitne baje phone rakithi?'
Meine socha ki mein bas half an hour so jaooo lekin jab uta tho bahooth late hogayee thi. Agar aisa raha tho mein agle mahine hii aasakoongi…'
'Aisa thum sochna bhi math…' he flared.
BAni giggled . so how was the meeting?'
Hm teek hein.' Thum kya kar rahi ho?
'mein yahan shreyas ke sath hoon.'
"Kya?'
"kYa ka kya mathlab? Mein usse kuch samjarahin hoon. Itna possessive hone ki zaroorat nahin Mr.Walia.' she teased.
'thum mere namm se kabh muje pukaroge Mrs.walia?
'mmm..'
'mm'
Acha mein rakoon muje kamm hein..' she said looking at the time.
'Han teek hein bai. Thum rakoo aur us shreyas ko kuch sikhaoo'
She chuckled.
A week had passed and Bani missed him terribly.
She putting her cloths for washing the calling bell rang. Mythali had gone with her husband for an outing. She went and opened the door.
Jai stood at her doorway with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
'aap?' she gaped.
'Thum yahan se zara hat jao so that I can come in.'
She moved aside to let him in. she closed the door and looked at him not believing her eyes.
'Aisa math dekho yaar. Mujse raha nahin gaya. I'll be flying back to Mumbai at 2 in the morning.' He put his cases on the floor and pulled her in his arms.
'meine socha ki thum muje dekhkar bahoth kush honge lekin nahin muje ek hug bhi nahin kiya.
She chuckled. 'sorry muje vishwas nahi hotha ki aap wapas…'
Even he couldn't believe what he was doing. There was no life with out her. She had conquered every waking hours of his. His days started and ended thinking about her. He didn't want to think about their past. He was such a fool to let her go away from him.
Jai met Mythali's husband and they hit it of immediately. Foursome had dinner out and they had a grand time. Bani drove him to the airport taking Mythali's car. Jai was surprised at her skill for driving he never knew she had the licence. Jai left her reluctantly and flew back to his business world.

JAi reached his house in the morning. he saw Masi moving past her room Jai called. JAI was reserved with her after Bani left him. MAsi looked at him surprised her eyes welled with tears at her munna's sudden rush of love towards her. He took her hand and propelled her to his room. Once in his room he gave her a tight hug. Masi looked surprised. 'Itna heirani se math dekho muje mein ek secret batha ne keliye aap ko yaha le aaya.' he grinned.
'Munna...... her eyes lighted.'Kya Bani milgayi...'
'han masi.. milgayi..he hugged her again.
'Phir kahan hein?'
'Ayegi maasi.... kuch work related issues hein woh lipta kar ayegi...'
munna mein bahoth kush hoon beta usse kehna ki woh jaldi wapas ayee'. after a thought she asked. ' kya woh thumhein...'
'han.'

Rano got up from her bed and went to get water from the jug. The jug was empty she slowly walked out of the room to get water from the kitchen. Sahil was deep in sleep. She went to the fridge and got herself water. She heard someone talk before she could guess who that was. Jai walia walked to the kitchen with his cell phone in hand he was laughin about something and she heard him comment.
'Kya thum ne khana khaya? Nahin….. kyon?.....
'Acha ab jaldi wapas aajana… mujse raha nahin jatha….'
Rano gritted her teeth. Mr. Walia flirting in the middle of the night? Sharam aanee chahiyee in ko. Is ghar mein kisko sharam hein? she grimaced. Har koyi itna selfish hein ke... she stopmed out of the kitchen in anger.
Jai saw her leave and said on the phone.' Thum hari bahen bahoth gussa hokar gayee hein kitchen se…
He heard his wife giggle.

Jai waited impatiently at the air port. His face widened to a smile at the sight of her. She was in a pretty color saree which he had presented. She waved at him.
Sitting beside him in the car BAni's chest grew with anxiety. She has been returning to India after 14months. She took a deep breath.
'kya mahsoos kar rahi ho?' he asked squeezing her hand.
'Pata nahin. I can't even breath properly.
The car stopped at Walia mansion. There wasn't anyone out he opened the door for her BAni got out of the car her heart in her mouth. He assured her and they walked to the door. BAni stood behind him he opened the door and saw Rano seated with a book in one of the settee. She looked up at the sight of him. She got up hurriedly to march inside he called.
"Rano…'
Rano turned to look at him with full of questions. This was the first time he had called her by her name after her sister left. She looked at him intently.
He stepped aside and looked at Rano. He saw her face turn from shock to surprise. Millions of expressions flashed on her face. 'DI…………….'. She ran towards her sister crying and laughing simultaneously and threw herself at her jerking BAni. Jai caught them both and steadied them, his eyes moist. He looked at them. Rano was weeping holding Bani tightly in her embrace. Bani held her back tears flowing through her cheek. They were crying and laughing. Sahil walked in and looked surprised at the scene.
Jai looked at his wife and sister in law and said. 'Rano.. thum yeh kya kar rahi ho. BAni ko zara ahista gale lagalo….she is finding hard to breath. Ab muje bhi gale lagana hein, mein bhi bas aaj hi mila hoon usse…. He grinned at Rano's blush.
Jai couldn't believe his luck . Rano left Bani and hugged him. 'Thank you jeeju…'
'Jeeju?... not Mr.walia? he teased . he was overwhelmed at her emotion. He put his hand around her.
'Jeeju hi teek hein…rano said looking him in the eye. "aap ko nahin maloom ki aapne aaj muje kya diya hein….? She said hugging him again. Sahil winked at his mamaji and went and hugged them. He turned to Bani and said."welcome back Mamiji.'
BAni smiled between her tears. Masi walked in hearing the commotion in the living room. Her eyes popped out at the sight of Bani.
'BAni………………' she ran towards her and hugged her tightly. Masi and BAni cried shamelessly infront of every one. Tony Butler walked in. and Jai said. "kHbardar thum meri patni ko hug kiya tho….'
Tony stared at him and ignored him. Looked back at Bani who smiled at him.
'Bani madam.. aap kaisi ho?'
'mein teek hoon tony or thum?
He nodded not believing his eyes.
'Tony.. thum BAni ka bags zara upper lejana.. ' Jai announced.
When Bani reached their room she was emotionally exhausted. She looked around the room lovingly. Nothing has changed everything remained frozen with the time.
'Thum aagayi…'Jai held her from behind. "I was thinking you would never come up when I saw masi and Rano showering their attention to you '. He murmured behind her ear. He looked up from her when he heard the knock on the door. BAni went to open it. Rano stood at the door way hesitantly and said. "Di Pia is down stairs.'
"Pia?' Bani walked out of her room hurriedly and walked towards the step. Her feet froze on the first step. Pia was standing in the living room holding a baby in her hand. BAni heard Jai behind her and her heart stopped to beat.
