Bani stepped out of her room and walked to her living room. Her heart stopped at the sight of her husband. HE was seated comfortably on the settee leafing through a mgazine. He looked up feeling her presence in the room.He threw the magazine on the tea poi and got up studying her for a ssecond. He looked her from head to toe and a slow smile appeared at his lips.
'Bani...' he called walking towards her.
"Go get dressed. I need to talk to you.'he said in an authorised tone.
she frowned.
'I need to talk to you somewhere private.' he stressed.
Without much of an argument she walked back to her room. Changed her dress. she wore a long white skirt and a majanta top picked up her handd bag an wwalked towars Mythali's room and announced."I am going out will be late.' Mythali nodded.
JAi saw her all dressed and they walked ot of the apartment in silence. he caught a cab and told the driver his address. they were quite on the way to his hotel.
Bani was amazed at the luxury he could afford the room looked fantastic the view was superb he took her to the drawing room and asked her to take seat. she sat down obediently and looked at him. he sat opposite her and stared at her not moving his gaze.
Jai broke the silence finally.
'I honestly did not expect you would oblige.'
'me neither...' Bani said.
He frowned. 'Well why did you disappear BAni?' he asked kicking himslef mentally for being so blunt.
Bani smirked.
'BAni..' he leaned forward to touch her hand. she shrank away from his touch.
"Okay....okay...he muttered ruffling his hair in agitation. This isn't how he had palnned, he thought. he cursed himself for not getting proper word to express himself.
Bani stared at him for a moment and asked. 'Why are you here?'
'To get you back.." he was blunt again.
"You are kidding'. she said getting up.
'Nahin Bani mein thumhare liye hi aaya hoon. thum yakeen nahi karongi ke meine thumhein kahan nahi doonda?..'he said eagerly looking at her.
muje yakeen hein...lekin aap muje kyon doond rahein hei?' she said throwing him off balance.
'Mein yahan bahoth kush hoon muje yahan har roz nahin marna padtha. i am fine here and my mind is very calm.
he looked hurt.
'Mein janthi hoon ki mere wajase thumhein bahoth thakleef utane padi. Lekin kya wo akela meri galthi tha? he adked intensly.
'Nahin aapki galthi nahin thi. It was my fault that with out thinking I obeyed Jigyasa to marry you, because she threatend me. She made me believe because of my sister your reputeion was at stake. I obliged. Like a fool I killed my life and dream that day. Then i believe i could make this marriage work. but it was not easy. ar ek din nai museebath khadi hothithi. PHir be a greater fool i was like a bhartheeya idiotic nari I went along with this marriage andd its problems. And then that fatefull night happened.. she looked at him with embarrassment. Aur aapne mujse sorry kaha.. muje nahin patha ki us shabdh ne muje.... ' she looked away unable to continue.
'I was just an obligation to you. You never felt anyhting for me. It was always one sided. Kabhi kabhi muje lagthath ki aap mujse.... Nhin phir agle hi din kuch hojatha tha ki mein....
he took a step forward and said.' aisa nahin hein BAni...
'Aisa hi hein . muje patatha ki mein .. i was a burden for you. you didn't have any other choice....
she looked away blinking back her tears.
'Yeh thum kya....
'Nahin Mr.Walia.. appko bas .... phir humara wo bacha. aapko tho bas bache ki fkar thi.. Ab aur mein kuch nahin sah sakthin bahoth hogaya...' She was pouring out all her pain and anguish.
'Pleas aap muje akela chod di jeeye' she said walikg towars the door.
'main nahin chod sakhta....' he took long strides and caught her hand. Bani felt her hand burn. she twisted her arm from his grip. As she tried to free herself his hold tightened.
"Mien nahi chodd saktha thumhein wapas aanahi padega..'
chodo mera hath.. she twisted and tunred from his steely grip.
'You have no right to touch me.' she shouted.
'I do with every damn righ to touch you damnit.. i just did not spend sleepless nights.. ki thum muje milo aur thumhein mein asie hi chodoon. Ek saal se mein thum hein doond rahan hoon damnit..' He thundered pushing her back on the sofa and imprisonning her with his hands on both sides of the settee. and said in a cold voice. "thum yahan se hila mijse bura koyi nahin hoga SAmje thum! bahoth hogaya yeh choohe billi ka khel..he looked piercingly at her. thum hein tho mein....
he caught her chin and forced her face up. she glared at him. "Baap re baap itna gussa..' he mocked. He then carressed her chin with his thump and called softly.. BAni... she turned her face awaya from him. 'Bani.. 'he called again softly turning her face towards him.
he took a deep breath andd continued. 'Jho thum ne abhi abhi kaha wo sab sach nahin hein. han meine thumhein bahooth dukh diya Lekin as the dyas progressed i was a changed man. Bhina kuch kahein hum dodno mein ek understanding tha. meine bahoth baar wo mahsoos kiyatha aur jaise thum ne kahan that fateful night i wass honestly not sorry for what happened.. i said sorry because i did not want you to feel that i have taken advantages of you whn you were...... JAi saw her face turning into crimson pink . he heaved a sigh and continued.
"I can't let you go. come home....'
Nahin mein nahi aa sakthi.. mein kuch bhi nahin boola.. muje abhi bhi dard hothi hein jab mein us din ke barein mein sochthi hoon tho i cant forgive you or her. I can't she broke into a heart renching cry. covering her face she said.'main maaf nahin karsakhta aap dono ko. aap dodono mere barose ko thoda hein.

'Mien maaf nahin kar sakthi.. mere baroseko thoda hein aap dono nein..' she hiccuped inbetween her crying..
Jai looked lost for words.It was hurting him more than he could imagine seeing her cry.
"Bani...' he called softly. 'JHo thum soch rahein ho wo galat hein..' he said stroking her head
'Nahin galat nahin..... meinne aap dono ki aankhomein dekhi hein.... please go... leave me... leave me alone' she pushed him away from her.and got up from her seat.
Jai had a pained expression on his face.
'Bani.. kuch nahin hua tha hum dono ke beech..'
she shook her head not believing him.
'Believe me... kuch galat nahin hua..' he repeated looking staight into her eyes. she shook her head again in denial.
He sweared and got her shoulders in a grip. 'thumhari wajese tho wo sab kuch hua damn it..' he thundered.
'Na thum muje wo divorce paper bejthe. nahi mein itni..... i got drunk damn it. I was extremely hurt jab lawer ne phone karke yeh bataya ki thumhein jaldi divorce chahiyein. i couldn't believe what I was hearing..
'Lekin meine koyi divorce paper nahin beji mein hto proceedings rukwane keliye kaha tha..' she acccused.
'Yeh thum kya kehrahi ho Bani? teek hein.... he got the answer looking into he eyes.' mm thum hto mujse milne keliye ayi thi.. lekin I swear i got that damn papers. You drove me insane with your demands.I was drunk beyond imagination.Pia ne muje room thak leke gayi....
'Bas! muje nahin sunna....' she put both her hand on her ears.
'Thumhein sunna padega..' he pulled her hands away and glared at her.
'Pia ne muje room mein...
he saw her eyes well up in tears.
'Teek hein mein details mein nahin jaoonga. meine use bas hug kiya baki kuch muje maloom nahin
I might have slept or fell unconcious over her.. I don't know...
A slow smile appeared at her lips and dissapeared before he could comment on it.
'Kuch nahin hua Bas..
"Lekin Pia......' she hesitated.
"Pia got scared... seh got carried away .you know Pia..." he gave her a knowing look.
"Pia had come to meet me after resigning her Job. She told me nothing had happened between us And like i said I fell unconcious...And she didn't have heart to wake me up.. jo hua so hua lekin woh sab nahin hua jho thum soch rahi ho...
she still looked unyeilding.
"Bani mein itni door se bas thumhein mere sath lejane keliye aya hoon..' he said taking her hand and pulling her towards him in a tight hug.
'waapas aajao.." he said stroking her hair.
Bani coudln' believe what was happennning to her. She pinched herself to see if everything was real.
Leaving her restrain she slowwly wrapped her arms around him.
he held her more tightly this time fearing if he had loosened his hold she would run away again.
BAni did not know how long they stood in each others arms. she tilted her head up to look at him. she saww his eyes filled with unshed tears. before Baani could react he lowered his headd and kissed her on the mouth.
she looked at him stunned. Jain grinned at her boyishly. He then lifted her right hand and placed it on his chest.
"Ismein bas thum hi ho Bani. bas thum. There wasn't any one who had tocuhed my heart like you did. Aur
na hi koyi hoga...'
Bani blushed at his bold declaration.
'Come on bani hum log bahr jae ke dinner karthein hein..'he said taking her with him.
'Lekin meine tho dinner....
'Koi bath nahin muje comapany dena...'
"teek hein.. she agreed. and she looked hesitantly at him.. 'muje aap wapas mere apartemnet mein chod deejiyega..'
he scowled at her request.
'Mythli kya sochegi......
"kYa sochna hein thum apni pati ke sath ho bas....'
'Nahin... mein woh.... she did not know what to say.
"Bani...... okay. he said after much of delebration.
'Lekin aaj ...bas! from tomorrow onwards you are with me. bahoth samay barbad kiya ab aur nahin..'
BAni chuckeled at his banter.
'Hason math...' he said in mock anger pulling her once more in a hug and releasing her reluctantly.
Jai had left het to her apartment reluctantly. Bani waved at him andd he sat stubbornly not waving back to her. Bani smiled and walked to her apartment.
She was extremely happy about the turn of events. she went straight to bed not disturbing Mythali. She tossed and tunred in her bed not able to sleep. she was excited and happy about the turn her life had taken. What ever anger she had for her sister had vanished.
Mythali was surprised and worried to see her in the morning. she was having tea in the kitchen when Mythali walked in. Mythali stared at her friend not taking her eyes of Bani. Bani blushed at her scrutiny.
'mmm.. what we got here?' Mythali asked with full of smiles.
Bani chuckled.
"Kyon? pyar hogaya na?' Mythali giggled like a school girl.
'tell me BAni what are you doing here?' she pulled a chair and sat down.
'Kya mathlab/' BAni faked innocence.
"Bano math Bani thum apni pati parmeshwar ko chod kar yahan kya kar rahi ho?..... ek minute..'
Mythali pushed back her chair and went out of kichen coming back with her cell phone she punched the number and then asked, ' kahan ho bhai?'
'Thumhari apartment ki bahr'. came the reply.
mythali walked to her door and opened the door.
Bani heard them exchange greetings. Her face flushed and her heart beat raised at his voice. Before she could get up and rum\n to her room to change MYthali and Jai walkeed into the kitchen. his gaze swept her and she blushed.
"Yeh yahan kay kar rahi hein?' Mythali pointed at bani and asked jai
'Wahi tho mein bhi kah raha tha, lekin inhone kahan Mythali kya sochegi..
befor Jai could finish Mythali nroke into a laughter Jai joining her. Bani looked embarressed her cheeks and ears turning red.
"Bas karo itna hasne ki koi Zaroorat nahin. Bani chided.
Jai winked at her causing her to blush again.
"Tea or coffee?' mythali asked him.
"tea'.. thank you. he said pulling a chair to sit down.
BAni pushed her chair and got up.
'Thum kahan chali? ' he asked.
'muje der ho rahi hein office keliye.' she sadi walking towars the sink to rinse her cup.
Mythali and Jai exchanged glances.
