Part 29
'That was delicious Zyad uncle. Thank you' Zyad smiled whole heartedly to Anjali and winked at her. They had been talking all the time, while both Jai and Bani were silent. 'Let's all go for a walk. Well you guys go for a walk I will go for a ride, but soon I will walk with you. Although I like my wheelchair alot, especially when daddy pushes me around.' The three adults laughed and Zyad winked at Anjali, as he knew perfectly what the little girl was up to. He made Bani take his arm and he started walking ahead followed by Anjali and Jai. Anjali kept chatting about alot of nonense in order to make it impossible for her dad to hear the conversation between Zyad and Bani. Those two were first talking about the weather and the place, but their conversation soon directed to a more serious tone. 'I'd like to ask you something if you don't mind.' Zyad smiled. He knew very well what question was burning on Bani's tongue for the last hour, but he pretended to be ignorant about it. 'Go ahead and shoot. You can ask me everything, but I won't garantee to answer everything.' Bani giggled. 'Who is the one you want so early to be remembered by?' Zyad closed his eyes and saw her infront of him. He took his time to answer. 'One fine day, a long time ago I was a poor boy, who lived in Cairo, Egypt. My dad worked very hard to give us a decent living and good education. He used to work as a clerk for this business tycoon. I wanted to help my dad out, but he refused to let me drop school. He was desperate to make me study to have a better future. In college I met Dalia. She was the most beautiful girl Ive ever seen. We fell in love with each other and decided to get married. I took my parents and we went to meet her in order to ask for her hand. Her dad humilated us and through us out. According to him, we were not fit for his daughter as she would marry a very rich men. That men turned out to be my dad's boss. I thought I was going to lose my mind. I wanted to take her out of that house forcefully, but my parents reasoned with and I couldn't do anything but watch how is get married off to a business tycoon from Dubai. On her wedding day I sent her the song you heard secretly and I got a song back in reply. I followed her to Dubai and got myself a job at her husbands enterprise in the hope to ever see her again, but I didn't. I work hard and worked myself to the top. I started a business of my own and here is where I stand today. In Mumbai, with a beautiufl girl next to me and my heart and mind in the past.' Bani stopped walking and looked at Zyad. He tried to hide his tears, but make a good job of it. Bani hugged him and whisphered she was sorry to remind him of the past. 'How could you remind me of something that is always on my mind silly?' A cough made them realise where they were. 'If you are done, can we go?' The voice of Jai hurt Bani's ears. She turned towards him. He was standing behind Anjali who was sneekely smiling to Zyad. Jai looked furious, but tried his best to cover up. He gave Bani and a nasty smile and without saying one more he turned around and walked away with his daughter towards the car.
Rano was standing at the door of a nightclub waiting for Saahil. He said he would meet her there at 9 pm, but now it was already 10 pm and he was still not there. Three men were standing at the other side of the road and were whistling and saying things to her. She ignored them and wished Saahil would come there soon. The guys started walking her way and with no time she found herself being surrounded by them. Rano started to panick and tried to walk away, but they blocked her and started touching her. Rano cried out for help, but people passed her, giving her pityful looks, but they didn't interfere. She tried to hit the guys off her, while the tears fade her view. When she though she was going to lose the fight she heard a very familiar voice. She wiped her tears away and saw how Natwar kicked the guys away. When they run away bleeding, he walked up to her. She wanted to fall in his arms and cry her heart out. But before she could do so, she felt how a tight slap hit her cheek. She stumbled, but didn't fall. In shock she looked at Natwar. He looked furious and without saying one more word he pulled her toward his bike and made her sit. He drove off in high speed and all Rano could do was hold him tight and cry her heart out, while the wind wiped her tears away.
