There was a festive look in the Walia House, everyone was working and doing preparations, decorations.. Cleaning etc…. Bani is near the pooja room and making list and checking out things out there… Massi is seriously listening to her… Tony comes and give her a glass of water that she just keep it in her hand, told him to go and do something… Massi ask her to drink it as if she forgot about the water in hand so much so she is involved in thoughts…

Bani looks more fresh but bit aged than she usually appears … She called Tony and handed over the list and asked to get the things in an hour time. Anu is coming down the steps.

Anu: Mami, why do you take this much strain, just leave it the servants will looks after it…

Bani: Anu, when you are in place sometime later you should do things like this at home, isn't Massi..?

Massi: Bani is right, Anu beta. This is the way our households are running thru generations.

Anu nodded helplessly and walked away leaving a smile on both of their faces… That evening, there is some functions for her and her baby and they are preparing for the pooja and things. Jai called twice but he couldn't get Bani. It seems to Massi that she simply skip taking his phone. Every things were ready and Massi told Bani to go and take rest and get ready after 1 hour. Bani nodded and gone to her room. Massi thought there is something worrying her for sure…

Bani came down in 10 minutes and told Massi "Massi, I will be right back, want to buy some gifts for Anu" Massi though looked suspiciously but agreed "o.k. beta, come fast".. Bani smiled and told, "Massi, you looks like something very serious is going to happen here, don't worry, every thing is ready and we had taken extra care if there is any more guests are here, isn't it?" Massi nodded and smiled… "I know, beta, still come fast"

Bani walked out. She told the driver "if I say something will you listen to me?" driver what is it mam, tell me? Bani told him that she can't attend the function as she just lost her baby and she should not attend it for the sake of Anu and her Baby… that none in the house will listen to her if she tells, then there is only one way left her to keep away from the house during the pooja time… driver agreed hesitantly that he will switch off the phone as well as she too… they went to do some shopping , then went and sit in Pushkar's house… for some time … then they reached the temple… there the driver switched on the phone while Bani went inside the temple… as he knows Jai will be tensed too much if he didn't get him. Now the pooja must be over. Massi called him he told Massi she is in temple and doing some pooja. He told Massi what Bani told him that he couldn't do anything else. Massi understood. Jai was listening to all these, he came asked Massi "Massi, will you tell me what is going on? Where is she? " Massi told him that her bahu is very intelligent, that she knows our customs and ways, so kept out of pooja for the sake of Anu and her baby. Jai in utter shock asked her "what the hell are you talking, if Bani is here to bless them then what will happen..?" Massi "beta, this function should be done by mothers and blessed married women , and Bani knows that since she lost her baby just a while back she should not be present, it will take as a bad thing if someone pointed out… if a girl can't go to temple then she should keep away from pooja, just that way, you don't worry, she is a very caring and understanding person and doing the pooja for Anu in the temple now…"

Anu walked to them in a blissful way told Jai that "Mamaji, Massi is correct, please don't get angry with Mami, she told me yesterday itself about it and I had to obey her, because I don't want her to be blamed for anything. I know I had her blessings all the time and she is very concerned about me, you know. She had done all preparations and done her duty and gone to do pooja in temple. So please don't talk to her over this. " Jai was so sad, his face showed it. He simply walked out and started his car and off before both of them can say anything. He knows how much Bani is taking for him. His vision blurred with tears. He put off the engine near the temple just sat there. He could see the driver stand there near the car. The driver walked up to him with fear. Jai told it is ok, you go I will pick her. The driver again started to say something, but he stopped with his hands.

Bani took the blessings of the priest and turned with the pooja thali in her hand just to see Jai is climbing up the steps to the temple. She got a fire started in her stomach. She stood their rooted. She knows he is angry. And was thinking what explanations she will give. Jai looked up and saw she is standing there. He went up directly inside and prayed a while and came back. He showed his hands for Prasad without looking straight to her. She gave the Prasad and stood there looking down. He suddenly took a pinch of sindhoor from the thali and spread it over her forehead that she just looked in surprise at him. He smiled back. She bent down to touch his feet and he held her half way. He took her by shoulder and lead the way down. She understood the driver must have told him what she told and that is why he is not angry. She sighed and silently got into the car. He called Massi and told she is with him and they will be late don't wait for the dinner. Bani got surprised again and she looked at him in question. He didn't respond, but continued starting the car and driving. She understood that he is just managing his anger and not really in good mood. They reached the beach. He got down without saying anything and walked out alone. Bani sat there looking at him. She didn't feel like getting down and walk along. Jai didn't look back also. He walked and he is too away now. Bani sat there and rested her head on the back of the seat and tears streamed out from her eyes. She didn't know the time passed and gone, he came back and looked at her through the window rolled down, her side. He placed hand over her head and sighed. Opened the door, took her hand and got her out. She just obeyed it without looking at him. He took her and they sat in the sand near by. He wrapped his hand over her shoulder and asked "why didn't you feel like telling me this? If had you had told me I could have understood it and could have arranged some alternative instead of you gone alone all the time… you know how it hurts me? Still don't you feel that I someone who can understand you and stand by you?" Bani, just put her hands over his lips "Please, don't think like that.. you know it is not like that… if I told you then you will not attend the function,, see Anu doesn't have her mother around, you brought her as your own child, you can't possibly opt out of that function yourself for any reason… and if it is for me, I can't bear it… because if you feel like her father can't I feel a share of it like as her mother… it is only for her good future… true or false, I am unable to make the decision now… I feel only happy for her… I didn't tell knowing that you won't stay there if I am not there…". She now is really trying hard to compose herself, her words were broken and very low…. She sat looking into the waves… "some occasions are not avoidable in life… I am really sorry… please forgive me" she kept her head on her knee and started weeping… he just shocked to realize, oh hell, I again put her into this situation, why couldn't I help her going thru this and cheer her up… I am so selfish… humanless creature of the whole world… "Baneee, please, I didn't blame you… I was just ….. ". She looked up wiping the tears… "it is ok, I can't think properly in some situations… like this… I just didn't know how to make it good without hurting anyone… " he knows it is the truth… she is coping with her own pain… in that fight she had to struggle more to make the others happy too… he pulled her to him and held tightly… planted a soft kiss near the ear… sat there for some more time lost in thought. They had dinner together outside.. Walked around the book corner to pick up some good books.. came home around 9.30… all at home were waiting in the hall… Massi came to the door seeing them… she hugged Bani and asked her whether had dinner or not. Jai "see, she wants to know only Bani had eaten or not, no one mind me at all…" all took by surprise hearing his joke and they were like wow, he started to say jokes too… Aditya came and stood by Jai and told "that is correct… that is really partiality… why we men doesn't have any importance… everything for girls…. Too bad" Bani laughed at him and told, "don't worry uncle, if she gave me dinner I will share it with you… promise.." he smiled and came to her and gave a good hug. He looked at her a while with moist eyes still on a smiling face. She understood he is silently thanking her. Anu came to her too and hug her also. Jai again "see, how partial are these people. This is not fair. I am going to wear a sari tomorrow onwards." He walked to his room shrugging the shoulders with a funny expression on face. Every one laughed on his back. Massi, "now, go and take rest. The whole day you didn't take rest at all." Bani took Anu in hand and put a small gift box on her hand. Anu said thanks to her, Bani walked to the room.

Anu opened the wrap in front of others and saw a small golden VINAYAK. She smiled and understood its meaning… Rano was like, "Di never go to buy gold, she never buy herself and today wow, she just did it for you.. I am very happy for you.." she went and hug Anu.

Bani entered the room and saw Jai already changed into night gown and in bed lying closing his eyes. She took his medicine and pours water into glass and walked to him. He took it and again back to bed. She looked at him and walked to the bathroom…. In bed she sat near him and kept a hand over his heart… and looked into his eyes. That is the way she always communicate with him… he always felt he is naked in front of her eyes… they lost in eyes and he pulled her to his chest and held her tightly. She was but very quiet even though there is a catch in her throat by suppressing the cry. She put her hand inside the gown to touch is chest and just massaged through his chest hair. She knows she hurt him badly today…

Looked up into his eyes, she "I called the doctor today." Jai looked at her down as if "why? " she "doctor told last scanning day that I may …." Jai put his finger over her lips… "I know what you are going to say…. I don't want to take a risk Bani, you have to recover fully… you are young and not going to loose much if you wait a couple of months.. more " Bani "But she told me I am ready now…. " Jai looked at her and told "I know exactly what she told you… do you think I am not eager to become a father… but you should understand… Bani, I lived for the family and made everything possible to let them live a comfortable life… But I have only you as my own…. Haan, I am selfish… possessive…. Only about you… ". He caught his breathe a while and continued…" Banee, I want a family, my own family, with you… even if there is none other than you I am ok, as far as I am concerned you are the world for me…nothing else matter to me… and if GOD allow we will have kids and have our own kids… may be I am possessive… but I am not wrong… for anything I need you to be healthy… now if you are conceiving, putting you in risk I will not be able to cope with the pressure and tension till you are safe with the baby… do you understand… " he pushed her away and got up and walked to the balcony… Bani in kind of guilt and self-hatred…. As if left alone, sat there looking at him…. She knew it hurt him .. she got down and walked to him… she touched him on the back softly unaware whether he will be angry or shout her back again… he suddenly turned and she stepped back two steps back in fear.. her eyes were flooded… ohhh hell , he thought … this girl…she still is afraid of me… God, how can I ever make her understand I am no more the old Jai Walia… she looked down and said "I am sorry, I will not ask again." She still looking down turned back to walk back… Jai hold her hand and with two finger he took her chin up… "Bani, look into my eyes" she hesitated a while then she looked up slowly, he could see the two streams down her cheeks, she looks like that school girl who came home to say a complaint about some naughty classmates… he wiped her cheeks and held her close to his chest… "sweet heart, I am not the old Jai Walia you know, I am your husband and I love you so much… don't keep yourself so distant from me… you keep things to yourself without sharing with me… how sad it is you know… you could tell me anything… if I can't understand then who will understand you… darling, please be patient.. I know it is too much for you… but I want to have a healthy baby and a healthy mother for my baby… oh, God… how can I make you understand I am also eagerly waiting to see you with my baby in your hands… look at me.." he again pushed her chin up … this time she just closed her eyes and stood like this.. he kissed her forehead.. she put her head on his chest and nuzzled on his chest hair… he like.. Soothed by a cool breeze in the desert… he too closed his eyes in that pleasure and stretched back his head … they both lost in their own world.. They walked into the bed… both tired and exhausted, mentally and physically slept their hand around each other…

omg a fabulous writer u r!!! i absolutely loved the story!!! its the most realistic ff i've read so far! i loved it..u r soo talented and make it seem soo real..so real that when i am watchin epis of ks on zee i forget what the truth is from the fan fics..i remember the situations in each fan fic adn i automatically place them in proper parts of the real ks and i just wished the story went like how i imagined it!! keep up the good work haan? i'll be looking forward to ur fanfics....
