PLS OVERLOOK THE MISTAKES AND INEXPERIENCED WRITING
IN THEIR OWN HEAVEN, FOREVER
Bani walked from Pia's hall into her apartment slowly as if floating in the air. She was thinking, there is something wrong for sure.. The whole thing she couldn't just swallow. She suddenly remembered about the saree then. She thought if Mr. Walia told he don't know anything about the saree, it must be true. She thought whatever he is, he didn't lie to her except the hospital drama. That too she remembered after got shot and he become unable to go out to search for her. But this … she thought… OMG is it possible that he is really in danger. She got panicked of the mere thought of it. If this is someone from the Walia house then the danger is too near. She suddenly called Aditya. Her sound was cracking with fear and exhaustion.
Bani: Hello, Aditya Uncle, this is Bani.
Aditya: Bani, are you OK? Is there any problem?
Bani: Uncle, I want to meet you very urgently. Will you be able to come to my place now?
Aditya: Sure, I will be there in few minutes, BTW you just relax, don't get strained too much O.K.
Bani: Thank you, haan, uncle please don't tell this to anyone that you are coming to see me.
Aditya: Sure Bani.
Bani were pacing in the room when Aditya came inside running.
Aditya: What happened Bani? What is the matter?
She told him about the white sari, and told him that it couriered from Walia house. Then she told him how she went there and met with Mr. Walia. Aditya got shocked and stood a second. Bani told him that if the person who sent is from Walia house then Mr. Walia is in really danger.
Bani: We have to find out somehow who sent this and for whom. Will you please do a favour. I left the saree and letter with Walia. If you can please collect it and come with me to the police station… we need to act fast, uncle I am really scared… uffffff
She admitted that… she is concerned about him!!!!!!!!!
Aditya: Bani, we will do one thing, wait.
Immediately he called Jai and asked to send the saree in a separate packing to the police station with Sahil, and stay at home till he reaches him back. He told Jai that he will talk to him later and never even try to switch on the car, to stay at home.
Jai: Aditya, please tell me, what the hell is going on?
Aditya: Jai, don't worry, you just stay at home and send Sahil, haan don't tell anyone else about it. Tell Sahil not to tell anything about it.
Jai: O.K
Aditya took Bani to the police station and by the time they reached Sahil also came. Bani talked to the inspector about the saree and told him that if it is someone from the Walia house then it is very important to find out it at the earliest.
Inspector called a officer in mufti and asked him to go the couriers and find out who dropped it there. He told him to take the person who was in the reception while this delivery happened.
Then Bani started to tell the whole story. Most of the time she was struggling to form the words while she explained the calls and messages about the Park Road, Jai's pain and anger when he is hearing the word Park Road, how she started to find out the cheque given to the hospital in her fathers name, the cheque she found in Roshini's room in her fathers name, Ranvijay's lie, then the bomb blast and Roshini's words. Jai and Sahil sat stunned hearing the whole thing. It is as if there was a earthquake occurred and everything around them become a mess. Then Bani told about the inspector that if Jai hit her mother and killed her why on the earth someone else should try to kill him again. She suspect there is still something about the accident.
Bani: Inspector, could you please take the records of the Park Road accident happened on June 29th 7 years back.
Inspector called an officer and asked him to find out and bring the files. Inspector asked Bani why didn't you or Mr.Walia complained about the bomb attack. She told him I was so numb and shocked and was unable to react when I heard that the man I love the most is the killer of my mother, he left our father to sink in alcohol and literally thrown us to the street as orphan. She told him that it is not the matter that about the accident but he kept it from her till then, even when he tried to marry Pia or her.
The file is brought to the table. Inspector looked through the pages and told let me see, because I am new in this station and someone else was here who handled the case.
Ins: This FIR and the conclusion had not kept Mr. Jai Walia responsible for the accident happened to the lady. There was not a single evidence on his vehicle to prove that his car hit her. More than that the only blood found is in the back seat obviously happened while he tried to save her life. Also one underlined line this the lady was run over by a car through her head and legs approximately one hour back before Mr. Walia's car reached the spot.
Bani: What?
Ins: Yes, Mrs. Walia. His car in the storm, no rain at all, slipped and hit on the lamp post and the post fall on its back and the car stopped just there. If the car ran over the lady then there would have evidence on the floor or on the car. But the lady had lost almost drained her blood and it clearly said that she was lying there for a longer time. I don't understand why Mr. Walia think he killed her? Or is it possible someone really took advantage of the whole situation.
Bani: OMG, now I remember Mr. Walia told me about that night. He told me he was coming out of a hotel with Roshini and on the way they were fighting all along about her workaholic nature. Then they decided to end their engagement and she asked him to drop her in the Park Road since her brother is waiting there. That is why he took her there. But there was nothing mentioned about her brother at all. OMG, Aditya uncle, pls do something, ask Mr.Walia to come fast. Please. I want to see him.
Ins: No no. I will send someone to pick him in mufti. We can't allow him to travel alone in this condition, especially he got his arms in slings.
Bani stood and walked to the corner bench as if in lost and sat there keeping her head down and looking into her arms crossed in her lap. Inspector gave a bottle water from the top of the shelf behind him and gave to Sahil and eyed to Bani. Sahil took it to her.
Sahil: Mami, please control yourself, everything will be alright, you should not strain yourself in this condition, come on, drink this water.
Bani took the water and drink a couple of mouth. Jai came with an anxious look and went straight to Bani and sat next to her.
Jai: What happened Bani, what is going on, are you alright?
He then got up and turned inspector.
Jai: Why you are keeping her here, she is not supposed to take strain now, you could have called me to ask anything…
Aditya got up and put a hand on Jai's shoulder and told him that.
Aditya: Jai, please be quiet. She is alright, there is nothing they did to her, we came here ourselves to check some details.
Then he told Jai about the whole story, and how Bani asked about the file and what was there in the file etc. Jai had the shock of his life hearing about the verdict of the case.
Ins: If you don't mind Mr.Walia, I want to ask you some more questions. Please sit down.
Jai: Thank you (he sat in one of the chair while Sahil sat near Bani)
Ins: who told you that you are the killer of the lady and fined for the same?
Jai: Actually I left to Delhi, the next day, because I just couldn't come to term with what really happened to me. I flew in just to attend the private hearing in the judge's chamber. And flew back the same day. I was staying with my friend a doctor Sharma there till the case is over , about a 12 days. Roshini was handling the case. She told me one day that it is agreed for 10 lakh settlement. Then she told she gave her cheque but Mr.Dixit didn't accept he wanted my cheque. So I flew back and gave the cheque through her. I never met him after that.
Ins: didn't you ask Roshini to get u a copy of the verdict?
Jai: I told you, I was so grieving and in shock, and thought she is keeping it for me as a favour. I didn't ask and she didn't mention it also.
Ins: after this didn't you meet each other?
Jai: No, we decided to split, I told her I don't want to see her in my life again. I think she left to London after that.
Ins: London? Wait a minute? Roshini Chopra, isn't it?
He suddenly turned into officer and asked to take a register of some date. He offered some tea and juice to Bani too. By the time the register came they talked about lots of things and Jai went and sat with Bani and forced her to drink the juice. She couldn't keep her head up or look into his eyes. He placed a hand over her hand and she placed her other hand over his as acceptance. He smiled a little and squeezed her hand a little and left her and again took his seat.
Ins: Mr. Walia, this lady whom we are talking about had an another accident on July 27th and killed a 3 months old baby, its 2 year old sister and their mother. She was driving in over speed and with her brother next to her while over taking another car she bumped into a truck in opposite direction near a zebra crossing where this mother and kids were waiting to cross the road. Her car gone upside side just over these three and killed them on the spot.
Bani kept her hands on her ears and tightly closed her eyes in pain hearing this and sat with tears. Sahil held her over her shoulder consoling her and asked her to take it easy for the sake of the baby, she just nodded. Jai and others got another shock.
Ins: then this Ms.Chopra was in hospital where the same place the other lady died in room number 103 for about 45 days. She had broken ribs, damaged spinal chord and broken angle. Btw, I want to ask Mrs. Walia one more question, how did u see a cheque signed by her to you father? Exactly how and when?
Bani: (in feeble but firm voice) she was staying in our house (she abruptly stopped a second and looked Jai, he smiled to her, over the mention of "our house", it was like a cool breeze for him), I mean in the Walia house for short time after my sister Rano accidentally hit her down and sprained her angle slightly. She was talking in the phone and didn't notice the car is entering the parking lot. One day all were sitting down in the hall and in her room the windows where open and there was heavy wind outside. Whole room was spread with her papers and things and I went to tidy it after closing the window. Then accidentally I saw this cheque in my fathers name signed by her and in an old date, I think July 15th.
Ins: didn't your wife ask you about it?
Jai: off course she did, but as usual I shouted back and shut her mouth with the fear that if she knows she will be hurt. I wanted to let her go free and have a happy future with someone youger than an old one like me, who can love and take care of her. I was searching for one even , Aditya knows it. (He looked Aditya and Aditya nodded his head) But then she become an unavoidable part of me itself and everything gone upside down when that lady used every chance she got to blackmail me. I would have done anything not to hurt her but did fail in all ways.
Ins: why do you think her father sent his kids to you?
Jai: even though he took the money I gave he donated it to the hospital itself. But then I opened an account in his village bank and was sending him money there once in while. But he used the whole money to drink alcohol instead of looking after the kids and give them a good life. So I stopped and told him when any needs come for his kids he can contact me, then I will do that myself, no more money deals. But when these girls finally appeared on my door I was so happy. I thought God have given me a chance to give back some happiness to them. But….(he stopped abruptly.. Aditya put a hand over his shoulder)
Ins: I am going to tap all of your house numbers and the mobile numbers belong to those around you Mr. Walia. It may help. And I am going to take Rosnini in custody for a while just for a safe side.
Jai: O.K., Can we go now?
Ins: O.K. Mr.Walia, I already arranged security in your premises and home and you will be escorted by our men in cover. Just watch this one, (he showed a mobile phone, this is not mobile phone, but a look like, this is our communication transmitter, if you need anything just press this button and continue whatever you were doing, one of us will respond to you immediately. Never drive yourself alone. Stay home for a while so that we can do it easily.
Jai got up and walked slowly. He told Aditya to call Pushkar to get Bani's things home. He looked at Bani, she just locked her eyes with his and looked down. But Jai felt something wrong with her even though she seems to be quiet. He went to her and held his hand out. Bani took it and tried to get up, and almost up in her legs, but suddenly she collapsed into his arms. Jai was holding her with his left free arm while the other was still in slings. Aditya came running. Jai saw patches of blood where she sat and realized what is happening, he looked at Aditya and yelled for someone to get her to the car. Inspector called the ladies wing and they took Bani to Adyta's car. Aditya, Sahil in front and Jai with her head on his lap in the back seat rushed to the hospital.
Hospital emergency's wing corridor, Jai was holding to the wall and was trying hard not to break down. Aditya was trying to console him in vain. He told Aditya that it was all because of him, he is giving her another blow in her life and he don't know how she is going to cope with the truth. Obviously Bani had an abortion.
Aditya arranged Sahil to go and get Rano and Massi while he arranged Puskar to bring Bani's clothes to hospital with the help of Pia. When Rano and Massi came Jai was sitting with his head in hands. Massi went and sat next to him. He suddenly lost all of his control and broke his heart out.
Jai: Massi, why it is me. I will give up anything for her. I want her back Massi. I won't be able live without her, I love her that much. Oh, God, help her, I don't know how she is going to take it when she open her eyes. (he held tightly to her shoulders and kept his head there)
Pia came with Pushkar and started to walk towards Jai in a furious temper while Rano stopped her half way.
Rano: Pia stop there, you will not move a single step forward. I you will move I won't mind you are elder to me, do you hear me?
Pia: Rano, this man…
Rano: Don't you dare to open your mouth here or you will see another side of Rano in your life. Just get lost from here. You told Di not to interfere in your marriage life and now I am asking you just stay away from our lives, do you get it?
She pushed Pia back.
Jai: (with frowns) wait a minute, what did u tell, Pia told her not to interfere? What happened there to tell that. (By this Puskar and Pia looked each other).
Jai: something wrong, tell me Puskar, he went to him.
Puskar: Jai Sir, today Jigyasa mam came to our place, she made a mess there with Pia and Bani saying that they sisters set you up for your money. (he stopped abruptly as if he don't want to say full)
Jai: then?
Puskar: she told Bani seduced you to get a child with the help of drinks and I got a deal with you to share Pia etc.. Please sir, I can't use the words she used, but now that is not a matter. I and Bani didn't know Pia is working for you nor she told us. Then Pia and me had talk and Bani tried to quieten us, that is when Pia told her not to interfere.
Jai: (with a mean look on his fae to Pia) great, well done.
Then he turned to Puskar and patting on his shoulder:
Jai: Puskar, I am very happy that you were there for her when she was in trouble. In fact by taking my bride you helped me out to have a better life. (He looked at Pia and turned his face.) It was not hurting my heart but hurting my ego. But now I am happy that I got a wife because of that, who is the best one in the whole world. I should thank you for saving me.
Jai walked back to sit. Pia stood there as if she got a slap on her face. Then Aditya came and took her in hand and Puskar out and told them what really happened. After hearing this they both stood there with open mouth even not able to react. He told Pushkar to send Pia home if possible because Bani has enough to cope with now, she won't be able to handle the temper if she sees Pia. He then walked back. Puskar had an intense look at his wife and left her there and walked to Jai. Jai raised his head and looked at him. Puskar held an hand on his shoulder. Tears were flowing from his eyes and he sat down near Jai's knee and they both fell into a hug.
Puskar: Jai Sir, God has just tested you and giving back the best life a man can ever dream of. Bani is my best friend, I know her capacity, If she was brave to go to police station to bring out the truth then you can believe she can cope with it and will retain her strength and will lighten your life again. I am sure. We are all praying and God sure will hear us. Please calm down.
Rano brought Jai's medicine which she took from home and a small bottle of water and walked to Jai and gave it. She handed the medicine.
Rano: Mr.Walia you should stay strong for Di, because she is going to looking for you for her strength. Please.
Jai: (with a smile) Thanks Rano, I will be just fine.
Aditya: you are calling him Mr.Walia, why can't you call him mamaji or jiju (with funny face and everybody smiled at his comment which turned Rano flushing like anything else. Even Jai couldn't suppress his smile.)
Doctor came out and stood in front of Jai with some papers in his hands.
Dr: Mr.Walia, your wife's condition is stable now, she lost lots of blood and is very week. She probably will open eyes in an hour time. I would like you to keep her happy instead of talking about and crying in front of her. She called your name many times and nurse will come to call you when she open eyes. BTW, there is a mistake in her data here, the nurse told when Bani left to doctors room she left the husband's column empty, the nurse without know who is she asked the persons name who accompanied her and entered it. No problem, I came to ask shall I correct it.
Jai: (with a look at Puskar's face) offcourse you can., (then turned to Pushkar) is it yours?
Pushkar: I remember the nurse asked what is my name but didn't know for what it is? I was getting a call from office then, so I just walked away from the counter.
Dr. It is O.K. The handwriting is one of the nurses and it obviously not written by Mrs. Walia. Also she had given the name Bani Walia.
Then the doctor gone inside. Everyone started sitting here and there. Then came Jigyasa with a look what the hell all are doing here. She came to Jai.
Jig: Jai Bhaiya, what is wrong, what happened?
Massi: Bani had an abortion.
She stopped and looked at Jai. He was obviously ready to kill Jigyasa. All of a sudden Jigyasa started laughing loudly, keeping her both hands up)
Jig: Hey Bhagavan, you saved my Jai Bhaiya, finally. That head ache is over.
By the time she finished it, the sound of many slaps heard as a series of thunder bolts.. Everyone stood up in shock. Jai was so shivering with anger. None moved or went to help her.
Jai: If you tell another word I will kill you. Do you want to know who seduced whom? Me seduced her if anyone is to be blamed. Because the dirty game you and Roshini played that night to seduce me, thank God, Massi came and exchanged our drinks with each other, so the drugged drink is gone to Bani instead of me. But when she felt uneasiness she came home alone and I arrived after her. It was not seducing, it was the true love. Ohhhh, (as frowning face) do you have any idea the meaning of that word, you bloody bitch. You are a shame for all womanhood. And I will be the worst and these kids will be the second worst to have a sister and mother like you in the whole world. What right do you have as a woman to harass another woman? Do you have a family, a man, if Aditya and Dady was not there who would have taken care of the kids when you roamed around the city with your posh friends.
He stopped for a while, taking breathe. Massi came and touched him but he rejected her hands.
Jai: NO massi, not this time. What didn't I give you. After parents left, I gave you whatever you wanted. You wanted marry a man younger than you, I agreed. Then you want a divorce. I agreed. He is my best friend though. I kept him with me for the sake kids, God Damn it, they need a father too. He is the best father a kid can ever get. Didn't I help you bring up your kids, didn't I gave them good education and living pleasures, didn't I help you to get them married and have a good future with secured careers? What else you want from me? You never allowed me to have my own family. You put your nasty nose whenever I had a relationship. But now it won't work. What you want, my property? If I give you the whole thing to you will you leave me and Bani to live in peace?
Jig: Bhai…
Jai: No, don't call me, that relationship is over. You put the blame of 70 Lakhs which Ranveer stole and put in his British account on Bani's head, since I came to know in time I held the check transactions. I didn't ask you.
He then turned to Sahil and Aditya.
Jai: Do you son and father wanted to know what she really did? She was the one who brought the Mount Abu project for 30 crores from us in a binami's name. (everyone hell shocked) she took 50 crores from me to return it. She stole her own money. When I checked with my lawyers I got my life's biggest shock.
All stood in silence and tears. Jigyasa was like she fell into a dirty pitch. Ranveer who came and stood on the door heard everything and started to walk towards his mother.
Jai : (with stern look in his eyes) no, don't put a step ahead. (Ranveer stopped with unbelievable look. None had seen Jai in such anger even though he was short tempered. He never behaved to his sister like that)
Jai: now I took my life's best decision. After this moment, she or Ranveer, are not going to enter any of Walia premises or my home. I have given orders to all security posts. (turning to Jigyasa)
Jai: you are under home arrest in the outhouse for a week. You are not permitted to call or get call or go out to meet anyone or allow to meet you. Police had already posted there. If you and Ranveer don't want to end up in the jail live there for a week till your visa ready to go to London. Never ever come in front of me, you both. You are removed from the all responsibilities, which is now on going to be taken care by Aditya and Sahil. You have crores in your accounts.
Jai : (turned to Sahil) do you want to stay with me and your father or want to go with your mom?
Sahil: I want to be with dad and you, mamaji.
Jigyasa: Sahi…
Sahil: Don't ever dare to call me. I don't want to see you in my life. This much shame and pain no another woman can give to their own kids. Just get lost.
Jai: So, that is it.
The inspector came.
Ins: Mr. Walia, I think I have a good clue to whom I should turn now. But before that I would like to have a word with you. The person who left the saree with the courier was caught by our men here near Aditya's car. (everyone shocked and looked at each other)
Ins: He was obviously trying to drop a piece of paper on the bonnet under the wiper. He agreed that he is the one who dropped the saree. It was the same handwriting and one of our men recognized it. The funny important part is that this guy was taking this note from Mr.Ranveer , your nephew, just before he entered this compound a few minutes back, one of our men was standing near him. He thought it might some Walia driver and is going to get something from shops, but then he suddenly recognized the paper and it was the same paper with saree. On questioning the guy agreed and I am here to take Mr.Ranveer in custody. Also as I talked to you your sister also should come with us.
Jai stood there in shock without able to believe those words which he heard just now. Ranveer want to kill me!!!!!!!!!. He thought. He looked at him and the inspector. He nodded his head and inspector took Ranveer by hand and lady police came and took Jigyasa with them.
Jai gone and sat there in the chair. He was struggling with his emotions. He was thinking within this short time …whatever truths had been revealed… which his own people with whom he lived played on his back. He took a deep breathe.
Suddenly the nurse came running calling his name and asked to follow her. He ran after her only to see Bani screaming and shouting in the bed pulling out all the trips tubes and all.
Bani: no..no noooo never. It is not true. My baby… where is Mr. Walia, I want to see him now, what I will tell him… ohhh God, no..no one come to me… (with tears flowing from her eyes, Jai could only stood still near the door and watch. He slowly walked to her. She looked up to his eyes clutching her hands on her stomach.)
Bani: Mr. Walia, they are telling lies, our baby is right here (showing her stomach), I know it is there, they are lying. (she started crying uncontrollably, Jai bent down and wrapped his free arm around her neck and kept her head to his chest )
Jai: shhhhhh, it is ok, please calm down my sweat heart. Everything will be fine. Just listen to me. You have to accept the truth. I don't want anything, nothing matter to me than you Bani.(his eyes filled with tears and he said in the most soft sound in the world in her ears for the first time) I love you Bani, I love you so much. You come back healthy, you can have many kids. Please let them do the job. We came here after you collapsed in the police station, do you remember?.
He slowly released and took her face in hand and looked into the eyes. She looked into his eyes as if she realized the whole thing. She wrapped her arms around his waste and kept her head on his stomach. He thought, OMG, why did you harm my one arm when I needed my both arms very much to take her and protect her within my arms. As if she understood his pain she looked up and just touched his arm in sling. She looked into his eyes. He smiled at her, and planted a kiss on her forehead. She blushed a bit and looked down.
Doctor came near to her with all others in the theatre with relieving sigh.
Dr. Mr. Walia, I have not met a person like her in my whole life. She was so strong. She worried about what she is going to tell you about the baby. She was really out of control, My God. (turning to Bani). You took my breathe away young lady. Well, now, listen to me carefully. This abortion is not his fault not your fault, even if it didn't happen it now it would have happened in the near future. Because the baby was not developed its internal organs and it will be difficult if the baby born with such problems. We would be forced to remove it in the fifth or next month. So basically it is better that your strain has reduced. You are young. After a years gap you can have next baby, a healthy baby.
Jai smiled at Bani from behind of doctor and she gave that smile back. Doctor helped her to lie down.
Dr. : Now let us do the job, you are week and lost lots of blood. You need to rest till you be able to walk. (turning to Jai)Mr.Walia if you want you can go and rest in the guest room, we will inform you when she is shifted to the ward.
But Bani with a pleading eyes looked at him, made a sound like hmmmmm, but the words didn't come out. Oh she is still don't feel that freedom to mingle with him, but he understood and came forward.
Jai: Don't worry Bani, I will be here, you just relax. (she gave a look of thanks to him with a child like smile)
Bani slept with his hand inside her hands and doctor came in with inspector.
He stood up.
Dr. : Mr. Walia, we were discussing a matter and came to get an advice from you. You know you are the patron of this hospital and you have privileged access to all of our departments. We have two rooms, suit model, in the second floor. It is meant for VIPs and I think I will shift your wife into one of them there. There is tight security, entry is only for permitted, the other room you can have someone with you, since you have a arm in sling. What do you say?
Jai: that is fantastic, money is not a matter. I need safety.
Ins: what Mr.Walia, your 50 lakh donation is the bone of the hospital and if they don't give you this much help back then..
Keeping his hand in a stopping manner
Jai: Please, I did donate, but that is nothing to concern now. We have a speciality hospital here. Now how long we need to be here?
Ins: I think Mr.Walia you staying here with your wife will make us do all the security actions more easily. So till the visa your nephew gets I wish you could stay here without much trouble. They will arrange the food and all.
Dr.: Anyway you have to keep your wife here minimum three days. She won't be able to move around before that. If she does then it will just upon her will power, in most cases she won't. then another two more days. What you say?
Jai: fine, then proceed with it, and keep it secret as long as possible.
Ins: yes, Mr.Walia, our men are here and in under cover. So you don't have to worry about it. The men I have appointed here is the most reliable and skilled men. The entry to the floor will be controlled by our men. They and the hospital security is working together.
Dr.: BTW, Mr. Walia, you should have a early follow up for your arm, if the arm is ready to move then they will start to give you a therapic sessions which will improve the mobility.
Jai: That is fine, since I am here that is a good idea.
Ins: O.K., then let them shift her to the room.
Dr. : I will be nearby always, Mr. Walia, we will do our best to cooperate with you.
Jai: thank you.
They gone out of the room and Jai turned to look at his wife, who was watching all these from her bed quietly. He was surprised to see her awake.
Jai: Hey, you are awake so fast!!! My God, these medicines are not enough to take your spirit away, I think.
Bani: (without loosing the concerned look, as usual her Sherlock holms lady) asked him, is anything serious? Did they find someone?
Jai: Banee, stop it now. You are too much… if there is something wrong I will tell you. Do you think I will sit here quietly if there is such a serious matter is going on.

She felt suddenly an uneasiness for she never been alone with him so close and for that matter they were just not a normal couple she felt a friction developing between them. But Jai was also aware of that. He took her hand in his and told her
Jai: see, Bani, I want you to feel free to talk and mingle with me. Why you are restraining too much? Don't you know that no one in this world is close to me like you and no one is not going to. As much as I am concerned this is a second birth for me, that you gifted.
She pressed his hand a little with her other hand. She took his hand to her stomach and looked into his eyes
Bani: did you see its movements recorded? (stunned with her question and a guilty look in his face, but suddenly a pull happened inside his stomach of that pain)
Jai: Yes, I saw it moving… moving … it never stopped moving… (with naughty look on his face) well next time if he is going to trouble you like this I will ask the doctor to give him an injection to sleep on his buttock. (Bani laughed at this and turned her face to hide it under his hand.)
Doctor came in with assistants. They stood shocked to see her awake so soon.
Dr. : Mrs.Walia, you are awake. You are supposed to sleep through next one more hour. He shrugged to Jai in a helpless manner for which Jai give a nod.
Dr. Mr.Walia you please proceed to the room we are doing the shifting now.
Jai looked at Bani for a second and quietly left the room.
Outside everyone got up seeing him.
Massi : how is bahu?
Jai: she is perfectly ok. Nothing to worry about. But she really screamed the doctor and nurses out the theatre at first. Now everything is under control.
Every one made a happy sigh of relief. Bani is shifted to the room.
Massi entered the room, she was smiling with tears in eyes. Bani tried to compose herself and keep looking quietly everyone. But when Massi entered she lost her control, she turned her face to the other side of the bed and started struggling with trembling lips and tears flowing like two streams. Massi went to her bed side and took her hand inside hers.
Massi: Bani, don't cry beti, you are so young. Bhagavan had decided not to bring an unhealthy child to this world through you. Please try to believe that.
Bani's weeping was up and down as it was obvious that she was trying hard. This is a Bani whom not usually seen openly. She never expressed her pain. Jai turned his face to the wall and closed his eyes tight. He was unable to see Bani going through this much strain. He suddenly turned back walked out of the room. All understood that he is controlling his pain. Bani looked the way he gone and wiped her eyes.
Bani: Massi, please tell Mr.Walia, I won't cry anymore, tell him not to worry, his pressure will go up, please Massi.
Massi: Ok, beta, I will tell him. You just relax. Ok
Bani: ok
Massi went out to Jai and she and Jai talked for a while.
Massi, Anu, Rohit went home, Aditya was already gone to do so many things Jai wanted him to do. Sahil and Rano decided to stay back.
Rano went and sat near Bani, Bani smiled at her
Bani: how your work is going on?
Rano: I am learning Di.
They both looked at Sahil, he smiled at them. He came near to Bani.
Sahil: Mami, she got a better brain than me, I passed my exams just because of her, she helps me to learn in job too.
Bani smiled at him and pressed Rano's hand.
Bani: you both should make a team rather than working separately. Separate work will lead to many problems, if you do it together then both will be in full understanding. (looking away from Rano) As Pia reminded me, I am no one to interfere in your marriage, but I just told. (Jai entered and stopped in the door hearing this). She is right. You are married and you are ready to pull your life together without me. I am so much relieved in that fact.
Rano: Di, I am not Pia, but I also caused pain to you, but we need your advice always in our life. (she looked at Sahil and he came close to Bani)
Sahil: Mami, you are like a mother figure to Rano and I also feel the same with you. I only wish you get well fast bring light to our home again. We miss you there very much. You were there in every corner of the house to everyone's need. We in fact failed to understand the real value… (by this time Jai came close and put a hand over his shoulder and kept him close to his chest.)
Jai: She will be the light of our house again, Sahil. We all need her to move on.
He planted a kiss on his forehead. Gave a pat to Rano's shoulder too. They looked surprised at each other, even Bani too seeing the change in Jai.
Sahil: wow, Mami, you have some special ability with you to make some lion to a lovely puppy (Jai made a frowning face to him) BTW, Jai uncle you should take some rest now, you are wearing out now. We will keep company to mami, you just take little rest (pointing to the other bed in the room)
Jai: alright then, call me if you need anything.
With a funny smile on her face:
Bani: Sahil, will you help your mamaji to remove his scarf from around his neck, tell him the coat is not there. (she turned to the other side of the bed and suppressed her laugh)
Jai halted on half way and looked back at his wife in surprise
Jai: what!!!!!!, my quiet wife started making fun of me, see.. (Bani still looking to the other side of the bed as if she didn't hear anything, he smiled and went to the bed and lied down, off course he removed his scarf for sure, Rano took it hung on the closet hanger)
Bani: I think I will also will sleep for sometime. You also relax. Sahil, is it possible to get something to read, if you are going out at any time. Newspaper or something.
Sahil: sure mami, then we will make a round and come. Is it ok?
Bani: fine.
She closed her eyes. Sahil and Rano went out. In between she opened her eyes only to see Jai is lying looking at her. She felt as if some ice cold water poured on her. But she tried to compose herself fast. He understood it too.
Jai: when I look at you I feel like I am a cradle snatcher.
He had that most attractive smile on his face, and she just looked away from his face, her face gone red. She was not able to stand that intense look anymore. He got up from the bed and came to her and sat on her side .
Jai: Bani
Bani was still not able to look into his eyes. This is a different Jai Walia in front of her. With all his natural reservations he peeled the mask of a roaring tiger in front of his wife. Bani was sure that she is going to see this face forever and still she is unable to peel her mask of a scared deer in front of him.
He placed his hand on the other side of her and slightly covering her with his body bent down, he planted a soft kiss on her forehead. She closed her eyes. But suddenly her eyes filled with tears and she didn't open her eyes. She got up slightly into a sitting position. Her forehead touching his and they could hear the other's breathe properly. He slowly press her to his chest while she clutched her hands on his chest , then wrapped in a most hesitant way. He held his breathe on this marvelous feeling of her hands around him. He murmured into her ears. "I still can't believe I got you back". She closed her eyes and told into his chest "I am right here back home, but my home is here, right here." She touched his chest. He replied "I know, sweat heart, I know, and it is yours always and only yours forever". She give a soft kiss on his chest, he closed his eyes in its effect, a shiver is passed through his spinal chord, for the first she ever dared/able to do it and closed her eyes tightly after that with shyness and embarrassment. Jai understood her difficulty to do something so freely with him. He slowly pushed her back and looked into her eyes, he is now lying on his elbow across her lap, his head is just down her face. He asked her slowly "silly girl, for long time you are attracting me to your side with this beautiful eyes, like a fly is being attracted to the lamp. I was trying hard not to crush you in my arms for a long time." She looked into his eyes. He placed his head on her stomach slowly and placed a kiss there which made her to hold her breathe for a second. She slowly placed another kiss on his hair wrapping him with her hands. She said softly "I am sorry, I am sorry for hurting you by saying those words, but I could never hate you, I loved you all along, but couldn't realize it till it struck that you are in real danger and going to loose you". He suddenly straightens up and seriously looked into her eyes.
Jai: look Bani, you should stop thinking about it now. It was nothing in our control. It happened. And whatever happened is for good. Now you made me a man who can live without guilt. So the benefit of going through all these for both of us, that we can live together with our heart open to each other in its fullness.
He took her chin up again and looked into her eyes, "we love each other and that is matter now, do u here me", he faked a tone of his old days. She break into laughter seeing it and said "that face will not fit you now!!!!!!" he made a mean face to her. There eyes started locking into each others and look fell into lips , then slowly he pulled her close and took her lips into his. The world was spinning for her with effect of that, for the first time in life while they are in their full consciousness. She hid her face on his chest once more. He straighten again and push her slowly to the bed, and covered her with the blanket properly and got up.
Jai: now sleep well, no more strain (with a blinking eyes, she blushed and looked away)
He walked back to the bed slowly and lied down closing his eyes. He knows that if he lying there with open eyes she is not going to get any rest in the near time. She also closed her eyes determined not to be so self-conscious about his presence. She tried to think it is her own Jai and she has the right to be free with him and enjoy his presence.)
One week over, Jigyasa and Ranveer left India and Roshini is facing the case for blackmailing Mr.Walia and under on bail.
Jai, Bani and Rano came inside the house. Massi showed the arati. Jai wrapped his hand around his wife knowing that she is going to break at any time seeing the house. But she took ashirvad from Massi, Dadi, Aditya then Massi took Jai and Bani to the pooja and asked Jai to put sindhoor on her forehead. Tears welled up in Bani's eyes and she just kept her head down, while struggling hard to control her breathing with a trembling lips. Jai put the sindhoor. She suddenly touched his feet before he could stop her. He was stunned while Massi had a smile as if "see my Bahu". Jai held her tight for a second and turned and his eyes were also over flowing. Aditya smiled at him and give a hug to him. Massi took Bani to Jai.
Massi: Munna, you take Bani up and get fresh up. I will call you while lunch is ready. She is coming from hospital and she should change.
Jai: Ji, massi.
He held his hand towards her and she took it. On the way up he wrapped her with his hand. His hand was down from the sling now and after a weeks therapy now he is able to move his hand freely. His wound is healed almost leaving a dark pit on him.
They entered the room, he opened and kept the door open for her. She just stepped inside and stood there unbelievably. She never thought she could come back there once more. She lost her last control she hardly held and broke uncontrollably. Jai knew it is going to happen. He held her from back and told her "my sweet sweet silly girl, you are back here, is it for that you are crying?". She suddenly turned to him and clutched to his shirt front and placed her head on his chest. He wrapped his hands around her and pressed closely to him. They enjoyed the blissful feeling of love by staying like that for while.
She wrapped her hands around him. She mumbled on his chest as a small kid "why didn't you tell me that before I go? If had you had told that to me I wouldn't have gone away!!!!". Jai, for a second stunned and asked her now what? What didn't I tell you which would have stopped you? She told "yeah, you told to that to Massi, Aditya uncle and Rano , hmmmmm… but didn't tell me..?" now Jai understood what was that. He told her "Baneeeee, I know my heart told you that silently over these past so many weeks and I know you knew it. Are you denying me that you didn't know that I love you so much?" she tightened her arms around him and told "hmmmmmmmm, I know".
She got away from him and looking for her dress. She went to bathroom and got changed and came back to see Jai standing near the window where she was standing that night. OMG, a shiver passed through her body. She walked towards him, she was still patting her wet hair with a towel. In a beautiful pick saree, Jai couldn't take his eyes from her. He approached her, but she stopped and pointed to the bathroom. He smiled and walked to the bathroom with the dress she kept on the bed.
When he came out she was sitting in the dresser chair and keeping her bangles in hands. He saw the mobile on the dresser and understood she made a call. He asked her "what is that troubling you now? Won't you tell me?" She looked into his eyes " I was trying to get something very important which I lost by my own mistake" He understood she is thinking of the Kangans she gave to Seema. "It is ok, she will bring it back after copying it, don't worry." She just nodded her head, but he knows the eyes are full. He turned her towards him, "look there lots of small things are there that we did as mistakes, don't try to ponder it out, let us start a new life" she smiled at him. She wore the bangles and he as always waited to tie her dori and this time placed a kiss on her back too. He could see her breathing got irregular and tighten her fingers crossed. He told in her ears, "come on, it is ok, you should express yourself instead of suppressing it." She is as if caught red handed all blushed.
They heard Massi calling and both walked down. Everyone was there looking at them with a pleasant smile. Everything seemed to be bright and wonderful. They talked/ teased each other, even Rano seems to be easily accommodated herself in to the grew. She was pulling Anu's leg. Raashi kept smiling all the time. She sat with Massi and Dadi.
After dinner everybody sat on the sitting area. Bani hesitated one moment, as she never included in the chatting group of walia family during this after meal conversation. She stayed back enquiring Tony's and other staff's well being and started to walk into kitchen slowly. Massi eyed Jai, but Jai had already noticed her withdrawal. Bani went to kitchen and talked to each of them. Helped them a little by putting the clothes properly and all. She asked Tony whether he could try her recipes again. Suddenly Tony stood in alert, and Bani couldn't understand what was going on. She turned round to see herself and saw Jai standing on the door putting his hands on the both sides of the door.
Jai: you escaped us as usual isn't it Bani?
Bani: what?
Jai: you always avoided the get together there and came as if you are doing something here, now come on, this is the rule of our family that every evening we spent some time together after dinner.
Bani walked out of kitchen and Jai followed. Jai told Tony not to forget to keep hot water for Bani to drink. Bani made a mean face to him as if "you doing my job". He smiled. He told in her ears in a low voice "it is my need now to get my wife's health back, isn't it?" she gave a look through the sides of her eyes.
For a while everybody seems to be discussing a lots of things. Aditya told Sahil that Rano is really brilliant and why can't she continue her study, she can get into a good position. Jai supported him. He told Sahil that she can attend some foreign correspondence or even full time class, and still she can work for few hours with him if necessary. Sahil told let her decide. Rano told then "not this year, let Di get well, and Anu's delivery and at home someone should be there in hand". Aditya told "wow, what a foreseeing, thank you my dear. That is correct and I leave it to you."
Jai looked to Bani with a smile and she just looked at Rano with an affectionate look.
Bani came out of the bathroom, and looked for Jai. He was not there. She walked into the study. She was stunned to see his study. Every where her big big blowups are placed. All old antique works are removed. It is only she there. Jai was sitting on the coach closing his eyes. She came and sat near him.
Bani: Mr. Walia, is everything is OK? Why are you so upset so suddenly?
Jai just got up and didn't say anything and took by her shoulder and walked back to the room. He told her that he just sat like that there, nothing else.
She gave his medicine. Jai took the night dress and walked to the bathroom. Bani went to the window, the curtain is the same as of that day. It is "ecstatic" she thought to herself.
Jai came out of bathroom and saw Bani standing near the window. He remembered the other day. She looks so beautiful. He thought he wasted a life long, with her so close but kept away. He walked towards her, on the way he switched on the music. A slow one was running.
He came close and held her from behind. He murmured in her ears "do you have any idea that your this smell is the most wonderful thing I ever felt in my life. And this warmth of you on my chest, it is purely heavenly, Bani" she closed her eyes. She knew a current wave is passing through her body.
He made a round and stood in front of her. She closed her eyes and kept her head down. He asked "still not able to come to me in your own way Bani?" she started saying something… "ufff Mr. Walia, …" he stopped her half way and asked, "are you keeping me at bay again by calling me Mr.Walia and decided never come close? Why can't call me Jai, simply Jai, Bani please don't keep this distance, it is unbearable for me."
She just wrapped her hands around him and kept her face on the open part of his night gown. A groan escaped him on the pleasure of her face touching his body. He asked her again, "can't you call?, try once, please" she was like "ji, you are too elder than me, I can't call you by name, that is not fair?" he is "Bani, you don't have to call me in front of others, but can't you call me Jai between us?" "please"… "try once, it will take all the reservations away from you." She silent for a while, he pressed her to him more and more, then she , in a feeble broken sound, "jiiii,.......... Jai" he was like OMG, it was the most beautiful sound he ever heard. He, "do you know Bani, when that sound coming out from your lips it make me confident that I live inside you, please , it is the best day in my life, thank God." Bani took her head and looked at him. She was stunned to see the tears in his eyes. She took her hands and went on to tip toe to place a kiss on his both eyes. He too did the same because the other pair of eyes also was wet.
Their eyes locked and the looks fell again to the lips, he slowly covered her upper lip with his and again and again, it was a inventions of each others hidden pleasures.. he slowly placed his hands on her shoulder, looked again into her eyes and asked , "are you ready for it, I can wait for any long until you feel well", she told she is just fine. He put his hands through her hair and brings her close and they were on their way to their own heaven. They continue their adventurous and most excited tour of valleys and hills, deserts and inland seas everything on their way and its sides.
Later in bed Jai asked her "Bani, listen, I want you to keep your eyes open, I want to see myself in your eyes and you should see yourself in my eyes, please don't close". We are going to have our best – first moments in our life, I want to see you and your feelings… after a while …. she was like "ohh, Jai, it is so marvelous, I never knew it is so wonderful" he smiled at her words, he held her to his chest in exhaustion and they both tried hard to steady their breathing. He, "Bani, did I hurt you? Are you alright? " she hiding in his chest, "I am just fine, how about you? Did I disappoint you?", "God Bani, it was the most wonderful moments in my life, how can you ever disappoint me darling?." He fell back on his back and pulled her over him, keeping her head on his chest…. Thus they spent their night in their own heaven.
The Walia industries and their on going projects are looking after by Aditya and Sahil, while their office front is led by Bani, Rano, Anu and Raashi. The most important incident happened is that Jai called Puskar back to take over the important position he was carrying and the young team is giving enough rest to Jai to relax.
After Ranveer left Raashi was seemed to be unaffected for everyone's surprise. Later only she told them that their marriage was a fake one just to save Anu's marriage. Jai was shocked to death to know another marriage happened like this under the same roof. He got her divorce from Ranveer and kept her home as his own daughter. She denied to go home with Ran Vijay after hearing what he and Roshini had done to Bani's mother, she really suspected it is her father who killed that lady. But she kept quiet. She told this only to Aditya and Jai and asked them to keep quiet on this and support her to stay in a hostel or here. They told her there is no way they will let her to stay in a hostel. She took post in the office and going and coming together with Aditya. Rohit also refused to make any contact with his father and aunty, he strictly told them to stay away from him and Anu. His mother becomes a rare visitor to Walia Mansion though. She is not so acceptable to them also, but they didn't want hurt her much. Moreover it was his father and his sister who made her life hell and she had no choice other than to escape from them.
Bani decided to continue to work on the projects. She took care of Anu on their routine visits to hospital while Rohit is away with his work. Pia was allowed only in important get-togetherings of the household as Bani is still not reconciling with her. She told Jai that, I will never forgive her for the way she insulted her husband. He is not only her husband, but was my best friend. My best friend is insulted by my own sister that too that young man who gave up every prosperous possessions he could have enjoyed being with you for her. No way someone like Pia can get back a place in my heart. She should learn the values. Not only that, she is easily tempted and will try her worst to get what she want. Jai understood her well, and left her decision to herself.
Part 2
It was evening around 6.30, Rano crying; standing in the corridor talking with Massi, Sahil and Aditya. They are trying to console her. But she is not listening at all. Suddenly Pia, as if right out of blue came in and they were as if oh ..everything finished. .kind expressions. Rano pushed everyone away and ran down.
Pia: Di, Di
Rano: Stop there, what the hell are you doing here?
Pia: I came to see Di, not you, (again loudly) Di
Rano: Your Di, who is your Di? Don't you see that she is just recovering from her bad health, you won't allow her to live in peace, isn't it?
Pia: (not listening at all) Di
Aditya was calling Pushkar, Massi and Sahil came down. Standing like they are trapped in terrorist plot.
Rano: If you shout once more I will call the police now. Did you remember her when you agreed to marry Mr. Walia and then tricked him with Pushkar putting Di in hell, Did you remember when you joined our company without her knowing, greedy pig..? you even didn't remember her when…
Suddenly Bani came down and followed by Jai hearing the sound. She saw Pia and looked at Jai, Jai shrugged his shoulder. Bani came down and stood near Massi, didn't tell a word. Pia came forward, Rano again stood in front of her…
Pia: Di, pls, I left Pushkar for ever, I can't live with him, pls Di, I want to stay with you here.
Without no expression on her face , surprising all others, even Rano, because she was the kindest person anyone ever knows till then)
Bani: this is our house, here you got none as relatives, and Rano or me are not your sisters too. You just leave, I don't want you to disturb our lives.
Pia: Di…
Bani: (kept hand stopping action) not a single word , just leave this place before I …
Pushkar came in, looked as if sick and bed ridden for years… he came and stood in front of Pia. She turned her face away.
Pushkar: why do you want to destroy their lives too… what the hell you want?
Pia: I don't want to talk to you.
Pushkar: ohhh, when did you start feeling that thing..?
Pia: you… you are a under confident man, a good for nothing, look at him (pointing to Jai) he is the same man I left for you who can give me a world of luxury and happiness. Because of you I lost everything… don't you feel shame…to stand in front of me like this… what do you have…
Before she finish it Bani came close, Pia didn't notice it in anger, from side, she pulled her and twice, yes twice Bani's hands on Pia's face… Pia stood stunned choked the words what she was about to say… Bani was a sight for others…
Bani: I told you to leave now, just leave… before I do something very bad for you.. to remember for ever
Pia: Di…
Bani: shhhhh, I am not your Di, just leave. I had enough of loving my family and living for them. You all have given enough to me to remember the whole life… now just leave…
Bani started to hold her head with her two hands, Jai came close and hold her shoulder…
Jai: Bani, relax… we can talk and decide…
Bani: no, no more talk…
Pushkar: talking to her, are you crazy… see this (he took a folded paper from his pocket an gave to Jai)
He read it and Bani too, Jai couldn't blink his eyes, unbelievably he looked at Pushkar, who by the time was approached by Aditya and held by him tightly. He looked at Jai and nodded his head in helpless manner. Bani left Jai, slowly and walked towards the sofa and sat there.
Aditya: Pushkar called Rano and told this, she aborted his…
Pushkar for first time uncontrollably cried and went to Bani
Pushkar: don't you know how much I cared for her, you are my best friend, tell me how much I should take it thinking she is immature etc etc
Bani just sat there as if frozen…. Pushkar turned to Pia
Pushkar: This moment we are separated , we have no life together… just leave now. I gave so much pain to a man who was more than a father figure to me. And now I am giving the same pain to my best friend too. This is enough. I won't allow you to destroy them any more.
Pia: who the hell are you to tell me to what to do… I will show you what… I will get the thing I wanted in my life at any cost
By this she looked at Jai, everyone followed her eyes and understood what she meant. Jai was standing there in such a shock seeing and hearing all these. Bani hearing this closed her ears with her two hands…Massi suddenly came and sat near her and held her tightly to her. Jai slowly moved forward to Pia, stopped near Pushkar, and hold his shoulder and squeezed a little.
Jai: Aditya, you take Pushkar to our guest room, he is going to stay there for a while.
Jai: Tony, call the security and ask him to send a taxi inside. Put these bags and her inside taxi and send away. Haan, send someone to pick up Pushkar's things from his flat. He is not going there anymore.
Turned to Pia,
Jai: you can stay in the same place till this month end, I will pay the rent, if you want or you can go wherever you want. Sahil, call the office ask them to cancel her employment contract with immediate effect and clear all the dues and leave the money in her place wherever she want. (again turned to Pia) By the month end find a place and move or you pay the rent yourself.
Pia: But you can't sack me like that…
Jai: Ohhh, I see, (with sarcastic expression) let me see what will happen if I do… haan…. One more thing… if I learn you trouble Bani or Rano then you will regret for it without no time… Also from this moment never try to enter any of the Walia premises in the world, if you do think from there you will go directly to jail for tress passing.
Tony came and took her bags, she followed him with a raging look, she might never have thought of Bani like this. Jai turned to look at her who was sitting even unable to cry loudly. Bani understood Pia left and looked up to Massi's face
Bani: Massi, did you hear what she told? That she will get anything she wanted at any cost..!!!!! Massi, I just started to live my life. Again I have to live in fear for rest of my life.. isn't it? What ever I did Massi to God to give me a life like this..?
Bani got up slowly and ran fast upstairs.
Massi looked up to Jai and he obviously hurt by Bani's distrust(he thought) on him, turned back and walked up. When he reached their room Bani was lying in the bed with closed eyes. He walked to the study.
Bani woke up after about an hour and tried to recollect the whole episode. She searched around, no sign of Jai anywhere. She went out and looked down to the hall, he is not there too. Bani walked back and went to his study. There he was with a glass and bottle obviously was drinking and sleeping in the sofa. He didn't drink even once after the abortion and even in parties. She went and stood behind him, put her hands on his both cheeks and massaged little up to his forehead. He just stirred. She kept her cheek on his forehead and put her one hand inside his shirt to keep it above his heart. He kept a hand over hers and stirred again.
Bani: I am sorry, suniye, I am really sorry.
She walked around and sat near him, still he didn't open his eyes. She kept her head on his shoulder, no response. She understood clearly she hurt him and made him angry. Otherwise he wouldn't have touched the drink. She got up , she felt her head is spinning, she held it with her two hands… she walked out and near the steps she put her leg down the next step and collapsed to the steps, rolling down all steps and landed the ground. Everyone sitting in the coaches jumped and reached her. She was unconscious. Aditya called Tony to call Jai. Rano went to fetch the water and sprinkled on her face. She all went blue in colour. Aditya suddenly got alerted and took her in hands and ran out to the car. He asked Sahil to come, Massi and Rano also walked out. They took her to emergency and she is taken by the doctor to ICU.
Tony tried in vain to wake Jai up and gave up. After around 1 and half hours Jai woke up. He went to slowly, didn't see Bani in bed, called Bani loudly. Tony came in and told him what happened. He got struck in the thought that he again put Bani in pain. He had a vague recollections of her coming and putting her hand over his heart and something she told… not clear… He rushed to the hospital. Aditya was standing in the corridor. He told Jai doctor asked him many times , but he told him he is at job and will reach any time. He walked to the doctors room.
Dr. : Mr.Walia, please take your seat.
Jai: Thank you.
Jai: how is she, what happened?
Dr. : that I should ask you!!! I have told you she is very week, she won't be able to take stress or strain. Need extra caring… she had a very low pressure level, anemic and exhausted. She is on oxygen now. She is ok now but if this is going to happen again she is in great risk.
He a while looked at Jai's face who was sitting with his hand over his lips.
Dr. : what happened exactly today, Aditya was reserved to say anything, also I didn't feel fair to ask him then. What made her to collapse? Any shocking news..? I am sorry, I asked because I need to know the patience body nature to make the treatment effective.
Jai: it is ok.
He explained the events in brief and generally and then how he remember her coming in study but couldn't respond because of fell asleep…etc Doctor sighed heavily. Sat a minute in silence.
Dr. see Mr. Walia, I don't have to repeat all again. You can take her home now, she is stable. Why can't you take her away for a while. A change, except to sea shores, she may easily caught infections on the sea shore in this condition.
Jai: when can I take her?
Dr.: anytime you wish. If you need, take rest at home for a day or two.
Jai: ok, doctor, thank you, can I see her?
Dr. she was asking you, I just saved the situation saying now I can't allow anyone to come in, because she is not stable etc etc…just follow me. I know you are the best effective medicine for her.
Jai was thinking, yes at times I was the worst medicine too for her. Bani was lying with oxygen mask, seeing her he had a catch in his stomach. He know his eyes are wet already, but tried not to let it flow out. Doctor asked assistants to remove all and set her free. They left the room leaving the two alone. He went and stood silently near her and looked into her eyes. Still blue tanned and pale face, with a week smile and tired eyes, she looked like ghost of all time energetic Bani. He took her hand pressed slightly. He dreaded this condition of Bani to which she gone back to the time after marriage, no expressions, just that look which spoke volumes. He sat near her.
Bani: I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you.
Jai: Bani, I am not sure how I make it clear to you, honey. See, I am not an open waste land anyone can come and have built their home at any time. I really don't know how to make you to trust me.
He kept his dead down. Now it is she who got shocked. OMG God, she understood that he took it the other way around. She slowly sat up and put her arms around his neck and told.
Bani: I didn't doubt you at all. I was thinking Pia is going to hurt you again. I had seen your pain after she left you. I am unable to see it again. I know she is a rude one and no one can stop her from saying or doing things.
Jai: what did you say? But you said to Massi..?
Bani: haan, I said to Massi, but it is about Pia hurting you again not she taking you away from me.
Jai just hold her tight and closed his eyes and thought how he underestimated his little woman.
Jai: shall we go home now?
Bani: Ok
She got up slowly and walked out. In the doctors room doctor explained the vulnerability of the case and how to tackle the situation, without reaching a permanent weakness. Jai agreed he will take care of her.
At home night after dinner Jai told Aditya that they are going to their Darjeeling hotel for 10 days. Keep it off the record from every outsiders. Have a booking for next day flight. He also told him that send Pushkar, Sahil and Rano to Goa, Pushkar and Rano will be free from Pia for while.
At night, Bani came out from changing room in a two piece mesmerizing light pink night dress. Jai looked at her a while and nodded his head with appreciation and gone to change himself. He came back in his usual night gown. Bani looked at him a while and a naughty expression filled her face. She climbed on the bed and stood on top of it with her two hands on her hip.
Bani: do you think that you are sleeping near ….. a kind, made of ice cubes..?
Jai: (as if something unexpected heard) what??
Bani: haan, I said I am not made of ice
Jai: why?
Bani: you are sleeping with this mattress on you ever since I saw you. I felt like you considered me as an ice made something and want this to heat you up. (with a funny look) I feel like I am sleeping with a roaring lion too.
He burst into a laughter hearing this. She made a step backward when he came to catch her.
Jai: are you making fun of me? I will screw your ear now.
Bani: wait a minute. (now looking like someone who is taking a class in the class room, with keeping the chin up). Did you ever read that, new born babies are let to sleep on its fathers or mothers bare chest to get them more close to its parents. The baby can recognize its fathers or mothers body temperature, breathing nature etc etc. Even in sleep the baby can recognize whether it is its father or mother when someone touch him. Did you at least hear it?
Still with that preaching pose,,, he again started moving, but she again stopped with a raised hand…
Bani: wait, like that wives also should be allowed to lie down experiencing their husbands body warmth…
Jai laughing laughing to his stomach seeing her actions and she also about to burst into laughter…
Bani: I completely disapprove and disagree to lie with a roaring lion…
By this time he caught her, and pulled her down to a sitting position and caught her ears..
Bani: oooouch, ..hey this is a democratic country, we have freedom to talk, isn't it.?
Bani jumped down and walked a little away and again stood there, Jai started to sit straight with frowns and looked at her.
Bani: if I remember, those days after my marriage, if I ever had dared to ask :"Mr. Walia, isn't it better you sleep in a little more soft dress?" and this Mr. Walia, in his own style back to me, standing like this (she is acting as if he was doing) will give a stern look with gritting teeth. If by the time I couldn't reach the bathroom running from there, he would have to shout "Tony" in his top of voice and ask him to clean the floor where I ……..
Jai laughed and rolled into the bed and he was like what the hell this small woman kid have become of me… OMG when almost he stopped the laughing, she slowly came near and sat in his back and hanging over his back putting her hands around neck and started pulling the knot of his night gown. He pulled her into his lap and removed it himself. Then rolled into the bed along with her. Both lied in exhaustion for a while looking up onto the ceiling, he had tears in his eyes. He know she is trying to enlighten him by joking.. but he never thought she is so energetic and witty, the total opposite of what she was in that house ever since she came there, reserved, silent, cool…etc he couldn't believe what just he saw. He slowly pulled her near into the arch of his hands and planted a kiss on her forehead.
He pulled over the bed sheet over them.
Jai: I never thought you are sooooooooo witty, that too can make fun of me…
Bani: (keeping her face on the open of his chest, and nuzzling through the hair with nose) hmmmmm, I am l e r ni ng (read like that)….
Jai: why didn't you tell this till now to me, I mean at least after our reunion..
Bani: I told you I needed the health to run into the bathroom…. (he again burst into the laughter and held her to the chest tightly)
Jai: no, you don't have to run, you can tell me anything at any time….
Bani: hmmm, I know
He also felt he wasted her nearness by wearing that heavy clothe on him. He felt so close and warm with her and they both slept into their own heaven where they float float and float happily.
Comment: When I am thinking of telling Mr. Walia about that nasty night dress, I can't help myself laughing, imagining his reaction on his face.
