PART 13:

Jai led Bani out onto the dance floor and pulled her into his arms...

They had danced liked these many times since their marriage...but today...today something was different...there was some type of electricity emanating from them...they seemed to be on fire...their gaze into each other's eyes seemed to be deep and unrelenting...

unconciously Jai pulled bani closer into his embrace, the hand he had rested against her waist moved deeper under the cover of her saree palla...he touched her skin...again sending vibes of tension through bani causing her to become breathless...

"Mr Walia...yeh aap?""

"Shhh..." he whispered to her...

They danced throughout the whole song under the cover of the darkness and the steam given off the dry ice....

To them it seemed as though there was no one else in the room, and bani felt as though they were floating above the clouds...

At the end of the dance, bani was claimed by Aditya, who also took her to dance...

"Bani?"

"Ji Uncle?"

"I know i am not as handsome as Jai but you know...I am dancing with you...and you could look at me..."

Bani began to blush red at having been caught out by Adi at staring at Jai from acros the room..

"Don't worry...i don't know what has happened to you both today...first JAi now you...but i am happy that things are finally getting better for you.."

Bani smiled at him and let him lead her off the floor at the end of the dance...

"Jai"

"Yes Adi?"

"I think that you had better take Bani home...i don't think that she is feeling too well."

Bani looked up suddenly...

"No I am..."

Jai glanced at her..

"I think you are right, we will leave straight away.."

"But Mr Walia.."

Jai didn't listen to her, just grabbed her elbow and pulled her along to say their goodbyes to everyone.

Behind them Adi laughed quietly to himself at the success of his and Jai's plans to find an excuse to leave the party early...now he just wished Jai all the luck in professing his love.... 😉
