So Bani's proposal to get Anu married is just normal. She tries to find a solution to the problem. It is not necessary that we always follow the "modern" West-world with everything. Holding to ones own culture, morals and values isn't a shame. Even better these same culture, morals and values are more precious then any other so called "modern hype". Holding to what's been right for ages doesn't mean ur backwards, it means u hold to what is righteous and prestigous. Not everything thats considered to be modern is per se good. I see alot of wrong things in what is called "modern" yet I see alot of good in what is called to be "backwards". Anyways this is just the way I think about it.
I totally agree!!! Just because other people form other cultures may allow unwedded mothers it doesn't mean that we change our traditions!! i just don't think that it is right in any way!!! We have traditions passed down for a reason and it means we are doing what everyone else has done in the past!! This way people cannot point fingers and single you out!!! This sort of stops bullying aswell.
If we have tradition which is supposedly going backwards- we also have science taking us forwards!!! If we all start allowing unwedded mothers juts because some others allow it we will be forced into thinking that if someone else does something it is right!!! We shouldnt loose our morals and values!!! if some others are unwedded mothers doesn't mean every teenager can go and get pregnant!!! In the same way if someone steals something doesn't mean it is right and doesnt mean you can do the same!!! The same has happened with smoking- people do it at school and others think it is alright and so they join in- for the soul reason that others are doing it!!!
So in conclusion Anu should get married - to discourage others from following in her footsteps and breaking morals!!!!
