Hey guys,
Teenu and meena were bugging me, especially teenu, to write a story for JB anniversary on RPR. An idea just clicked. This begins quite a few days after June 19th and during Anu and Rano's marriage? Jai and bani will behave weirdly, quite out of character, Love can make you do strange things?I hope you will enjoy it? ?
I really like the title song of "Jaane kya baat Hui"; I even went to the extent of recording it in my mobile, so I have incorporated it. I simply love the lyrics? ?
NOTE: There is no PR Raaz?
ENJOY!!!!

Jaane Kya Baat Hui? ?
Yun toh koi gila nahin, sab kuch tha kya na tha?
Phirbhi jo ek kami si thi uska pata na tha?
Yun toh koi gila nahin?
Yeh kaun mujhme chupke mujhe dekhne laga?
Itna haseen pehle kabhi aaina na tha?
Yun toh koi gila nahin?
Aaaaa?.aaaaa?.aaaaa?
Yun dhoop motiyon si chamakti na thi kabhi?
Itni toh raat rani mehkti na thi kabhi?
Mausam hara toh tha magar, itna hara na tha?
Gaate hain poore pate, bajate hain taaliyan?
Kush ho ke naachte hain, tarkton pe daaliyan?
Khamoshiyon ko bolte pehle suna na tha?
Yun toh koi gila nahin?
Jaane kya baat hui?jaane kya baat hui? ?
Aaaaa?.aaaaa?.aaaaa?
PART -1
Bani sat looking at her visage in the four-cornered mirror?her wet hair dripping a few droplets of water?her face glowing, but her eyes seem to tell a stirring story of their own?the tinkle which always resided in her honey eyes departed without a premonition?and a constant nothingness settled in? ?her blank eyes moved to the thing hanging around her neck?a diamond studded pendant rested over her calm bosom?her hands moved to caress it, she has grown to love the feel of the black beads around her neck, the way it swung when she ran from here and there organizing something, the way it rested peacefully while sleeping, the way it always reminded her that she belonged to someone?and that someone belonged to her?her slender fingers trailed over the design on the pendant? It was never meant for you Bani? ? a small little but truthful voice echoed in the back of her mind?the rushes of the past few months came back to her like a hurried tornado, it soon left but left behind a ransacked maze of bitter memories? memories which she couldn't yet forget?
It was never meant for her?she had already reached to that conclusion the beautiful morning when her husband curtly stated in clear terms that whatever had happened between them was nothing but a mere mistake, something so frivolous that he felt extremely sorry for it?and the beautiful morning had turned into a lifelong nightmare? ?
She heard a faint click of the bathroom door?she let out a deep sigh and quickly filled her parting with the red vermillion? ?she brushed her wet hair and fled?before her husband came out? ?she had been doing it for days?and today was no different either?he didn't want her?so did she? at least that's what she lectured herself every day, every night, every moment? ?

Jai came out of the bathroom dressed in his black trousers and white vest?his hawk like sharp eyes scanned the room for a trace of his wife, but she was not there, as everyday? he wondered whether she was avoiding him?the very next moment he scolded himself for thinking about her, he had decided to set her free, and he always stood by his never-changing decision? ?but no such decision had ever effected him so much as this was effecting him?there was a subtle pain somewhere floating inside him?like the small prick of a tiny thorn on the thumb when the hand reaches to caress the rose petals? ?so sublime and pure that he feared that it would never leave him?that it would permanently reside inside him, grow with him and haunt him in the watches of day and night? ? he shook his head is dismay? ?he wasn't a strong puritan, not a weak mortal to be shaken by such harmless breezes? ?
He looked over the bed to search his shirt, but it was not there?he angrily opened his cupboard and took out a shirt; his search continued as he couldn't locate his scarf, his pen, his watch, his cufflinks, his handkerchief, his blue file?where were there in the labyrinth of his room?frustrated by not able to find any of the things, he ran his fingers through his thick hair?
"BAAN?." He started to scream but abruptly shut his mouth up?he felt anger rise inside him?He didn't need her damn help, What did she think of herself, as if without her he can't do anything, Of course he can, debated his mountain size male ego?
"TONYYYY! TONYYYY!!!!" he shouted as if an earthquake had come?
Bani chuckled listening to his ear deafening shouting?well, after what he did what was he expecting, that she would be a servant and act according to his whims and fancies, being his personal care-taker, she felt good, he did deserve it?she coolly ignored poor Tony's helpless as well as surprised look, cutting the vegetables into fine juliennes for anu's Chinese noodles?
Before the sky broke loose, Tony almost ran upstairs only to find his master in the middle of a mess; the room looked as if it was hit by a mini cyclone?
"Where the hell have you been?" jai shouted, trying to find his blue file?
"Sorry sir?" Tony said timidly?the lion looked ready to rip apart his prey?
"Find me my watch, kerchief, scarf, pen?" he ordered?
"I?bani madam should know?" Tony said?since bani managed all his things, he was relieved from his duty towards his master, but what happened today he wondered?
"You have been in this house for long or your bani madam?" jai yelled sarcastically?
"I will find it sir?" tony said looking for the things prescribed intelligent enough not to argue further?while jai was still looking for the blue file? ?

Bani carried the breakfast tray, and kept all the dishes on the dining table?the aroma of the food was heavenly?
"Good morning Bani?" an over cheery Roshni greeted her, bani frowned, she was always the party pooper, just when she was enjoying her morning she had to drop in?. ?
"Morning Roshni?" bani mumbled and left, disappearing into the kitchen while Roshni gaped open-mouthed? ?did she just call her Roshni, form whatever she remembered bani always addressed her as Roshniji, now what happened this morning?Roshni flicked a strand of her golden streaked hair and perched on the seat?
Everybody started pouring in, seating themselves, helping themselves with a serving of the delicious breakfast?.
"Oh!! Roshni?Morning dear?" jigyasa exclaimed and both engulfed each other in a bear hug, indulging in a session of air-kissing? before picking up their juice glasses?
"I just wanted to show you the wedding card jigyasa?" roshni said?
"Oh, it's wonderful?" jigyasa quipped seeing the card?roshni's eyes fell on a grumpy jai descending downstairs in heavy steps?he plopped himself upon the seat least bothered to wish anybody, there was nothing good about this morning?taking the newspaper, he flipped through the pages almost tearing them? ?
"Good morning MR. Walia?" pia said chirpily, munching an apple? ?
"What's so good about this morning Mrs. Shukla?" jai said caustically, pia shut her mouth, sticking to her apple? while roshni smirked?
Bani came out of the kitchen?
"Anu, your noodles?" bani said sweetly handing her the bowl and sauce bottle?
"Thank you mami, you are the best?" anu said gorging on her favorite noodles, now a days she had cravings to eat spicy food?
