And especially Abhi who reminded me like a good girl that she had done two updates even before she could ask for an update

Also all the people for the repeated reminders that I had a fanfic to complete. I hope you all haven't forgotten eh story. Currently it's in the flash back mode as to why two people who were so much in love got separated for 12 long years.

It was nice to read the feed back about the episode. Bani may be a bit childish and she doesn't expect Jai to be with her 24 /7. There is something which is there in the back of her mind the fact that Jai has never confessed his love for her. According to him it is an over rated emotion. So Bani feels his love when he takes special interest in the things she does. Or be there for her may be only as a silent partner. Where as for Jai now she is no more the young girl he got married to she has become a woman who should be more capable of understanding his responsibilities, his status in society, the time constraints of running a big empire. But then "change" is something that every person takes time to come in terms with even though that is what we had wished to happen.

So here goes the next part…..

Chapter 23 A

This time when Jai was back from London she was out for some art exhibition and that to with Deb. Jai wasn't happy when he came to know and the message was relayed to him by his butler. When he had called informing of his arrival she sounded as though she was least bothered about him coming. That annoyed him to no end. He just holed himself up in the study and poured a drink. He did not know the amount he had consumed by the time Bani was back home he was totally out on the couch in the study. And as Bani tried to wake him up he was murmuring something at first which was not clear to Bani but then she heard something which made her feel really guilty. And shocked. Jai was still in a daze as he spoke these words to her. But Bani felt as though it was coming from his heart

Jai: Angel why do you do this to me. Today again you are angry with me you are mine my strength I thought words were not required to tell you how I felt. You could read my thoughts and feelings better than any person. Angel I miss you. Aren't you happy to be with me anymore Angel. I am sorry for everything I want you to be happy always. So tell me are you not happy? Eh

Bani: Jeet come on I am happy but now you are drunk.

Jai: Forget it. Then why cannot I see that in your eyes angel. I'm sorry if I hurt you and he just falls side ways on to the couch.

Bani was like a statue to hear these words form her husband. And she felt bad for Jai how could she have over looked his feelings. She was always able to know what he wanted before he could ask for it. So when did the distance come in . That brought about shivers in her body. She just clung on to her life support. It would always be Jai She knew that no matter what happened no person would get this close with her. She was only meant for him.

Bani: Come on Jeet lets go and sleep, we will talk in the morning and I'm sorry I did not come to the airport to pick you up. It's just that sometimes I get mad. And you always try to mend things I think I was missing that. And one more thing I love you always forever. And no person has made me happy the way you do. So please never leave me you heard me.

But there was only silence. Jai was now totally out because of his drinking

Bani wanted him to be comfortable on the bed so she asked Tony's help to get him to their room. Then she removed his shoes and took off the blazer and opened out the shirt buttons. He was sweating in spite of the A.C. Then she took the duvet and covered him. Later she joined him and fell asleep on his chest. That was the way Jai found her in the morning. Sleeping peacefully in his arms. While he was with a throbbing headache.

Jai to himself. Wow angel you are sleeping away so peacefully while I drink myself to a headache because of you.

Feeling Jai stir and murmuring Bani got up and she heard what he said.

Bani: No good morning sweet angel. Only complains now.

Jai: Oh so madam is awake.

Bani: No I want to sleep and it's hardly morning. I have to catch up on the sleep I lost.

Jai: What partying late nights.

That got Bani into an attack mode she forgets all about last night

Bani: Partying my foot you left me alone and went. You know I do not get sleep in an empty house.

Jai: You said you were with Massi when I called. So what happened to the brats there.

Bani: Try sleeping with three kids who are clamoring for your attention. Then in their sleep too they try their karate stunts. Don't ask. So now I can I go to sleep. And she just hugs Jai and places her head on Jai's chest. Half of her weight is on Jai.

Jai; Baby can you shift a little.

Bani: Where are you going this early.

Jai: Your questions will increase my headache. I just want to use the wash room.

Bani: Good if your head hurts Who asked you to drink so much. You got me so worried last night. I asked Tony to bring you here. Then you had passed out It sacred the day lights if something had happened to you…

Jai: Hold it baby don't get yourself worked up

Bani: You can say that.

Jai: Ya what about the fact that I come home to see my wife enjoying her night with someone else.

Bani: Ah so now you know how it is to be left alone know.

Jai: What you did that on purpose.

Bani: Of course the exhibition got over early then I had gone to Rano's house and we had our girly talks then I realized it was really late.

Jai just couldn't believe this. He was just kept staring at her. Sometimes his wife was beyond his comprehension. She would do things to instigate his anger, some times it would be silly things to just make him laugh, and sometimes she would show the love and caring side which was way beyond her age. She could drive any sane person mad. He felt that was her major aim in life was that just to drive him plain crazy.

Bani: Now stop staring at me it would only increase your headache. I will get you some coffee and that aspirin may be a shower too would help that hang over of yours. After that you can tell me what you got for me from London.

Jai just kept on looking at her. That was Bani last night he was really angry with her and he wanted to give her good. But today morning things have just changed it's she who is bossing around him for all the drinking.

By the time Bani brought the coffee

Jai had taken a shower and he had only worn the bath robe and was looking out through the window to see only the morning sun rising up it is yet to come to its full glory. Taking the coffee he sat on the bed and Bani just got in on the other side and from behind she hugged him and said now can we get back to sleeping. You sleep. I have got something to check. Seeing her frowning face. I will be here only Just wanted to see some messages on the mobile.

Bani: With that headache..

Jai Just kept his finger on her mouth. Don't lecture please Its important and I am here only and it's only a ten minute job so you go to your beauty sleep.

Very late into the morning. Jai was out in the patio and having a glass of juice and sees and agitated Rano walking in and questioning Tony.

Rano: Where is the princess today morning?

Tony didn't know how to answer as he knew Jai could hear what they were saying and he was looking towards his boss.

Rano: what are you looking there for I asked you?

Tony She hasn't come down.

Rano: What do you mean by come down? Don't tell me she is sleeping away to glory while she has the whole set of people waiting for her.

Jai on hearing the commotion.

Jai: Tony is there a problem

Rano on hearing Jai's voice immediately gives Tony a questioning glare as to why he couldn't open his mouth and say that Jai was there.

Tony just gave a helpless look.

Rano: No Mr. Walia Bani was supposed to come today with us to meet a few people to sponsor for the fun fair.

Jai: She never mentioned anything. You can go up and check on her. When I was coming down she said in ten minutes she would hit the shower.

But when Rano knocked the door not receiving any response. Knocked harder to get a very sleepy response from Bani saying come in Rano had just opened at the door to see Bani still sleeping cozy in her bed and judging by the state of the bed and around it Rano didn't have to think twice to come to a conclusion.

Rano: Princess its ten in the morning and the whole world is up but not you.

Bani: Stop cribbing early in the morning and why are you here so early.

Rano: Gosh I don't believe this when that husband of your 's is in town you forget half the world. Frankly I would like to know when this honeymoon phase of yours is going to end.

Bani: Some one is jealous here.

Rano: Shut up and stop putting word into my mouth. You know you have a team of people waiting for you regarding the fun fair and madam is sleeping .

Bani: Oh not that today. I promised Jeet to go out for lunch. For my sake tell them not to worry I will get the sponsors for them but I'm sorry for today.

Rano just looked at her. Princess you made us wait for over an hour and you don't pick that mobile of yours. Then you just cancel of the plan. Wow

Bani: Stop eating my head in the morning I said it will be done.

Rano: Thank you for letting me know. Couldn't you say this last night itself. It would have saved us all a lot of trouble and time. Bani next time you are not a part of the fund raising. You better stick to the cultural programs. Finance is not your piece of cake.

Bani: Oh really then how come I was the one to bring in the most cash last time.

Rano; Thanks to Mr. Walia for that.

Bani: Really Rano you are losing it my dear. Is it so difficult to admit that you are great with numbers but require a lot of polishing when it comes to get your way around all those money loaded men.

Rano Spare me. And I am the only one to know that behind that innocent look and smile you come with trouble with a capital T I should say. I wonder how that husband of yours bears with you….

Bani didn't like the direction of the conversation. Are you done complaining. Can I now freshen up. Jeet would be waiting to have his breakfast. And one more thing whatever I do he is my Jeet so you don't have a reason to complain.

Rano: Oh are we damn possessive and madam remembers about the breakfast after ten in the morning. If I hadn't called you would be dozing still Princess.

Bani: So what it would have been breakfast in bed. Rather you spoilt it.

Rano: Now I am the spoil spot eh. And please other than romance and s*x people have got other things to do in life.

Bani: Like what look at balance sheets day in and out. you know what my advice to you Get a boy friend at least then you will know what you are missing out on. Or shall I hook you up with a date And let me enjoy my moments with my husband.

Rano: Not another one of your hand picked dates please. And I am sorry to interrupt the romantic morning for you. I don't want an advice from you now how boring my life is and its time to spice it up.

Bani: Alright then join us for a late breakfast.

Rano: three is crowd so please.

The fundraising event was on a grand scale. By now Bani had finished her college and on Jai's persistence she joined the company just for the mornings. After lunch she looked into Massi's charitable works and evenings mostly she found time to pursue her art. She was by now a quite well known person in her own right. Though many of them did know her as Jai's wife.

But the office wasn't that smooth sailing for her. Bani found some of the business dealings a little too hard. Jai justified his actions saying for the betterment of the society and community sacrifices have to be made. Their first major tug of war was on a land accusation were in it was earlier a proposed sight to build an old age home. But then the builders wanted to set up a town ship and the plan got old age home got shelved as the land came in between. Bani then came to know that now Jai was a part of this town ship and she wanted something to be done so as to help the neglected people It created a conflict in the board room. For the first time someone had opposed the great Jai Walia that too in front of so many people. He knew if his wife wanted something she would really go after it. She was just like him in that matter. Normally she always gave into Jai's insistence but here Jai was finding different Bani she always stood by her stand and she was confident to face the world. To her it did not matter who the opponent was as long as it was for a right cause and to help someone more deserving she never flinched or was even ready to compromise.

So she proposed an idea in front of the builders were they had planned for a five star hospital along with that to have something which would be funded by the community living in there and made it a part of their trust to. She had done it quite cleverly were she had shown them on how much of tax could be evaded also the funding that could be used in to develop their future programs in the town ship like school and the community centre. After a business trip Jai found the developers singing in tune to Bani and that was the start for fresh ego clashes between them.

I know this part is not much appealing but with in two chapters the flash back comes to an end and the story moves to the present day. Reconciliation and the story should end. So I hope to wrap this thing in a month or so
