Anupam is nowhere to be seen after the 5 year leap. Intially Ipshita told that Anupam met with an accident which left him paralyzed. Later we come to know that Ipshita herself had planned the accident to kill Anupam so that she could destroy Shiv-Gauri relationship and eventually get back with Shiv. Though Shiv is totally in love with Gauri.
We all the missing Anupam. The way the story is going I am not even sure if Anupam will ever appear again in the show.
