'I liked the way my character ended in Kasamh Se' - Pallavi Subhash34
Pallavi Subhash looks ahead and chalks out her next move...
Monday, November 03, 2008 10:13:09 AM

As her role in Kasamh Se has drawn to an end, Pallavi Subhash
aims to get back to Maharashtrian theater, as acting on stage has always been her first preference!!

"With an overdose of daily soaps, my entire lifestyle has changed. I now want to get back to theater", quips Pallavi. The actress also wants to make it big in Marathi shows or films. "My fans there have been requesting me to do some work in Marathi, so that opens up another avenue for me", she states.

Pallavi, who played the tactful and evil Meera in Zee's Kasamh Se, loved the way in which her character was established. "I was to be in the show only for 4-5 months, but I got an extension due to the popularity of the character. I liked the way in which they developed it. Also, I was happy with the way they ended my character", avers Pallavi.

The actress also recently enjoyed her first stint at reality shows with 9X' Tyohaar Dhamaaka. "I had refused to take it up earlier as I was doing two shows. But, I could not deny the production house, as I've known them for a while now. Finally, I took it up as I had a chance to do something different. I enjoyed the rehearsals and all the good clothes I get to put on (grins). Dancing has and always will be close to my heart", quotes the actress.

Pallavi would not mind doing another dance reality show. "I will love to take up more opportunities when it comes to dancing; but it is a definite no-no to the singing ones, as I am not even a bathroom singer", says a smiling Pallavi.

On the low TRP's of Karam Apnaa Apnaa, the actress states, "I don't worry about TRPs. As an actor, I used to give my best shot even when we had high TRPs and I continue to do the same even now. So that hardly matters to me".

As of now, Pallavi as Gauri is busy fighting against all odds in Karam Apnaa Apnaa wherein she has an uphill task to save her husband from the enemies.

'Vegetarian food is easier to digest' - Pallavi Subhash

The very gorgeous Pallavi Subhash is systematic when it comes to food. Here is she talking about her likes and dislikes ...

Are you a foodie?
Ya I am quite a foodie, but I prefer to have Ghar Ka Khana and avoid having much of outside food.

What is your favorite ghar ka khana?
Everything that my mother prepares! I am not that choosy when it comes to home food.

What are your favorite dishes?
I love to have Dahi Khadi, Ghee rice and I like Pooran poli a lot.

Do you have both vegetarian food as well as non-veg?
I used to have non-veg, but after I have gotten into the hectic shooting schedule, I have become a strict vegetarian. We pack up late at night usually, and I feel vegetarian food is easier to digest when compared to non-veg.

What is the dish you can have at any given time in a day?
Well, there is a sweet dish called Kharvaz, made out of milk. This is a typical Maharashtrian sweet dish and I like that a lot.

Do you cook and what are the dishes you prepare well?
I love cooking. I like to cook Aloo paratha and all other parathas. I prepare yellow as well as khali dhal well. I make good Pulav and of course, make good curd rice too(smiles).

What is your diet pattern on a normal working day?
See, I shoot for nearly 12-13 hours a day. So as I said before, I avoid eating heavy, oily and spicy food. If I have a shift at 9 in the morning, I wake up at 8, and my mom gives me a glass of milk with honey and lemon. I follow that up with another 2-3 glasses of water. I don't take breakfast at all. Though it is believed that we need to start our day with a heavy breakfast, our food schedule depends on our system, and we should be knowing what to eat and when. Before going for my shoot, I have a glass of Complan or Horlicks without sugar. Then at 2 in the afternoon, I have my proper lunch which consists of roti, rice, sabzi and dahi. I see to it that I drink water only after half an hour of consuming food. At 5 or 6 in the evening, I have lot of fruits. For dinner, I avoid rice and take rotis with sabzi and salad. I prefer to eat light at nights.

So are you a calorie-conscious person?
Not at all, it is just that I know what my body can take, especially when I have my hectic shooting schedules. When I have a day off, I enjoy to my heart's content with friends. I love to go to McDonalds and I love to have chaat too. I am not figure conscious at all, but it is just that I have a basic knowledge on what is good and bad when it comes to food.

"I still can't believe Karam is over," says Pallavi

After her two shows wrapping up, actress Pallavi Subhash is having trouble accepting that she will never go back to the sets of Karam Apna Apna (Star Plus) and Kasamh Se (Zee TV).

PALLAVI, who played the lead role of Gauri in Karam Apna Apna and a negative character in Kasamh Se, says, "I still can't believe that Karam is over. I haven't got over it and never will. Presently, I am busy shooting for Aathva Vaachan, which will get over in another three days. After that, I am sure I'll start missing everything terribly."
Karam Apna Apna was last telecast on March 20 and Kasamh Se wrapped up on March 13. The actress says that between the shows, Karam meant more to her. She explains, "Karam is close to my heart as it is my first Hindi show. It's like my family and you can never forget your family."

Pallavi adds, "I'll miss my shoots, the sets, the entire team, the location, my routine and everything about the show. I already miss my character Gauri like anything. People still call me by that name."

The actress vows to stay in touch with all her costars. "We are all in touch through continuous messaging and phone calls. I am also in touch with a few members of the Kasamh Se unit. Everyone from Karam is utterly shocked that the show has been pulled off. We will definitely take time off and meet up occasionally."

The last day of the shoot was very emotional for everyone. Pallavi says, "We shot for a sequence where the entire family is singing and crying and trust me, and all of us actually started crying during the shot. It was a very emotional moment for all of us."

As of now, the actress is shooting for Aathva Vaachan and plans to go on a break when it is over. She says, "I have been shooting continuously for 3 years and now I want to relax for some time, spend time with my family and look after myself too. I will probably join a gym and finish all my pending work. Only after that will I start considering other offers."
