Ekta: Trust me Shiv…I've done nothing wrong…I'll tell you the whole incident …then you decide who is at fault….You remember, 6 months back I told you, that you've got a marriage proposal…
Shiv: Ya…
Ekta: That proposal was from Alok babu for Gauri!
Shiv: What???
Ekta: Ya, Shiv….Alok babu had called me...for Gauri…he told me he always wanted you as his groom for his Gauri….when I told you about the proposal…the only thing you told me was ,'di your decision will be my decision'…so I didn't disclose Alokji or Gauris name to you…I went to Alok babus house the following day…I saw her photo…and I had an instant connection with her…I felt that she would be apt to be your wife…but Shiv…my dream was short lived…I heard a commotion upstairs…that's where Gauri room was…I decided to go up there…Alok babu was requesting Gauri to come down and speak to me…She flatly refused…She said to Alokji, "baba you know that I love Prateek and only him…I know you don't like him…but that's alright…if you don't give your consent for my marriage with him, I will remain a spinster my whole life…but my life only belongs to Prateek no one else"…. This upset me a lot….
Gopal: Oh…so that gave you the right to scheme things, right?
Ekta: Gopal...let me complete….Shiv…I spoke to Alokji…I told him that his happiness should be in his daughter's happiness and he should give his consent to Prateek n Gauri's marriage…he told me that Prateek was not a good guy….but then it's natural for every father to believe that his daughter's choice is wrong…so I refused the proposal ….I left the house ,neither did Gauri nor Kaya saw me . I then went to visit my friend ….but my mind was still thinking about Gauri….so to de-stress myself I decided to go shopping in the nearby mall……"
Gopal: then what happened?
Ekta: …as I was shopping my eyes fell on a sweet girl who was waiting for someone…I thought I had seen her before….n then it struck me that she was Gauri…I felt the need of speaking to her…to clear her misconceptions on what had happened …I proceeded towards her…when a guy walked in and gave her a hug…he was Prateek….so I just walked off to continue my shopping…They came to the clothes section where I was…Prateek was talking about his parents coming to India and he wanted to introduce Gauri to them so he wanted her to look presentable…she was unbearably excited…she loved a sari..It looked so pretty on her…but he mocked and ridiculed her infront of the sales staff…the embarrassment was so visible on Gauri's face…she finally relented to the outfit of Prateek's choice…you know Shiv...that's the sari I gifted her…. I totally sympathized with her…I couldn't see her compromising…
Shiv: Di…but that was their problem…why did you do have to get involved in this?
Ekta:No Shiv…I didn't get involved…in fact I didn't know what happened with Gauri after that…..till one fine day I received a call from Alokji…he told me that Gauri's marriage has been fixed with Prateek and the next week the marriage was to take place…he asked me not to come for the wedding but only asked to send Shiv…..
Gopal: why?
Ekta: he told me that he wanted to prove to me that Prateek was not suitable for his daughter…I was confused on what was going on his mind….when he told me that he has set a trap for Prateek and knowing how selfish Prateek is…he was confident that his plan would succeed……I thought he was crazy…but at the same time I wanted Alokji to realize that a person maybe be selfish, greedy or self centered…but when it comes to love…everything takes a backseat…that's why I decided to send you to the wedding….but Shiv…I couldn't believe it when I got to know that he left Gauri just for a business deal! At that point I understood Alok babu's concern…n that's why I remained quiet about the incident…but Shiv I had no hand in any plans…other than sending you there….Shiv you tell me…what wrong have I done? I knew one fact…that you would love her truly, madly and deeply…I was confident that your love would make her forget her sorrows…I knew that…n trust me I could see things progressing in the right direction…till Prateek returned…I didn't expect her to react in this manner…Shiv I'm so sorry…Please forgive me….." she started crying….
Shiv: Di…please don't ask for forgiveness…you always wanted the best for me….
Gopal: But Shiv…what next? I mean Gauri….
Shiv: I just want her to be happy…if her happiness is Prateek …then he shall be hers…I don't want my Gauri to ever compromise on her life, her happiness or even her dreams…. N he went to his room.
Gopal: Mai! We can't sit quiet, we have to do something, right!
Ekta: Sab uski maya hai Gopal….if God's put us in a problem…only he'll show us the way…u don't worry…I'm positive that Gauri will come back….
PART 11:
Gauri reached her baba's house….she was angry, very angry….In the living room Baba, Masima,Kaya and Ipshy were sitting…they were all surprised when they saw Gauri enter with her baggage's…..
Alok Babu: Beta, what happened? I mean is everything alright…
Gauri: No baba…nothing is alright…I have left that house for good…I can't stand that cheat anymore…
Ipshy: Cheat! Who? Gauri …I can't understand what you are speaking…
Kaya: Well Ipshy di…that Shiv Kapoor…he's a cheat…
Ipshy: What???
Kaya then told what had happened….about them meeting Prateek and the rest that followed….
Masima: Na Gauri…I don't think Shiv can do such a thing…there's a serious miscommunication somewhere….Shiv's not like that….
Kaya: Masima…this is the truth…that Shiv…he's a fraud…
Alok babu: Shut up Kaya! Shiv will never do anything like this…
Kaya: that's right baba…Ekta mai was also involved in his plan so that Gauridi doesn't marry Prateek bhaiya…
Alok babu: It was me who planned what had happened and not Shiv or Ekta mai!…..and he just broke down.
Everyone was shocked…
Gauri: baba…
Alok babu: yes…it was me…I never wanted you to get married to that guy…he's no good for you…I hated him from the time I've met him….Ekta mai…she had refused the proposal that very day…when she got to know that Gauri loved Prateek…n Shiv…he had no clue of anything…b'coz Ekta mai never mentioned about this to him ever…in fact he first saw Gauri at her wedding day itself…Gauri …if you have to blame someone…then its me….not Shiv….
Kaya: Baba…ur covering up for Shiv right? I know you'll never do this….
Alok: I have done it…and trust me I don't regret my decision….every father wants to see his child happy…and Prateek could never give my daughter any happiness….
Gauri was stunned….she couldn't believe this…how could a father play with his daughter's feelings??? ….she went upstairs to her room and started crying…Ipshy and Kaya followed her…
Ipshy:Gauri…please control yourself…
Gauri: Ipshy…the people I trusted betrayed my trust…..baba...how could he do this to me?
Ipshy: Gauri…he meant your good…please try and understand his intentions behind what he did….
Gauri:Tell me Ipshy…u knew about this ,right?
Ipshy: what are you saying?
Kaya:Ya di is right….u never liked Prateek bhaiya…that's why you supported baba, right?
Ipshy: Kaya, why would I ever do such a thing…when I knew that Gauri's happiness was only Prateek…
Kaya: because you are jealous of Gauridi…u can't tolerate her happiness…that's why!
Ipshy was taken aback by what Kaya said….she left the room immediately…
Kaya: Di …don't worry di everything will be alright…now that Prateek bhaiya is back…you'll get your happiness back…just wait till your divorce is finalized…
Kaya left the room…Gauri was lost in her thoughts ….when she suddenly remembered… Shiv…..Oh God…how much did I accuse him….what have I done??? Why did I behave the way I did? She was very ashamed of her behavior…..She tried calling Shiv on his mobile…but it was switched off…She called Ekta mai…her phone too was switched off…she even tried Gopal's phone…but he didn't pick it up….
"after what I've said to Shiv…he'll never forgive me….oh God what have I just done….I'll never ever forgive myself…I'm so sorry Shiv…please forgive me…." Thought Gauri…
Next morning….at Shiv's house…the door bell rang….
"I knew it…its my Gauri…!" exclaimed Shiv as he ran to open the door…It was a lawyer at the door….
Shiv: Yes…how can I help you?
Lawyer: My name is Mr Desai…I'm Prateek Singhania's lawyer…he has asked me to get your signatures on the divorce papers, so that your marriage with Gauri can be dissolved …here are the papers…
Shiv was shell shocked….." the lawyers would send you the Divorce papers very soon! "He remembered Gauri telling him yesterday…so without saying a word he just signed the paper….
At Gauri's house…..the phone rings…. "Hello"
"Gauri it's me….man you are just so lucky for me….alright…today lets meet for Lunch at Yoko's…be there on time…get Kaya ,ya also Ipshy and Anupam as well…its being ages since I've met them….bye…"
"but Prateek…." The call was disconnected…
Kaya: kya hua di?
Gauri: Prateek wants to meet us for lunch at Yoko's today…
Kaya: wow! Yoko! I love that place….finally di your happiness is returning back to your life….
Ipshy and Anupam refused to come….so Gauri and Kaya went there… As usual Prateek was late…."those who can't value time….can never value their life!" Shiv always said this….thought Gauri….
"I'm sorry I'm late….but here Gauri this one's for you"…he handed over a gift to her…It was a diamond necklace…
"Wow…bhaiya…this is just so beautiful….!" Said Kaya…but Gauri just kept quiet and smiled…
"What happened Prateek, you seem to be very happy?"
"that's so true Gauri….finally I've bagged the KPNC project…tomorrow there's a party to celebrate my success…be there on time Gauri…and ya no need to get that Ipshita and Anupam…how dare they insult me by refusing to come here!"
As usual Prateek ordered what had to be eaten…Gauri was lost in her thoughts….she recalled how Shiv, Di, Gopal and she used to go to the restaurants and they used to have huge discussions on what to order, literal catfights between di and Gopal…but at the end they used to land up ordering their standard menu…..she smiled brightly…
"What's the matter Gauri…have I cracked a joke that you're smiling this wide?" mocked Prateek
"Nothing…"
The food came…Gauri didn't eat…she wasn't feeling well…so she just ordered an orange juice…
"I thought you hated orange juice, di!"
Gauri just smiled…'how can I hate orange juice…Shiv just loves it!' she thought
Gauri felt disgusted at the way Prateek treated the waiters in the restaurant …'Shiv always treats everyone with respect' .Again she smiled…..
Prateek dropped them back home…..while Gauri was stepping out of the car…"Gauri…"
"Ya Prateek…"
"Just sign these papers …"
"Which papers are these Prateek?"
"Your divorce papers! You don't need that idiot anyways….it will be difficult convincing my parents for our marriage again…you know Na…marrying a divorcee in our society…however they will agree to my wishes…!"
"Give them to me….I'll sign them and submit it in the court myself!"
"Well…my lawyers would do the needful!"
"No Prateek…I want to end this relation with my own hands…so let me do everything!" calmly said Gauri.
"Alright! As long as that moron isn't there in your life…he's so dumb…you know he signed the papers without saying a word….anyways you don't know how lucky you are for me! And ya I was thinking that we get married next Wednesday…it's Shiv's b'day afterall…it will be a good slap on his face…what say?"
"Bye Prateek!"
"Bye!"
Gauri walked holding the papers in her hands…she wanted to cry…but withheld her tears….As she entered…Alok babu was quietly watching the TV…he didn't speak to anyone….As she entered her room Ipshy was sitting there…but on seeing Gauri she left the room….the wind chimes blew as the winds blew…the sound of the wind chimes bought back memories to her mind……
"Shiv…so many wind chimes in the house…Di's influence right!"
Shiv: I love the music of these chimes…they just make me so cheerful….
Gauri: ….and I thought that it's b'coz of Di's crystal balls…she recommends it to all her clients…man how can people believe that things can change one's destiny…..
Shiv: it's how you look at it Gauri….Di she can very well read a person's mind…infact she plays with the persons mind !
Gauri: What?
Shiv: look Gauri…suppose I've had a loss in business…and I want a shortcut way out of my problems…what would I do?
Gauri: run to an astrologer or something like that….
Shiv: Exactly, an astrologer won't tell you to work hard to achieve your lost business back…b'coz he knows that you won't listen….right!
Gauri: Right!
Shiv: Gauri…you know Gauri…when things go in our way…we only thank ourselves…our hard work and our efficiency….but when things go wrong…we immediately blame our destiny n God….and refuse to take responsibility…that's where the problem begins….if we learn to accept our defeats as graciously as our victory then no one can stop us from shaping our destiny….Man makes his own destiny and he himself destroys it….
Gauri: So you mean to say it's the way we react to a situation that decides our future….
Shiv: exactly…if you look at a negative situation negatively…the outcome will be negative...it's just like how you see a glass half-filled…."
"Di!"
Gauri just snapped out of her thoughts…
"ya Kaya…what happened?"
Kaya: how can you keep this expensive diamond necklace on the table just like this?
Gauri: U keep it Kaya….
Kaya: what's the matter….n which papers are these…" She reads them…"thank God…now you will be a free bird…free from that Mr Kapoor" Kaya went out of the room…Kaya's words hurt Gauri….she didn't know why!
She took the necklace and kept it in the drawer, when her eyes fell on her bangle box….she had a huge collections of bangles…and she loved all her bangles….Shiv had gifted them to her afterall!
She just couldn't sleep at night. Shiv's thoughts pondered her mind all throughout…she remembered how she would eagerly wait for Shiv to return from office so that he tells her all that happened in the day and vice versa….they used to discuss everything…right from day to day matters…sports…fashion…films…PJ's…TV Serials…politics…she used to love talking with him about everything…she never understood how time flew when she was with him….she never understood how they would start a fight over anything and everything…and in the end used to wonder why they were fighting…n then they used to start laughing….their cushion fights…she missed everything…She just couldn't control the tears flowing from her eyes....
The next morning….
"Wow! Di just look at this dress…it's so pretty…must say that Prateek bhaiya really loves you di…you'll look like a dream in this outfit for today's party"

ohhhhhhhhhhh god two more updates.😆.yaar i think iam the last one here.anyway yaar priya i just read all the parts n they r simply superb.thoda filmy hey but still loved it.n shiv i think ur shiv is a complete different 4rm our shiv of kaa.but really yash is the only one who can suit ur shiv kapoor.he can only be so humble ,so honest n sooooooooo perfect human n can be such a perfect husband🤗 .i just loved his role soooooooo much n yaar thanx 4r bringing my srk in to the pic.i just love him.he is my favvvvvvvvvvvvvv hero.
