Chandra with her brother Selva and she is boasting about how she controls people's lives. She talks about being the creator, protector and destroyer. Selva says she is superb and they should build a shrine for her. Chandra then talks about how she will make sure that Ranjini goes to jail and suffers. Only then Ranjini will realize and seek Chandra and beg for her help. Chandra feels she will surely make Ranjini fall at her feet. Mother Rajalakshi comes down and tells them they need to talk about their dreams. Chandra and Selva are shocked. Mother says the both Chandra and her brother and made the wrong step and they will never succeed. She says they made a mistake by kidnapping Meena. Now both siblings are shocked. Mother continues saying that she knows all about it. Selva asks why it is a mistake. Mother explains if they had kidnapped Uma instead, the police would have surely got Ranjini because Uma had reported to the HRC and Police about Ranjini killing Arun. And they would have succeeded ut now it is too late. She says Chandra may have built her own empire, but she created Chandra and she knows best and leaves. Chandra is shell shocked. Selva tries to talk to his sister but is chased away.
In court, judge asks Ranjini's lawyer, Sathiamurthi if he has any evidence to show that Arun is a drug dealer but he says no. Just then, Vinod runs in and gives the pendrive to Karthik who passes it to the lawyer. Ranjini says truth will prevail. Sathiamurthi give the pendrive to the judge and asks him to see what is in it. Judge see it and says that it is proof that Arun is a drug dealer. Uma is shocked. Prosecutor tells the judge that he agrees that Arun is a drug dealer but it is still wrong of Ranjini to kill him. Satiamurthi explains that Arun tripped and fell and the bullet meant for his legs hit his back causing his death. He says the post mortem proves that theory.
Judge then passes judgement - Arun is proven to be a drug dealer, Ranjini is acquited of all charges and the court praises her for her sincerity in her work and recommends her for promotion. Ranjini, Sangeetha, her mother and brother are all very happy. Uma is shocked and speechless. After sentencing, lawyer Satiamurthi gets up and says he is not happy with the judgement. Now everyone is shocked, especially Ranjini. Sathiamurthi says he is happy that Ranjini is acquited of the charges. But he wants her to be at least suspended for a year for shooting Arun. This is because she has no authority to shoot anyone as the weapon is given only for self defence. He also says that if Ranjini is not punished, others will follow this example. Judge agrees and suspends Ranjini for a year. The only person happy about this is Rajagopal, Ranjini's father.
The bad guys call their boss and tell him about Vinot escaping with the pendrive and that it had been handed over to the judge. The boss tells them to disperse and leave town until he calls them. Devan in in his house and gets a call that his men are being arrested and their goods confiscated. His assistant come in and tell Devan that it is all because of the pendrive. Devan is worried if any one of his men would restify and he would lose everything. His asistant wants to get rid of Ranjini but he says he willtake care of her. He also tells his assistant to kill one of the arrested men so that the other will be afraid to open their mouth. Assistant says ok and leaves Devan. THODARUM.
