I saw the show a while back. Now that I have recommended (rather arm twisted) it to my friends, I feel like re-watching the episodes they are reviewing 😊

Yes the guy who plays Cabir is actually the best performer of the lot so it is good that the toughest part was assigned to him.

The ensemble cast and the good side stories (all linked) definitely added to the show for a good 150 episodes at least..

Which episode have you got to? In my view manik-nandini's equation is best from around their first breakup..it brings in the necessary maturity

Oh yes, I completely forgot about Rose. She is temporary, very minor role.

Reached episode 70 over the weekend. Will be slow going thru the week but just for handling the gay angle with a solid hand, I give them extra marks... A teacher-student relationship is incorrect but in highlighting the gay angle, they sidelined this...
Yes, they did not touch upon that angle. In fact Nandini herself brushes away Manik's objections...

What I liked was that the focus was not entirely on them being gay but also on the emotions that they as a couple are going through in keeping with their respective natures..so in that sense they do treat them as a regular couple...

The best part is they have maintained focus on all characters, their stories, characterization and issues without sacrificing any at the cost of the love story.

True, that and the fact that their lives and stories are interlinked makes it compelling. It is also refreshing to watch a story about friends without family drama especially once they drop the tashan and college stuff

The love story is weaved in nicely and the triangle is justified. He's broken up with her without being able to break up...

Bang on.

But between the 2 break ups... With Alia & Nandini...
He breaks up with Alia saying after 7 years, she doesn't trust him, where there is no trust there can't be love...
Nandini tells him the night before, she will always trust him...
And as he breaks up with the reasoning of getting back at her for her punch - he breaks her heart & she believes him... Should I think that she trusted what he told her then or didn't trust what he told her till the night before!?!?
Trust is a matter of perspectives and heart has a way of finding its reasons...

Keep watching. 😊

Oh God. Arch, you already reached episode 70?!

I'm way behind. I just reached episode 40. Instead of Manik leaving Nandini for Dhruv, opposite happened.
I like how Nandini doesn't shy away from yelling and questioning Manik. Another strong FL, good going! I like how they handle all the other tracks along with the leads.

Absolutely. If you like her now, you will like her even more later...😊

Yes, the ensemble cast and multiple parallel tracks which are all linked makes it interesting.

Well... and the opposite will happen... 😊

But what's good is they are trying to come to terms with new feelings and reach some semblance of balance...

But it's gotten gripping at 70 instead of losing the threads they started weaving...

The first 50 - 60 episodes are actually the build up and from then on we start seeing the characters and their intended story lines ...which is when it becomes more engrossing. The childish behavior too fades away as this is also a coming of age story with musicana night which you are currently watching acting as a major turning point ...

When you can feel for all characters than just the leads, the story comes in the 'good' category...

Absolutely, especially since they influence each other's story lines, we need to feel for all of them

I like how they use different songs according to the situation. They keep mixing it up. Though I love how our home show has tailor made songs for it, I also like the change this show offers with the tracks!
