Hey. Are you guys completely new viewers? That's so cool.

I'd say it's till 200 that the show is real solid and good. Later, to each their own.

Manik Nandini's chemistry is the main selling point and if you like that, you're up for an amazing ride.

welcome aboard!

Hello yourself. 😊

I reached episode 40...
The leads are growing on me slowly...

Their performance improves as they get into the skin of their roles...

The entire college setting, pulling each other and the tashan surely made me feel old... 😊 but it's not silly...

All of that will slowly fade away and the focus will shift towards their equations..

They used all the usual moments - stuck together, falling against each other, eye locks... but the leads have nice chemistry...

True, they use all the usual moments but they continue to up the intimacy quotient in line with the relationship status.

What's ironic is in a young show there is no hesitation in showing real youngsters with testosterone & girls comfortable with their sexuality... As they grow older and shows move on general entertainment channels, they turn super sanskari... So we tell the youngsters, being yourself is ok and as they get older, our message changes to 'limits, shame, maryaada'... Oh! Confused society!

Bang on. I came upon this show when it was almost ending quite by chance. Through this show I discovered that on the non mainstream channels like zing and bindass the content is quite different. They have no particular desire to be sanskari and they have shows with contemporary portrayals of relationships even if not all are made well. Due to paucity of time I could not explore them..

Our mainstream channels are in an alternate reality of their own (have been so since advent of Ekta shows I suppose). In fact shows of the DD era and prior to Kyunki etc. had a more realistic portrayal of women!

I'm definitely gonna watch the whole thing, specially since you recommend it so highly. I just might take some time, things have been crazy on the work front! Don't get time to watch more than a couple episodes everyday.
I have a feeling Manik may break up with Nandini coz of Dhruv. I like how they are showing the bromance without melodrama. Will be able to comment properly once I watch a few more episodes.

Thanks for heeding my suggestion. Take your time. Hopefully you will like it and want to share your observations which are always a delight to read. :)

😊

I saw the show a while back (almost end of S1) and really liked the first 200 episodes (even if tracks like Soha and Pandit were nothing great, Manan was always good), the ones around Nandini's confession and finally the beautiful sapna jahaan sequence. Did not bother with the show after that.

The others on the thread are my friends from another forum. I enjoy reading their write ups and views. Our current show is presently not inspiring them to write much so I arm twisted them to watch this one. 😊.

Despite their busy schedules at work they are watching it, so am hoping they find it worth their time!

The romance is still pretty young and has all the usual touch-feel moments but have to say Cabir's angle & the actor's performance are very well done. This is a much needed topic to touch on especially in a youth show and this is not just a gay angle but also includes a student-teacher relationship - am feeling for him more than the leads at the moment...
The Rose woman is damn irritating but she's gonna go away, I hope...
The side stories are much more interesting, the love story hasn't peaked yet... but thankfully no OTT drama...

absolutely loved reading your analysis and seeing how the show pulls in you. I wish I could go back and rewatch the show all over again, because by far it's one of the best shows I've watched from a youth perspective. You guys have some amazing amazing episode ahead you :)

Yes the guy who plays Cabir is actually the best performer of the lot so it is good that the toughest part was assigned to him.

The ensemble cast and the good side stories (all linked) definitely added to the show for a good 150 episodes at least..

Which episode have you got to? In my view manik-nandini's equation is best from around their first breakup..it brings in the necessary maturity

Oh yes, I completely forgot about Rose. She is temporary, very minor role.

Reached episode 70 over the weekend. Will be slow going thru the week but just for handling the gay angle with a solid hand, I give them extra marks... A teacher-student relationship is incorrect but in highlighting the gay angle, they sidelined this...

The best part is they have maintained focus on all characters, their stories, characterization and issues without sacrificing any at the cost of the love story. The love story is weaved in nicely and the triangle is justified. He's broken up with her without being able to break up...

But between the 2 break ups... With Alia & Nandini...
He breaks up with Alia saying after 7 years, she doesn't trust him, where there is no trust there can't be love...
Nandini tells him the night before, she will always trust him...
And as he breaks up with the reasoning of getting back at her for her punch - he breaks her heart & she believes him... Should I think that she trusted what he told her then or didn't trust what he told her till the night before!?!?
Trust is a matter of perspectives and heart has a way of finding its reasons...

Oh God. Arch, you already reached episode 70?!
I'm way behind. I just reached episode 40. Instead of Manik leaving Nandini for Dhruv, opposite happened.
I like how Nandini doesn't shy away from yelling and questioning Manik. Another strong FL, good going! I like how they handle all the other tracks along with the leads.

😃 I totally binge watched on Sunday...

Well... and the opposite will happen... 😊

But what's good is they are trying to come to terms with new feelings and reach some semblance of balance...
But it's gotten gripping at 70 instead of losing the threads they started weaving...

When you can feel for all characters than just the leads, the story comes in the 'good' category...
