Hi guys! hello to all IF members of KYY forum. you all must NOT know me. because I am not always active in this forum. well some of you may know me also.

Reasons. I know how to read a post and like it. but I don't know how to post a comment on it. I tried many times. most of the time I failed. and luckily one or two times my reply was actually posted.

and I couldn't even post anything properly. anything I would write showed error. It was hard to understand.

But now I am willing to try again. I want to post a story here. a MaNan FF. the story name is "Blind Love". it's already on wattpad. But I wish to post atleast one story here in India Forums. because this was the first place I got introduced to a MaNan fanfiction. and from then I wanted to post a fanfiction here. and finally I am here and starting a story. for me its a new journey in India Forums. hope you all will help me in this.

Prologue

(to say in short This story is purely my imagination. the medical terms too. )

manik n nandini were friends from high school. casual friends. like others in their group. mukti .alya.navya. cabir .dhruv.

everything was alright. they were fun n happy. nandu was blind.

but she didn't let herself to get unhappy about the fact n be happy.

manik loved nandini. but never told her. and nandini also knew about this. she also didn't ask him anything ever.

manik couldn't see her like this. because he wanted nandini to see the world from her own eyes. not just feel it by hearing.

manik made nandini agree with him to be operated. after the operation she was able to see but with only one eye.

manik donated her his one eye which fortunately matched with hers.

1st she was so angry. but then he made her understand that he needed this coz he wants her to see him with eyes. not only by touch.

it is the day they 1st met.
nandini was new in school. actually she was in special children school before. but then her parents decided to give it a try and admitted her in SPACE. the most prestigious school in Mumbai.

nandini at first was unsure if she could pursue her studies with normal children. but it was oblivious that she was just as normal as other students.

her mother walked with her in the class at the first day. she made her sit in a bench from the first row and left. some students were a little suspicious because of the fact that she was a big girl and what the need of her mother to come till the classroom. but they shoved the thoughts away as it could be normal for her.

it was English class when the teacher asked her to write something on the blackboard and she took out her stick to walk to the board.

the English teacher was the most stone hearted teacher of the school and almost every student hated him.

when he realised nandini was blind he got so furious and asked her what was she doing in the class. for him blinds should be treated only in special places. not in a normal high school. he interrogated her how she had thought to study here. how she would write. how even she would know what's being written on the board.

nandini was already feeling bad about how he was treating her. but then kept her calm and answered all his questions properly. she replied that she knew the Braille language. so she could read and write. and what ever would be written on the board anyone from beside could tell her.

she wiped one lone tear from corner of her eye and further added that she was right. her decision was correct to not try to mingle among the kids outside her world. her parents insisted her to do so. and she said that she would try once and in the very first class she understood that this wasn't the right place for her.

she picked up her belongings and started going to the exit door of course with the teacher's permission. but suddenly one of students stood up and ran towards her also stopping her from going by holding her hand from the back side. at that time also she didn't know who it was.

and who else could it be other than our very own manik malhotra.

[~N.B : the experience of nandini in the first class is slightly inspired from a teen novel of Dr. Jafar Iqbal Sir~]

manik held nandini's hand to stop her from going. he wanted her to stay and it was justified. it's not her who should get a chance to stay but the students should get a chance to make a special student feel herself not different from others.

after convincing her for good one hour by manik and other students, she finally agreed to stay.

nandini's parents were good friends with the principal. so she was told to feel relax about the new school.

nandini came back to class and sat at the 5th bench beside of course manik.

manik initiated the introduction. they exchanged their names. then talked about unnecessary topics for sometime. one thing manik noticed about her was that she was so carefree. she talked about anything she had in mind without thinking twice. she loved to tell what she felt without being formal.

it was hard to know that she was blind because she was so used to it. she did her every work so easily that for once he would think she could see. manik liked her simplicity. how she tried to keep everything simple for her.

at the very first day they became friends. but not best friends. then manik introduced her to his other friends..cabir..dhruv..mukti. this is how their first meeting happened.

in a few days nandini got very easy to everything. she made two new friends navya and aliya. navya and aliya were best of friends. always together. like friends for life.

for manik..mukti, cabir, dhruv were childhood buddies whom he knew from KG school.

Gradually, they made a gang. not a crime gang. but a bunch of friends made a group for human welfare. actually they got this idea from nandini who used to do some social work. like helping the children in orphanage financially (her parents were very rich). she also played with them in weekends. had picnic with them like family. she loved to do these all.

her other friends got motivated from this and tried to do something by themselves too. when they went to nandini for any idea to help people, she bring them to a slum. where many children were studying together. everyone was sad. their sadness was visible and it was not for studying forcefully but for some other reasons.

then nandini told them that those children wanted to study. but they had only one teacher there who was also sick . so everyone was upset. for their teacher to be sick and also for not able to study anymore.

nandini said that if she could see she would help them. but it was not possible. so she brought them to teach those poor kids and help them.

all the slum children were younger than them. as those who were of their age were sent to work.

then this group of friends for atleast someday tried to teach the kids before their teacher got well. and of course they succeeded. but it was one hell of experience for everyone. even being children themselves they didn't know how to make their students understand a particular subject. but overall a good experience for everyone. and they felt extremely happy that they made it work.

within a short period of time nandini became nandu for the group.

others didn't ever ask anything about her blindness thinking she feel bad. and gave her time to say by herself. but as navya is. she couldn't hide her curiosity and one day asked her about it.

others were mad at navya except nandini. then nandu open up to them about this. and also about her hidden insecurities.

till that time all would think that she was being okay with how she was. but in reality she wasn't. she also wanted to see the world. she had sharp hearing. but being a blind she knew that seeing is more important.

the reason of her blindness was common like others who are blind from their birth. she could do eye transplant as per the doctor said.

nandini's parents tried many times for her to be cured. but no use. doctor said her tissue didn't match with anyone. unfortunately even being rich they weren't able to do anything for their only child.

as a friend manik wanted to do something for her. also knowing that nothing was in his hands.

then he came up with a brilliant idea. (at least he thought that) he announced that he would become a doctor in future and will research about how to treat these types of patients without eye transplantation.

though everyone liked the idea. but nandini was thinking if he even become a doctor, would he be able to do anything for her. knowing how how unfortunate she is(that's what she thinks for herself).

being inspired from nandini many special kids got admitted in the school. unfortunately if anyone of them faces any problems for their inability someone would raise a finger against nandini. but in this few years there nandini had learned to tackle these kinds of situations.

nandini wasn't the brightest student but average. her friends always helped her in study. where manik everyday sat beside her only and helped her making notes and also read everything to her.

they were in 10th grade when malhotra's shifted their house. they didn't shift from Mumbai but just shifted from their rented house. and their new destination was just beside the Murthy's.

it was an opportunity for manan. to know each other better than before. till now they knew each other only how they were in school in front their friends. now they got a chance to know one another personally in their actual personality. which they show to only their families.

when other friends of the group got to know about this, they become happy n sad together. happy to know that now they can meet both while visiting one. n sad because they didn't get the chance to shift. in their words, "how lucky manik is to have a friend next door 24/7."

within a month nandini's place became the second home and also the favourite place for manik. why wouldn't be. his favourite friend is there.

favourite friend. this favourite friend eventually became the best friend of manik.

did other members get jealous by this? NO.
they were just curious to know why manan were best friends, while all of them were supposed to be bffs. but at the same time they didn't mind because they all were besties.

in all those days manik had one more favourite thing. nandu ki ghar ka khana. though manik liked the food also that he used to eat at home, he liked the food made by nandu's mother.

nandu's favourite place in manik's house was the balcony. where she could enjoy the fresh air every morning. she was a morning person. manik who was neither a late nor an early riser. but with nandini he also developed the habit of getting up early in morning. sometimes before dawn to witness the sunrise.

they both enjoyed each others company more than anything. sometimes manik almost forgot that nandu couldn't see. she was so sharp. she needed help in very less things. she was so active. but whenever she wished to enjoy something that could only be experienced through sight, it would pierce manik's heart. knowing that he couldn't do anything for her at that time.

but he wasn't hopeless. he really took his decision seriously to do something for her. he was determined to reach his goal. he could see her smiling seeing something in front of her eyes for the first time. he wanted to make this true. he knew it wasn't impossible. he could do this.

manan were having fun together. it was becoming their daily routine to hang out together. even if they hung out with their friends for the rest of the day. their day would not have been over if they don't share their days activities with each other.

they were not comfortable in mobile phone communication. she had to command the phone as she couldn't see and it was difficult for them to communicate without talking. so they prefered the idea to talk when only face to face.

their days of joy were going to end soon. of the whole group. as they were going to attend their board exams.

10th exam is very important for any student. as for them too. they were studying hard for good results.

they sacrificed many things due to this. they stopped eating outside foods to keep healthy. lessened hanging out with friends n classmates at school. they started to spend their off periods at library.

but during all this they didn't forget each other. they used to finish their work fast so that they can spend time with the group. in any one's home they would gather n relax for sometime. it was their stress bursting way.

they couldn't ignore each other at any cost. for their exam also they could give up other things not friendship.

and MANAN. they would try to spare sometime for themselves too. to have some time with each other. n also a best friends' secret.

nothing much. just that they were studying together when at home but their other friends didn't know.

they couldn't tell them because if they would also want to join them manan would not be able to deny. and if the gang get together to study, they would surely end up doing something else.

though they were not sharp students, they were working on it to do better. when manik would get tired nandu also used to take a break. and also try to convince him for giving a little more time to study and then they will have their break for the day.

how could manik not agree with nandini. and this was how they were going. and now it was the night before their first exam.
