It was a beautiful morning. The sound of birds chirping could be heard from outside the windows. A tiny beam of light was making its way into the bedroom from the little gap the curtains had left. Nandhini covered her eyes as the light was directly hitting her eyes but it still bothered her. She sat up in frustration and opened her eyes as she gave up. She yawned and then looked over at her sleeping husband and smiled. Even though they didn't get to make out last night she enjoyed being right next to him. She lazily picked up her phone and saw that she had 20 messages from navya. Nandhini fully woke up then and checked the messages:
'Where are you nandhini!'
'Aj baby shower ha!'
'You were going to come early and help me decorate !'
'Mukti isn't here either! Me and Aliya need more help! Come quick!'
'Mukti bhi agae!'
'Talk to mukti, I'm giving ,my phone to mukti and getting ready!'
'Did manik bang you so hard that you are unconscious?

Nandhini jumps out of bed and starts screaming
"'Manik wake up wake up wake up! We are late!" She yells and takes off her pajama and tosses it to the floor and searches through her cupboard like crazy.
Manik opens his eyes a little because of the ruckus nandhini was creating and annoyingly looks at what she was doing.
"Kya ker rahi ho? Subah subah itna shor kyew?" He asks in his deep sleepy voice and throws one of the pillow shams at nandhini and it hits her head. She yells with the sudden jerk the pillow caused. She looked over at him in anger, picked up the pillow and threw it at him with all her strength.
"Idiot! I am late for the godh berhae! I was suppose to get their early and help! Now everyone will think we were having s*x last night even though we weren't!" She screams at him and takes off her top as well and continues her narnia search in the cupboard. Manik finally sits up on the bed.
"So who cares?" Manik asks in annoyance.
"I do! I don't want everyone to joke about our personal life. What happens in this bedroom stays in this bedroom." Nandhini says in anger and continues her search.
Manik Closely observes her body language as she struggles to finding her outfit. He noticed her more because she was only in her undergarments. He then snapped out of his thoughts and responded to her.
"Yaar nandhu, humare friends ager tease nahi kerenga tohkon kerega? They just joke and its not like they ask on gun point. And its a coincidence that our friends group is the same or else you wouldn't have been this much annoyed" he says and then continues looking at her.
"Found it!" She quickly yells as she pulls out a blouse and lehnga.
She quickly takes off her *ra, manik smirks. She tosses it to the floor and wears the blouse then quickly slips into the lehnga.
She runs towards manik on the bed and sits in a manner that her back is facing him.
"Manik doorI baand ker do!" She asks desperately.
"I'm.more interested in undressing you than dressing you" he says jokingly and pulls her dooris in the opposite direction, opening it more.
"Manik! I have to leave just f**king tie it!" She yells in anger and manik giggles and ties it.
"Sahi sa baanda na?" She asks.
"No. If I can't see your b**bs I definitely want everyone else to see them. Obviously sahi sa bandha ha!" He says in sarcasm and nandhini rolls her eyes. She quickly grabs her shoes, makeup bag and jewellery and heads towards the door.
"I'm taking the driver. Will finish getting ready in the car. And you be there in an hour okay!" She says and rushes to the door.
Manik notices that she left her dupatta on the bed.
"Oh madhubala! Tumhara dupatta!" He yells and she runs back and grabs it and gives him a flying kiss and finally leaves .
At Aliya's house:
Nandhini runs inside and stops as she notices all the decorations around the main lounge. They chose Aliya's house since she is the one throwing the baby shower for navya and because her house was the biggest.
Nandhini runs to Aliya as she sees her dressed in a beautiful purple and black Saree.
"Aliya Aliya I'm here!" Nandhini yells as she grabs her.
"Nandhini! Kahan thi tum?" She asks in anger.
"Sorry sorry. Over slept! Where is navya?' Nandhini asks.
"Upstairs in my room. Mukti is getting her ready!" Aliya says.
"Okay cool.is mukti okay?" Nandhini asks and Aliya looks at her confusingly.
"Why wouldn't she be?" Aliya asks and nandhini opens her eyes wide. She forgot that Aliya didn't know about the break up.
" oh she is fine I just asked because she had bad cramps yesterday! Doesn't it suck to be a girl ? Okay bye!" Nandhini says and tries to run towards the the stairs but Aliya stops her and pulls her back by the arm.
"No tum kuch chupa rahi ho! She seems really freaked out, since this morning. As if she has done something bad" Aliya says.
Nandhini looks at Aliya confusingly.
"Did something bad?" Nandhini questions. Mukti should be sad not guilty.
"Ya! You know anything? Tell me!" Aliya demands.
Nandhini fakes a smile.
"Noo no! Mena bola na cramps honge!" Nandhini says and runs towards the stairs and almost bumps into Harshad as he was coming down. He was dressed in all black which complimented his personality.
She looks at him in anger.
"Yahan kya keraha ho? You are not invited to the godh berhae!" Nandhini yells at him.
"I know okay! Or yeh mera bhi ghar ha okay. Jaraha ho main don't worry!" He says and heads towards the main door and leaves the house. Nandhini rolls her eyes and continues walking up the stairs.
As she enters Aliya's bedroom she finds
Navya sitting in the vanity chair, looking at herself in the mirror. Mukti was setting her dupatta and pinning it in place.
Navya was dressed in a red wedding lengha with traditional desi jewellery and makeup
"Wow is she having a baby or second marriage!" Nandhini says and laughs.
Navya looks at her through the mirrors reflection.
"Shut up. Its a rasam. Godh berhae mein the girl dresses up just like a bride!" Navya says.
"Aliya's american bridal shower turned into a Desi rasmo sa berha godh berhae" kabir says as he walks out of the bathroom and jumps on the bed. Nandhini laughs and sits on the bed as well.
Navya rolls her eyes and gestures mukti to continue fixing her dupatta.
Nandhini closely observes mukti from the bed. Aliya was right, she did look guilty, she looked scared.
"Hey mukti, you okay?" Nandhini asks. Mukti just fakes a smile and nods her head. Nandhini knew that something was wrong but she decided to let mukti heal on her own pace.
"Yaar where are all the dudes? Aaryaman? Dhruv? Manik?" Kabir asks as he got bored looking at navya getting ready.
Nandhini giggles.
"I woke him up before leaving he should be on his way by now" nandhini says and kabir nods his head.
"Or mukti tum toh Aaryaman ka sath thi na puri raat. Where did he go?" Kabir asks mukti and she nervously looks at him.
"Kya Matlab puri raat?" She mumbles.
"Era you stayed over at his house right. So I'm just asking subah subah kya gayab hogaya?" Kabir asks.
"Umm he dropped me off subah KO and left. He said he has a meeting today and will be a little late" mukti says shyly.
"Mukti you aren't yourself today. Sub theek ha? Harshad ki waja sa don't ruin your mood. He isn't worth it." Navya says and holds mukti's hand. Mukti was quite she didn't know what to say. Nandhini figured that this is something else. Harshad is not the reason she is restless.
"Kabir can you get me a water bottle from down stairs please?" Nandhini asks sweetly and he annoyingly agrees and leaves the room.
"Mukti batao what's really happening? Its just me and navya here you can trust us" nandhini says .
"I slept with Aaryaman last night" she blurts out the truth in a second and navya and nandhini got the biggest shock of their life. Navya dropped her perfume bottle on the floor and it shattered into pieces.
"You what?" Navya screamed.
"God Navya we all going to smell like dandelions now!" Nandhini yells as the aroma spread throughout the room.
"Mukti how could you do this? You know Aliya and Aaryaman dated for a short period when Aliya and Dhruv split up in college. Pehle you break your engagement with harshad then you sleep with Aaryaman. Aliya will hate you! She is your best friend ! How could you do this?" Nandhini yelled. Nandhini wanted mukti and aaryaman to get closer but slowly not like this. This could cause Aliya to go nuts.
"Haan that's like breaking girl code. You can never hook up with a friends ex!" Navya yells at mukti. And mukti feels even more guilty and starts crying.
"Ub mein kya kero?" Mukti says and continues crying.
"Dekho Rone sa koi faida nahi hoga. Do you like aaryaman?" Nandhini asks.
"Pata nahi" mukti says confusingly.
"Lekin Yeh sub huwa kaisa?" Navya asks her.
Mukti wipes her tears and was ready to tell them everything but before she could kabir and manik walked in together.
They both walked in hand in hand
"Dil garden garden hogayaaa Ke bhanwra bagiyan mein kho gaya" Kabir and manik sing together and stop as they notice the girls tensed faces.
"Everything okay ?" Manik asks mukti as she wipes her tears.
"Kon mergaya?" Kabir asks.
"Tu!" Navya jokes and gives him a push.
"I'm fine sorry kal bhi sub ka mood kharab kiya or Aj bhi" mukti says and fakes a smile.
Manik sits down next to mukti an holds her hand.
"Hey tum kisi ka mood kharab nahi kerti samjhi?" He says and mukti smiles and hugs manik.
Just then dhruv walks in the room.
"Guys Aliya is going crazy akele neeche. She needs help. Mehmaan aate hi honge." Dhruv says and everyone gets up and walks towards the door.
"Tu kaam ker, tera susral ha" kabir replies in a joking way and heads out. Everyone goes downstairs but
Manik grabs nandhini's wrist before she could leave with everyone else and pulls her back.
"Oye meri chammak chalo kahan jarahi ha?" He says as he pulls her super close to himself.
"Kya ha sub neeche wait keraha ha!" She yells as she tries to get away from his grip.
"Aj subah tum jub tyaar horhi thi, tum kuch bhool gae" he says in her ear.
She shrugs her shoulders.
Manik pulls out her favorite lipstick and she opens her eyes wide and tries to take it from him but he stops her.
He opens the lid and smuges some product on his finger and slowly spreads it on her lips.
She closes her eyes as his fingers se*uctive*y touched her lips.
He then leaned closer to her till their noses touched.
Nandhini immediately backed out.
"Manik hum Aliya ka room mein ha. Behave!" She yells.
"So? What she won't know won't hurt her " he says and winks and leans forward again.
Nandhini had a crazy thought and moved 2 steps back.
"What?" Manik asks in anger.
"Manik I know that you and Aliya never did it. But you have made out with her right? IsI room mein right?" She asks curiously.
Manik looks at her bluntly and is quite for a few seconds.
"I can't beleive you are asking me this..." He says in a low tone.
"I was just curious. You did date her for 5 years and I am your wife now. Mujhe haq ha yeh sawal poochne ka" she says with a puppy dog face.
Manik sighs and sits down on the bed.
"Isi room mein, isi bed pa we were once making out. Completely ready to do it. Lekin something felt wrong, incomplete. I was the one who stopped not Aliya. I got up and ran out this door in my shorts because I didn't have the courage. Per when I was with you it felt so right nandhini. Felt so natural. That's why you are my wife today nandhini and not Aliya. I still love her as a friend and I would fight the world for her but you are the one for me, the only one!" He says and holds her hand and smiles.
Nandhini sits by him as well and plays with his hair.
"I love you" she says.
"Love you squared" he says.
"BTW tumhe kaisa pata ka me and Aliya never did it? Baaki sub KO toh lagta ha we did." He asks.
Nandhini giggles.
"Humari shaddi ka din. Aliya told me. I know I said ka it doesn't matter lekin when she told me dil KO sukoon mila" nandhini says and giggles.
"You are my first and last" manik says with a smile.
"You are my first and last as well" nandhini says and gives his lips a light peck then runs outside leaving manik alone in the room. He rolls his eyes and gets up from the bed.
"Pagal spot girl" He says and walks downstairs as well.
As manik came down the stairs the entire house was like a fish market. Everyone was giving one last touch to the decorations and seating navya on the jhoola that was decorated with gaenda ka phool.
Mukti was yelling at the caterer and kabir was setting up the games and music. Aliya was setting up the chairs.
Manik saw Aaryaman just walk in the entrance.
"yo Arri" manik yelled from accrosss the hall. Manik walked towards Aaryaman.
"Hey bro what's up?" Manik asks and leans in for a manly hug.
"Not much you tell" he says softly. Manik sensed weirdness in his voice.
"Listen yaar. Kal ka liya sorry. Woh dekho..." He says and points towards nandhini who was screaming at the phool wale.
"Itni pyaarii biwi jub hoti ha na toh jealousy bahot easily hojati ha. So I'm sorry, dil pa mat le. Everyone has a past, I dated Aliya, Dhruv fell in love with nandhini, you fell in love with nandhini, mukti and harshad dated twice and still broke up! Navya is pregnant with Harshads baby, Kabir was gay and now he is bisexual and married to navya a girl from hariyana! Cheezain kub badal jati ha pata bhi nahi chalta. Mena thora over react kiya that kal, I'm truly sorry buddy" manik says with a smile.
Aaryaman holds manik's shoulder.
"Listen its fine. Chill. Mein tumhari jaga hota toh jaan hi le leta, you only punched me, so I should say thanks haha" he jokes and manik giggles.
"Oye hoye hassi toh dekh iski" kabir says as he butts in the conversation and manik rolls his eyes.
"Seriously manik, peeche ka rasta paker le bera mazza aega" kabir says and winks at manik.
Manik pushes kabir.
"Shut up kutta" manik yells.
"Itna garam kyew horaha ha? Garmas raat ka liya bachaya ker manik." Kabir says with a kissy face and Manik looks at kabir in anger but then laughs a little.
"Aaryaman tu isko marega ya mein maaro?" Manik asks.
"Haha you do the honors..."Aaryaman says and walks away.
Manik starts hitting kabir playfully and they both run around the house chasing each other.
Aaryaman quietly walks towards the hallway where mukti was looking for the dhol in the cupboard. She was wearing a lehnga and short blouse.
"Kaha gaya yeh stupid dhol, Aliya na toh bola ka yehi ha" mukti mumbles under her breath.
"Mukti..." Aaryaman says and she freaks out hearing his voice. She shook all the things that were in the cupboard and everything came falling down like an avalanche. Aaryaman quickly grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to himself and avoided the falling things.
Mukti screamed as she thought she got smushed but looked around and she was fine. She looked at Aaryaman in shock and felt his heated hand around her bare back.
"Leave me Aaryaman!" She yelled and pushed him away.
Aaryaman released his grip and mukti stood straight.
"Listen I just want to talk to you. Subah sa mujhe ignore kerahi ho!" Aaryaman begs.
"Well I don't want to talk!" She yells and tries to run away but he grabs her wrist. She struggles to get out of his grip.
"What?" She yells.
"Kal Jo huwa..." He says
"Kal kuch nahi huwa!" She yells as she interrupts his sentence. Aaryaman just looks at her shocked.
"What? Seriously? Problem kya ha? We both are 21st century adults and neither of us are from conservative families Jo khandan ki izzat chale jaegi. And neither of us were virgins! What's the big deal? Kal Jo huwa so huwa why are you so scared?" He asks her, looking straight into her eyes.
"I'm scared because of Aliya! I broke up with her brother and then slept with her ex the same night! She will be heart broken! I broke her trust! She is my best friend Aaryaman! We grew up together, making promises to never hurt each other! Navya nandhini toh baad mein ae ha, Aliya and me are diaper buddies! Friends don't sleep with each others ex's Aaryaman!" She yells at the top of her lungs and Aaryaman looks at her surprisingly.
"Wait? You know about me and Aliya?" He asks surprised.
"Yes she told me, she tells me everything and vice versa! You both dated for a short period when she and dhruv broke up and yeh baat dhruv tak ko nahi pata, none of the guys know only the girls know!" Mukti says and Aaryaman raises his eyebrows.
"If nandhini knows , she pakka told manik" Aaryaman says in tension.
"No she wouldn't do that!" Mukti says.
"Dude she and manik are too close. Trust me I know nandhini, she told him." Aaryaman says.
"Manik wouldn't tell dhruv right? Manik loves dhruv too much. He would never break his heart by telling him that" Mukti says.
"I don't know, anyways what me and Aliya had barley lasted 2 weeks. She was meant for dhruv. And do you really think Aliya would not want you to follow your heart?" Aaryaman asks her in anger.
"She would but still my conscious is guilty" mukti says sadly.
"Listen so much has changed in the past few years. Who imagined kabir with navya? Or even navya being pregnant with harshads baby, or Aliya and dhruv! Even manik and nandhini! Sometimes we make rules based on society, money and beauty but dil ka aage yeh dimakh ka rules kuch nahi. So give us a chance mukti! last night we clicked! Kal tak I thought I can never get over nandhini and look at me today, I can't keep my eyes off you." Aaryaman says.
"Oh please Aaryaman! Does this mean you can fall for a 3rd girl than?" She asks.
"Come on mukti! That's not what I meant! Me and nandhini were not meant for each other. She was made for manik. Yes I crushed on her but meri kismat mein nandhini nahi thi! Or na hi manik ki kismat mein Aliya! Doesn't mean manik would fall for a 3rd girl. Sometimes you just need to be patient to find the one. You were with Harshad then Abhimanyu then Harshad again and you will be with someone else now. Doesn't mean you are a cheater. Sometimes its just not meant to be. Give us a chance mukti please! Kya pata maybe we were meant for each other?" He says .
"Fine I'll think about it. UB jaane bhi do!" She yells and pulls back her hand.
"Oh btw there is your dhol!" He days and points behind her where all the fallen things were.
He winks at her then walks away . Mukti picks up the dhol and walks towards the jhoola where navya was seated.
"Ohh muktii" manik yells and scares mukti and she drops the dhol.
"Kya ha bandar!" She screams in annoyance.
"Tum theek ho na?" He asks her and pats her head.
"Pehle nahi this per ub hoon" she says and hugs manik.
Manik smiles.
"Pehle kyew? Kya huwa?" He asks.
"Bus, I have the best friends in the world and shayad I found the one" she says and walks away with the dhol again.
"The one? Per kon?" Manik thinks.
"Chalo chalo we are starting the event everyone settle down and boys you may leave. Godhberhae ladies only function hota ha" Aliya says with a big smile.
"Oye phir yahan kyew bulaya Hume?" Kabir yells.
"Kaam kerwana ka liya" nandhini says and giggles.
"Yeh tum na acha nahi kiya nandhini! I wore my nice kurta!" Aaryaman says sadly and everyone laughs at him.
"Chalo guys. Lerkiyo ka function mein humara kya kaam let's GO upstairs and play video games" dhruv says and kabir hits him.
"Tu chup ker dhruv! Mein toh baap hoon mein nahi jaraha! " kabir yells.
"Baap ka bache! Tu jaraha ha ka chappal maaro?" Navya yells at him.
Kabir gets scared and nods his head.
"Chalo theek hi ha, let's go guys" kabir says.
All the guys laugh at him and start singing:
"Joru joru chilaonga mein joru ka ghulam ban jaonga" they sing and make fun of kabir.
He starts blushing.
"Chalo let's go upstairs" dhuv says.
"Nope you guys going to my house" nandhini says.
"Yaar uper beth na mein kya ha?" Kabir asks.
"You want to sit upstairs so you can spy on us? As if! Chalo niklo yahan sa and go to manik's house!" Mukti yells.
The guys sadly leave the saxena residence with sad faces.
