chapter 1
*Nandu POV*
I wake up in an actual bed today. I was happy, because we finished moving in, minus the few empty boxes I had to take outside.I put on my glasses, and checked my phone. I got a text from my mom ten minutes ago.
Fr: Ma- I am coming over to meet you and your roomate.
My first reaction was:" Well, shit!!".I got up from my bed, put on dark skinny jeans and a muscle tee, and put my hair up into a messy bun.
I frantically started taking the boxes downstairs. AsI throw them outside, I hear a car pull up in the driveway.
I ran to get the door, only to see Manik, who is shirtless, opening the door.
I see my mom, I blush, and awkwardly wave my hand for her to come in.
"Is this your mom Nandu?" Manik asks, "She's Beautiful"
"Put on a shirt before you cmplimnt my mom," I laughed..Manik ran upstairs, while I took my mom to the loft to talk.We talked for a while until my mom raised a ques.."Why is your boyfriend taking forever?" she said, she wasnt joking.
"Mom he isn-," I was intterupted by Manik.."We aren't dating," he said with a smile onhis face.
He walks down the stairs and sits right next to me, "we are just roomates,my name is Manik by the way."We laughed, and talked when we heard the doorbell ring.
"I'll get it this time!" I said,
I open the door,"Mrs.Malhotra?"
"Yup, thats me." she said (she has the same smile as Manik).She sat down near my mom.
I said,"Mom this is Mrs. Malhotra Please, call me Nyonika!!" (she held her hand out for my mom to shake).
We ended up just chatting, we laughed, it was fun.
"Well I should go," my mom said.
"I'll leave too," Mnk's mom said.
After they left I slumped on the couch with a huge sigh.
"Mom's are a handful sometimes," Manik said sitting next to me.
"I know," My phone goes off, it was the group chat with Cabir,Dhruv,Maddy and I..
Fr:Group- Mank, nandu we're coming over, be ready to give up a bed.
To:Group -I am not going to leave my bed.
Fr:Group -I guess you and mnk are sharing a bed then, ooohhh get it mnk ;)!
To:Group-Shut up.I look at mnk, he's smiling like an idiot.
"We have to if they are coming, I sleep shirtless, you dont mind do you?" mnk says.
"I don't care, I sleep pantless,but I'm sleeping with shorts on." I say.
"Ok" he replies.
I had dinner with mnk & othrs, then went upstairs to film a youtube video, and finish some homework.
Around 2:30 I hear mnk switch on the lights, I wake up and put on my glasses.
"I didn't wake you up did I?"
"You did," I say,
"I dont mind though."
"I check my phone and go back to sleep".
Mnk swtiches the lights off and come in the bed, our backs facing each other. Not very later I feel something hard touch my back I wake upto see mnk's arm around my stomach, my back was touching his abs.
I think: Ayiappaaa!!!, why, why,why, why. I ended up just falling
asleep... :)
