Part II
Everyone except cabir, Navya, Mnk, and I left. We all sat on the couch, it was silent.
"Wanna do something?" Cabr decides breaking the silence.
"Um, there's a newly built park not too far from where we live," I say,
I check the time on mnk's watch, "It's around lunch time, you guys want to go to a picnic there or something?"
"Sure," Navu says, I was hoping that we went to the park, I want to get out of that house already.
"Okay," Cabir & mnk say, surprisingly in unison.
I realize I'm still in an oversized sweater, "I'll be right down, I'm going to change"
(I change into some worn out jeans, a striped, thin, sweater and my old vans).
I walk down the stairs, as I am three quarters down the steps Mnk stops me,
"Well someone's wearing their favorite shoes, ever!" he says, pointing at my shoes. He knew I liked converse better, way better. "Shut up," I say jokingly.
"Anyways," he said, "we're just buying Taco bell,and going to the park,"
"Okay," I run to the divider and grab my lanyard and my phone and run out the door. Mnk was unlocked his car and I jumped in shotgun.
Mnk was driving which meant cabir and Navya sat in the back. We drove to the park first, Mnik dropped Navya and I off to find a place to sit, while cabir and he goes to Taco Bell.
We went in search of some shade. We eventually found one underneath a bigtree. I laid the blanket down when I hear my phone vibrate.
Fr: Mnik- What do you guys want?To: Mnik -A fiery Doritos locos taco and instead of the beef, can I have chicken?
Fr:Manik -Okay, see you in 5.
"Navya? What doyou want from Taco Bell?" as bad as it sounds,(I had forgotten that she was there).
"I texted cabir already," she says. (Relieved, I lay against the tree trunk, ever since this morning I can't help but to think of Senior Year). "Remember Senior Year?" I say
"Yeah!" she says,
"weren't you pro-" she cut herself off.
"I can't get that off of my mind,
I just can't," I say, "Its the past, I got over it, I let Manik even move in with me!
Why can't I just forget about that?"
"Maybe you just like to relive memories, even when they were painful," she says just as cabir and Manik arrive with the food...
