I walked in the room and looked at Ansh. He was still asleep. I turned to Manik and even he had his eyes closed. The nurse probably gave him another set of sedatives to ease the pain. I went up to him. His hands were scratched terribly. His leg was cut too but the wounds on his hand were deeper. I looked at him more carefully. The nurse had withdrawn the breathing tube and he just had the IV tubes connected to him.

I put my hands to rest on his forehead but stopped mid way and looked at the screen to check him. I was doing it when I felt something pulling my coat. I looked at him and he was awake.

"Nandini"

I chose to ignore and tried moving away but even with such weak hands he ad clutched my dress tightly.

"You're straining your hand. You need to rest it."

"I wanted to talk--"I did not let him complete and continued" Mr. Malhotra. The nurse is out right now when she will come back I will make her check you again. If it's another dressing you want. But you don't quite need it. The Operation was just a minor. In fact it's just stitches on your forehead."

He looked at me and stared angrily. I stared back with the same feeling.

"I need to talk to you."

"You have been put on fluids right now. After the round checkup we shall shift you to the normal ward and then you will be given semi fluid diet."

"I said I --"This time too I did not let him finish and spoke up" The nurse will give you another dose of your medicines and then you can drift to sleep. Stop straining yourself so much. You should rest."

I was nervous. I was scared to talk to him. The memories of that night and the times we spent before were continuously flashing in my eyes. He was in such a vulnerable state that I might just forgive him. And I could not do that. That won't be fair to me and our relation. He needs to know I am very angry. He has to know I am done with him. He should know I hate him. However everything was a lie I knew it well. Deep down my heart knew the truth and the main reason I was trying to ignore him. He could read my eyes. He knows I stutter while lying. He knew me too well and I knew that more than anybody else.
