once upon a time in a kingdom far far away there lived a handsome prince.. his glory was was of a kind, his charm was unmatched every girl would like to be with him but he; he was interested in none; he was a monster in fact and his people feared him.. he felt incomplete until he met a simple village belle.. she was nothing special.. she wore no expensive clothes, nor diamonds but she had a heart a beautiful heart that saw good in others.. she had a smile which could sparkle seven rainbows across the seas.. the prince fell in love with this simpleton and together they made an extraordinary love story... we all have heard and read this fairytale of how a beast fell in love with a beauty but never saw it.. manik and nandini's love story is one such story.. a beast living a lone and aloof life void of any warmth meets a beauty and then the world saw a handsome prince who had a heart like none...

nandini ran into her ams arms.. ams who has been nandini's mother, father, friend, guru and guide all rolled into one since the day her parents died.. both of them were crying on meeting each other after such a long time and ams more cause after she came to know about nandini's near death experience.. "kaisi hum tum nandu? beta itna kuch ho gaya aur tumne nahi bataya?" ams complained crying all the while; nandini wiped her tears "ams mujhe kuch nahi hua hai.. im jsut fine see.." nandini took a step back to show ams that she is fine.. ams pulled her back and hugged her tightly saying "all this is aiyappa's blessings and manik's efforts.." she pulled apart and continued "today when we will go to his place for dinner i will thank him personally.. chalo ab tum bhi jaa kar ready ho jao.." and ams walked in to get ready for dinner..

nandini looked at chachi with surprised expression.. chachi smiled and started "nandu maine ams ko wahi bataya jo unhe janana chahiye.. manik ki reality.. hum sabka past hota hai beta, we all do mistakes but what's important is how we learn from them... manik learned from his and look how changed he his and not to forget beta he his just a 19 year old kid who was depressed.. you and i understand this but ams is not aware that a world like manik's world exists so she may not understand it.. so i didn't tell her all.." nandini was overwhelmed and all she could do was hug chachi and say thank you..

remembering the efforts manik had put in for her in the morning nandini decided to heed to her mother's advice.. while taking out her outfit she remembered a childhood incident when was useful today.. once nandini and her parents were going for a party and her mom was wearing an olive green saree.. nandini always wondered why her mom had all the outfits with olive green in it, that day unabe to contain her curiosity she asked her mom who smiled and pulled her in her lap and said "because this is your appa's favourite color" nandini didn't understand and asked "so its appa's fav not yours?" her amma smiled and said "because i want to look most beautiful in your appa's eyes.. one day when you will grow up you will understand the joy of adorning yourself in the favourites of your beloved.. the happiness you feel when he sees you wearing his favourites.. the glow in his eyes will make you the most prettiest girl in world.." her mother's words echoed in nandini's ears as he was standing in front of the mirror adorned in manik's favourite colors, a red and black anarkali blushing and smiling constantly...

abhi came to pick up nandini and her family as manik had to stay back for signing some important papers but he was waiting impatiently to see her... as soon as the car stopped in front of the porch of malhotra mansion damini and manik stood there to receive their guests.. manik greeted chacha, chachi, rishabh and as soon as he looked at nandini he was spellbound.. she looked splendid in a simple black and white anarkali kept her hair open and sliding on one side.. wore beautiful red crystal earrings..bangles on both hands and a beautiful bindi increased her grace.. she was the epitome of beauty and grace.. "lil bro wil you say something or not..its getting awkward.." abhi pulled manik legs as damini and chachi giggled silently and nandini and manik blushed...

as soon as nandini introduced ams to manik; ams hugged him and started crying saying "thank you manik for saving my nandini.." manik could not say anything as the emotions flew everywhere.. all he could say was "ams i promise i will protect nandini always.." manik was overwhelmed with the trust that ams had shown on him.. no one has ever shown that much trust on him.. he felt responsible for nandini's protection.. he felt a sense of fulfilment in him as he stood there and made promise of lifetime to ams... after the meet and greet they all walked in when abhi asked "where's dj?" manik replied "she's on a call with stakeholders will join us soon.."

soon they were all seated in huge hall of malhotra mansion.. while chachi who had seen such an opulent set was spellbound with it ams was busy chit chatting with abhi and damini.. as far as manik was concerned he was busy gazing nandini know that he can make her blush even with his one gaze.. he could not look away from her face.. the calmness, the serenity, the peace.. his heart smiled when she smiled opening the doors of heaven.. when she looked around with her big black eyes manik knew nothing could be more enchanting then her eyes.. her bindi which was a first for manik; a small white stone studded bindi was the centre of his universe.. he texted her "meet me on terrace before dinner.." just as manik hit the send button dj walked apologetically sayiing "i am extremely sorry for my behaviour.. even after calling you all for dinner i got busy in phone call.. please forgive.."

chachi smiled and and said "koi baat nahi dj we understand.." she then turned towards ams and said "this is nandini's ams.." introducing both the elders.. "dj you know our ams is also a classical musician.. she runs a gurukul in mangalore.. and she was trained in banaras.." chachi informed dj.. as soon as dj heard the word banras her face lit up.. "what banaras? even i learned music from banaras.." dj exclaimed in excitement.. "oh which gharana?" now it was ams turn to get curious.. "shastri gharana..." dj said and ams replied "me too.." there was a complete silence as the two women gave each other thousands of expressions in a nano second...

suddenly they both shouted at the same time "gayatri.." "kaveri.." they both hugged each other and started crying like long lost sisters leaving everyone else baffled.. as the two ladies were crying, smiling both at the same time while rest of the malhotra murthy family was surprised and amused at the sight... after an eternity they both broke the hug, wiped each other's tears and looked at their family members with a smile.. dj came running to nandini and hugged her saying "today you gave me another reason to be happy.. im indebted to you nandini.." nandini gave a confused look and said "dj i don't how i made you happy cause its always been you but don't ever say you are indebted to me.." dj smiled at her and said "reason 1 " she pointed at manik making nandini blush and continued "reason 2 your ams.." ams came forward and clarified that dj and she were childhood soul sisters learning music from the same guru.. dj and ams narrated glorious ttales of fun from their childhoon when they were inseparable.. then life happened, their respective marriages took both these soul sisters in different ways and they lost touch...

amd and dj's connection was a welcome surprise for both the families and firmed manik and nandini's resolve tat they were destined to be together... manik and nandini's story was always one of a kind different written by destiny.. they met on a bench where manik fell in love with a stranger without even seeing her.. they came close with fights where nandini fell in love with a monster whose heart only she could see.. the stars showered their blessings on them when they kissed but then destiny and their faults drove them apart but what's ours always finds its way back.. manik and nandini are each others' home and we always find our way back to home..it might take some of us some time but in the end we do reach where we are needed..

as everyone was busy reliving ams and dj's tales nandini sneaked out to meet manik on the terrace.. she entered the terrace she found him star gazing.. she stood next to him and asked "you love stars na?" he smiled and said "yes but not more than you.. thank you nandini.." she was confused as to why was he thanking her.. he looked into her eyes, cupped her face and said "thank you for coming into my life, thank you for finding good in me, thank you for giving me a chance and last but not the least thank you for dressing up for me.." nandini blushed but being a jungli billi she said "oh how can you say that i dressed up for you?" manik raised his eyebrow and smirked.. with a jerk he pulled nandini close to hum and whispered huskily in her ears "i know you don't like black and red... your favourite is white and blue.." nandini was surprised that he knew what's her favourite colour is.. she was blushing so much that she couldn't look at him.. manik held her chin and forced her to look at him and said "nandini can i request you something?" she nodded in a yes saying "manik don't be so guilty you can share anything with me as i remember you only said you wanted to be my friend and best friends don't have secrets.." manik smiled remembering those words and continued "will you wear this bindi and this indian attire more often? you look ethereal, an angel my angel.. your bindi when it shines it gives me strength...this is something where i'm not finding words to describe all i can say is please.." nandini blushingly nodded in a yes..

their sweet moment was disturbed by abhi who came to call them for the dinner.. the dinner was a huge success with everyone praising damini for her cooking skills and chachi jolting down few recipes to cook but with her own modifications and improvisations in them... dj and ams were never seen this happy in a long long time having found each other.. they made promise to meet with each other till ams was in mumbai and call each other once she is back to mangalore.. in a nutshell this was a first for malhotra mansion to echo with laughter and smiles of friends and family over dinner..

manik was dropping everyone home in his car while chacha sat next to him, the ladies occupied the middle seat and rishabh took the last seat.. manik and nandini were busy exchanging glances, half smiles and blushes when ams spoke to nandini "nandu aaj main tere saath soongi beta.." this one sentence and manik's smiling face resembled that of a zombie, nandini was shocked and chachi was trying hard to control her laugh.. "but ams mere saath kyun?" nandini asked hesitating knowing that now she is used to sleep in manik's embrace and vice versa.. as far as manik was concerned his mind was working overtime as how he is gonna manage without her, how many days will ams stay and what not.. both of them were not concentrating on what ams was saying...

soon they reached home and ams went in saying goodbye to manik.. nandini wanted to speak to manik knowing he is restless and on the verge of doing something utterly stupid and unwanted but as she came near him ams called her and she had to go in reluctantly.. as chachi was walking away after secretly enjoying their plight manik stopped her saying or rather shouting "chachi.." as if she was anticipating this she turned back and said "haan mere shahrukh bolo?" Manik said "chachi woh.." stumbling as to how to say it.. chachi smiled and said "i know what you wanna say? i know you come from balcony every night and sneak out in the morning.." manik was surprised "how do you.." chachi cut him off in between saying "manik i am a mother im supposed to know all this.. i can help you but you have to promise that.." this time manik cut her before she could say anything "i promise i will never cross my limits with her not against her will.." chachi smiled and patted his cheek saying "I know you won't.. now wait for my message" and she went it leaving a smiling manik behind...

love is a mystical feeling.. it lightens up our entire existence.. it strives us to be better human being not for the world but for our beloved.. it wants to look the most beautiful not for the world but for the one who is our world.. love is a whole new world or rather universe in itself.. love is the beginning of it all and love is the end of it all.. cause its always fun being someone's first but the real achievement is being the someone's last love...
