PART 2

We had already reached home but I insisted to finish the ice cream before we went in and as usual Mr. Malhotra was left with no other option but to obey to his pregnant wife.So as I enjoyed my ice cream my poor husband sat at the driver's seat looking at me .

"ummm" I savored the last spoon of my ice cream closing my eyes

"So Mrs. Malhotra,would you now pls do the honors and get inside the house" He said opening the door of my side of the car.

"Sure" I got down and held his hand and started walking .

Manik had been a very caring husband but since the day he got to know about my pregnancy he had become more considerate about me and my well being.He made sure that I ate properly and took proper rest.He woke me up every morning with a glass of milk and soaked almonds in his hands.

"eeeks" I felt like puking every morning seeing milk. But Mr Malhtora left no stone unturned to make sure that I had that milk and a few more glasses during the day.

He took me for yoga classes in the morning and a walk in the evening.I was not allowed to walk without holding his hand to anywhere...not even to the loo.He was working from home only most of the time. Sometimes I really pitied him bcas despite of so much work load , he was giving me so much time but then I was enjoying his company and his pampering.

He tucked me in the bed once I had changed and brushed my teeth and made me comfortable with the pillows.

"How do u know that both the babies are boys" he asked quizzically as he came and lied beside me

"These are called maternal instincts Mr Malhotra"I replied with a big and confident smile and rested my head on his shoulder.

"But I feel its gonna be a boy and a girl "

"No chance" I said , my smile got wider "I can prove"

"How??"He raised his eyebrows

"Okay"I said and "gimme this black thread from your neck."

He helped me into sitting position and removed the black thread with a cross from his neck.

I opened the palm of my hand and said "Hold this thread vertically above my hand and let it sway freely.If it moves to and fro like a pendulam ,it's a girl and if it rotates , then its a boy"I said excitedly handing him over the thread.

"What nonsense Nandini"He said really annoyed with this stupid logic of mine

"arrey do it na pls, bahut mazza aayega" I was really excited

Pls Manik" I pleaded" for me...pls"

"Ok baba" he said giving up once again

He held the thread vertically and it started rotating.

"So fst one is boy"I said clapping my hands " and now lets see for the second baby" I said as I spread my palm once again.

And again when he held the thread it started oscillating like a pendulum. And now it was his turn to be excited.

"Dekha maine kaha tha ...one girl n one boy"He looked very happy over his victory.I was so happy seeing him excited .

"Nandini" he said softly as we laid in each other's arms after some time

"Hmmm"

"You won't need to be bother about the babies at all once they come. I'll do everything right from changing their nappies to feeding them formula milk to making them sleep . I swear I'll take gud care of them. I'll be a good father. I'll give them all the love I have been deprieved of."

He said looking towards the ceiling. I could see tears in the corners of his eyes.

" I know Manik" I said palming his cheek lovingly" you'll be the Best father"

He placed a warm kiss on my forehead and we both drifted into deep slumber in each other's arms

Awww...sooo cuteee...Ohhh!! Nandini is sure ke boys hi honge...but manik think one boy and one baby...Amazing...And Then Thread scene...Cute...loved it...
