Chapter-1 Coffee with cousins.

"Let's go out for a coffee together with some of my relatives. What say?" The guy asked the girl, who was munching on her burgers in her pyjamas sitting in front of the Television, nervously.

"Whaahhtt?" She asked with her eye balls out of their respective sockets.

"Oh so it means you are scared from me." The guy winked and smirked.

"Not at all! What's the time?" She asked still munching and not moving an inch from her comfortable couch.

"5 in the evening, I will pick you up. Bye." The guy said and almost ran out of the main door.

"MANIK! Close the door!" The girl shouted from behind.

"Nandini! Close it yourself you lazy head!" The voice came, but a bit low, due to the distance.

"What to do with this guy?!" She sighed and went back to her burgers and television.

It had been 4 years since they both met. It was a disastrous meet. Manik wanted to smack her head off whereas Nandini wanted to punch him in the face. They both started disliking each other from their first meeting at their new class. Nandini was a fun loving, bubbly girl whereas Manik preferred silence. And that was the main reason before their grubby fights. They'd almost kill each other every time and then leave so that they could continue later.
Everyone knew about their bitter spats in the college. Their friends were tired of solving their stupid fights. Like who fights when the other person sits an inch forward from where he is sitting? If any doctor would have seen them fighting for such reasons, he would have surely declared them mental!

They had hate at first sight, which they bored into them till 3 months after when Nandini helped Manik. Yes, she actually helped him understanding one difficult equation. He stated that he owed her but he said that they won't ever stop the fights!
Every day they used to sit together in class and Nandini would make him understand the difficult questions thoroughly. Their classmates were dumbstruck seeing them helping each other, solving problems. They had seen them pulling each other's hair but never getting lost into one book and then helping the other with the doubts.
It went on till 2 weeks when Manik scored almost double his usual score and his father got real happy after a very long time. He wanted nothing but his happiness! He was so happy that he reached Nandini's apartment and hugged her tight. And that's when they started talking to each other normally and without snapping.
And one day, Manik asked if they should be friends or not? And then, Nandini's reply made him awestruck. She said that she wanted to be Frenemies with her which meant that they won't stop their cute fights as it was their daily drug dose and that they would stay friends and help each other with every problems. And maybe that's when Manik lost his heart to her. And maybe that's when she started feeling for him.

And to this day, where Manik wanted her to meet his cousins, in order to ask them if she is perfect for him or he just doesn't deserves such a piece like her!
He hadn't proposed her yet but he knew that she won't say no if he would.
And yes, they were still Frenemies and would always be!

"Manik where are you? I am waiting since the past 20 minutes!" Nandini called Manik and made a face.

"I can't see your face still I know that you must have made one of those pouty faces of yours. And yes, I am on my way. It's raining na so I was stuck in a jam. I would be there any moment!" He replied and hurriedly cut the call.

"Ugh this guy!" Nandini said and waited for him for some more time and finally he arrived with a bouquet of flowers.

"This is for you, kind lady." He bowed down and offered it to her, dramatically.

"Are we going on a date, Mr. Malhotra?" She asked in the same away flickering her eyes while taking the bouquet and smelling the beautiful odor.

"Yeah and my cousins would be accompany us!" He said sarcastically with a grin.

Nandini made an adorable pout and followed him to his car. To her surprise, he opened the gate and let her in. He himself got inside and fastened his seat belt.

"Are you having fever, Manik?" Nandini asked making doe-eyes with a dramatic expression and checking his forehead.

"And yes, I do unimaginable things when I have fever!" Manik said clenching her wrists slowly and making a monstrous expression.

"Monster!" She murmured and made her way to the seat belt.

They were there, at the cafe, in just 10 minutes.

"Btw, you didn't even compliment me." Nandini said making a pout.

"Because you are looking charmingly beautiful as always" Manik winked at her and gestured her towards the entrance.

Nandini couldn't do anything but blush. She was feeling on the top of the world.
First, Manik's sudden entry and hug in her house and then, him asking her for a date with his cousins and then this striking compliment by him. She was in the ninth heaven, if there is any.

They both entered the coffee shop, hand in hand, locking their eyes with each other. And then she spotted his two cousins, one with a cap and one with a witty, humorous face.

They both advanced towards them and settled themselves. Manik made her sit just like a gentlemen. No doubt he was trying to impress her.

"Hey I am Cabir! And he, he is Dhruv." The guy with that witty face forwarded his hand towards her which she took in hers happily.

"Hi Cabir! Hi Dhruv!" She smiled.

And that was it. The smile which could attract anyone had almost destroyed three lives. The smile which could attract anyone had attracted Dhruv towards her. The smile which could attract anyone led to the misery in the lives of three ordinary people.

Now coming to the updates, guys, I have very less time nowadays as I have to concentrate on my studies too. My exams are going on as you all know that I am too sick to even move. I have not been attending school from more than 2 months now. And I have started the school from today, so I had lots of homework too. I have to complete the past works too and prepare for the exams side by side. I am too much overburdened so I don't really know when I will update the next part.
It could be tomorrow or maybe after a week. So please have patience and stick to the story.
