Chapter-2- The decision
"I'd make coffee for you. You look so tired." Nandini spoke as soon as Manik knocked at her apartment.
"No leave it's okay. I just wanted to have a small talk." Manik huffed and waited for her response.
"Yeah what's the issue?" She spoke while staring at him. They both were still standing at the main door.
"First, let me come inside and rest my muscles." He said then gently pushed her aside and made his way towards the couch in the front.
"I am making coffee, anyway!" She spoke as she went inside the kitchen to prepare some brunette for him.
"Is Navya home?" He asked as soon as she approached him with the coffee.
"You wanted to meet her?" She asked raising her eyebrows with a suspicious look.
"Yeah, I just wanted to propose her for marriage." He said sarcastically and then continued when he got no reply but just a glare from Nandini, "Actually, I was just starting some conversation."
"So, what brought you here?" She asked and handed him the coffee cup.
"Did I say anything wrong that day?" He nervously asked raising an eyebrow at her.
"Hain?" She asked as she wasn't able to comprehend what he just said. All thanks to his well-groomed face.
"I was talking about the coffee date with my cousins which held 3 days back." He spoke dramatically making her sigh.
"What do you expect me to say?" She asked resting her head at the back of the sofa.
"Uh... something? I mean kuch to bolo... You never spoke to me after that!" He said showing his restlessness.
"Oh so you missed me?" She said and smirked.
"Actually yes, I did this time and that's why I am here." He said accepting his defeat.
"And that's why you came so early to see me right?" She mocked.
"I thought of giving you some space so that yo..." He started to explain her that why he didn't come to meet her even after 3 days after that coffee date.
"Yes!" She spoke without letting him complete his sentence.
"What?" He surprisingly asked.
"The answer to the question you asked me 3 days back. Yes." She said and smiled. Not a mocking or evil one, but a genuine smile which he could come on his knees for.
"Are you serious?" He asked with a huge smile and contentment on his face.
"How many times do I have to say? Yes!" She said and hugged him. He hugged her tighter.

The coffee date with his cousins was going well. She realized that Cabir was really a witty guy with lots of comical jokes hidden beneath him. Actually, his whole life was a joke including him.
To her, Dhruv seemed to be a pretty sweet plus shy guy. He wasn't really including himself in the conversations going on between them. And the one she noticed the most, Manik, was behaving so weirdly with her. Her frenemy was all acting like a gentleman.
They all indulged into some talks for a while and then Cabir & Dhruv took a leave, leaving Manik and Nandini alone.
"So, kind lady, I want you to order for us today." He said and bowed down making her chuckle.
"Oh my God, I am so touched." She too acted and they both giggled.
"Seriously Manik, you are asking me to order? Are you still not out of your fever?" She spoke and touched his hands to which he just held hers and tightened the grip and left her all surprised.
"Nandini I think I am in love with you. Will you marry me after we complete our college? Please." He said and slightly kissed her hands. She just went numb and didn't speak so he continued, "I know you must have got shocked but it's the truth, and it's been a whole years since I realized my feelings for you but I couldn't confess you because I was afraid that I might lose such a great frenemy. But, if I won't have expressed it today then I think that it might have gotten too late. So, I repeat, will you marry this idiot who has fallen for you completely?" He asked and waited for her reply.
After much of thinking and processing things in her little mind, she spoke, "Manik, you know this stupid behavior of ours towards each other and you still... I mean... Uh... Is this some kind of joke?" She completely and sighed, "If it is then please ju..."
"No. I am serious." He cut her off and spoke with staidness in his voice.
"Okay, I need time." She immediately replied and started packing her stuff.
"It's all yours. Do you need a drop?" He asked ruffling his hair showing that he was damn nervous. He couldn't lose the most precious thing of his life.
"No I will go by myself. Thanks." She replied and started to walk off.
"But..." He wanted to stop her but she didn't.
"Bye." She spoke and left leaving him alone pondering over many unanswered thoughts. Was it the time? Did he do right by confessing his feelings to her?
He waited for her at their usual meeting point but she didn't show up. He thought of giving her some space but when she didn't come to him even at the 3rd day, he found himself standing at the main door of her apartment.

"Manik, thank you" She said while caressing his forehead on her lap.
"Thank you for what?" He asked cringing his eyebrows.
"Thank you for coming in my life." She said and bent down to kiss his forehead.
They stayed in that position for some more time feeling each other's embrace.
Nandini loved Manik much more than he could ever think of. It's just that the realization hi her when Manik proposed her. Now they were not only best of Frenemies but also a couple, a couple who vowed to marry each other after their college at any given cost!
But still, Nandini hadn't confessed her feelings about him which irked him. He started having negative thoughts but brushed them off thinking that she would, when the right time comes.

Yo! So here's chapter-2. At last, I got some free time or you can call it a few minutes, and wrote this chapter hurriedly. I haven't edited it yet and I am posting it, Idk what is written here! xD
