Part 5:
The all time workaholic manik Malhotra entered the office with his attitude. Every one wished him but he ignored it and went straight into his cabin. He kept his suitcase on the table and opened his laptopb to check the progress of his new script. He was working on a new project. This time he himself was producing it. He was engrossed in his work that he didn't notice cabir entering the cabin. Cabir is manik's best friend plus a director too.
While checking something in his laptop he searched for something on the table but in not finding it he shouted "NANDINI" without moving his eyes from the laptop screen. "Woo manik tum ghar par nahi Nandini ko bulane keliye." Cabir said teasing. This made manik realise he was at office and cabir was sitting there. "Tum kab aayi?" Manik asked again concentrating on his laptop. "Well I have been sitting here for the last 10 mins" cabir said casuly playing with a paper weight. "Then y didnt u call me?" Manik asked closing his laptop. "Cuz the angry hulk doesn't like anyone disturbing him while he is working" cabir said mockingly. "Cabiirrr" manik growled. "Now dnt kill me. Ek baath batha tum Nandini ko kyu bulaya? I mean tum office mein hu na?" Cabir asked hiding his smile.
Manik's POV:
Shit!! Yeh Maine kya kiya? Y did I call her? Because she make sure everything was ready even before I say. That's all.
Normal POV:
"Bas aadat hein" manik said trying to b casual about it. Cabir raised his eyebrows stating 'i-caught-u-red handed'. Manik ignored and called his PA to bring the script of the new project. "How's Nandini? Its been a long I haven't seen her" cabir asked still playing with the paper weight. "Nandini, usse kya hoga? She is fine. Ghar par hein" ma in said again turning his attention to his laptop. "Sir may I come in?" Asked a guy knocking on the door. "Come in" manik said in his ordering tone. "Sir your file" said his PA Aman in a scared tone.
"What do u think of itself ? U knw right this is my new project and its ur bloody damn job to make sure its on my table before I come. this is your last warning. Next time one mistake and u'll be fired. Now get out" manik spitted fire at his PA. "A..am..so..sor..ry sir" saying this Aman left the cabin before he got fired. "Sab irresponsible hein. God!!! Nandini this tho is sab ki koi zaroorat nahi hot I" manik murdered under breathe. "Cabir did u find a new face for this project?" Manik asked still frustrated with his PA. "Chal let's talk about this over a coffee" cabir said wanting to calm down his hill friend. "Let's go" manik stood from the chair and walked towards his car follows by cabir.
At Malhotra Mansion.
Nandini was sitting in their room and scribbling something in a black diary. She was humming a melody tapping the pen on her chin and again scribbling something. Her thoughts were broken when nyonika called her. She jumped down from the bed and kept the diary on the bed. She went down and saw nyonika holding a deep red color anarkali suit with black borders and golden works. "Wow ma, this is so beautiful. Aapka hein?? Lekin aap toh yeh sab nahi pehanthi" Nandini asked confused. "Nahi beta, this is for u. Harsh had bought this last day but forgot to give u" nyonika said passing the suit to Nandini. Her face lit up "reali ma. Thankyu so much" Nandini hugged nyonika in excitement.
Harsh and nyonika made sure she didn't feel left out. They gifted her small small things that she loved. "This is beautiful, mein papa ko abhi call karthi hoon" Nandini took her phone in excitement. "Nahi beta, he had called me half hour ago saying that he is going for a meeting so not to call him for sometime. Jab vo ghar ayengi na tab thanks bolna theek hein" nyonika said and Nandini nodded happily and went to her room. Nyonika smiled at her childish behaviour. But they loved her like that. She lost her parents at a very young age. Even though she lived with them, she took responsibilities in helping and taking care of others and forgot to live her childhood. She became a woman wen she was supposed to b a girl.
---at cafe---
Manik and cabir was entering the cafe when a girl bumped with cabir. "And he ho kya?" The girl shouted in anger. "Ha andha hoon much problem hein?" Cabir asked equally angry. "Agar aankh hone ke bavajoot bhi andha hein toh yeh mera nahi tumhare prblm hein. Jaakar ilaj karvakar aa apne aankh ki" she retorted back. Before cabir could find an answer manik started laughing. Cabir glared at him "sale tum has rahi ho?" Cabir asked angrily. That's when the girls attention changed to manik "Oooh Myyy God!!! MANIK MALHOTRA" she shouted and fainted and fell on cabir. She was Navya...Navya Naveli. A girl who came to Mumbai to become an actress. "Abb yaar an iska kya maroon" cabir said irritatedly. "Its you job buddy" manik said and giggled. Cabir took the girl to the car and took a water bottle to sprinkle some water on her. She opened her eyes. "Tum" she again shouted seeing cabir again "god tum chilathi kyu hoon? Mera kaan" cabir said closing his ears. She huffed and left from there glaring at cabir for one last time. "Ek toh help karo, aur thanks ki jagah aankh dikha kar jaathi hein." Cabir murmered and left to cafe.
At evening in Malhotra mansion
Everyone was sitting in d garden. It was rare when everyone was present for evening tea specially manik. Nyonika and harsh was talking about something, dhruv and Nandini were playing chess and as usual manik was working on his laptop. He worked hard to make sure his dad doesn't hav to work much. "Dhruv u cheated" Nandini said pointing her finger towards dhruv. "U always loose and u r blaming me for cheating" dhruv said sarcastically. "Dhruv u r a cheater" she said not shouting as manik was there and she didn't want him to see her shouting on his brother. "Ooyyee mine cheating nahi karthi" dhruv said poking her arms. "Tumhe kisne acting keliye choose kiya" Nandini said holding her head. "Tumhare director hubby ne aur kisne manik ki billi" dhruv said trying to control his laughter. "What did u call me?" Nandini's eye widened. "Billi" dhruv said and ran. Nandini got up and ran behind him "dhruv ruk ko, I said stop" seeing there tom and jerry fight nyonika and harsh started laughing. Dhruv ran and stood behind manik who was looking at Nandini intently. She stopped in her steps and stood there looking at him. "Wo..dr..u..v..ne" Nandini stammered. Dhruv laughed at her and said "ab kya hua, hubby ko dekha toh baaki sab bhool gayi" he laughed and came in front of her "itna pyaar not bad huh" nyonika harshad and dhruv laughed when manik smiled leaving a blushing Nandini.
