Part 6:
After a wonderful evening everyone retreated to their rooms. Manik was lying on the bed holding his head. He was having a headache. He was pressing his forehead with his fingers. That's when Nandini came out of the washroom."Mani..are u ok?" Nandini asked softly. He just hmmed. Nandini went to d drawer and took a tablet and filled the glass with water and gave it to manik. "Have this u'll feel better" she said while manik took it and gulped down the medicine. She took the glass and kept it on the small table next to d bed. She turned to leave when manik called her. She turned to face him but didn't look at his face. "nandini ..wo u dnt..have to b so reserved. Its ur home too u can enjoy and do whatever u want. U can play, run or fight. U dnt have to be scared or think what I'll say." Manik said patiently and Nandini just nodded. "Mein kitchen jaa rahi hoon" she said and turned to leave when he just replied an ok. She was happy and blushing remembering what manik just said.
She was lost in her own world when she reached kitchen. "oooh someone is blushing" said nyonika teasingly. Nandini came out of her thoughts and replied "esa much nahi hein ma. Kya bana rahi ho dinner keliye?" Nandini asked changing the topic. Nyonika just smiled and said "rajma chaaval" Nandini asked nyonika to go and get fresh till then she will prepare d dinner. Nyonika nodded and went to her room. Harsh was in study room checking some files and dhruv had went out to meet a friend. Nandini was almost done with preparing dinner when she heard the doorbell rang. She switched off the burner and went to open the door. When she opened the door, Nandini saw a beautiful, tall and lean girl standing there. "Yes?" Nandini asked with confusion. "Where is manik, am here to see him" said the girl and walked inside looking at Nandini from head to toe and then ignoring her. "Mani room mein hein. I'll call him" Nandini turned to go when the girl said "just tell me where he is" the girl said irritatedly. "He is working I'll call him, u wait here" Nandini said politely. "Just tell him Natasha is here" Natasha said playing with her hair. She smiled and moved to their room to find it empty. 'He must be in the study with dad' she thought and went to study.
She saw him sitting there engrossed in his work. She slowly moved towards him and stood behind him. "Mani..wo..Nata..sha..is..he..re.." She stammered knowing his anger. He turned and asked "kon?" Manik asked. "Natasha" Nandini said. "Ya ok am coming" manik said. Nandini nodded and went. She came to Natasha and said "he's coming" Natasha just pretended Nandini didn't exist. "Manik cane down thinking " itne saare girlfriends banaya hein toh now jhel lo" he ruffled his hair and came in front of her. "What are u dng here?" He asked not interested. "Baby girlfriend hoon tumhara so I can.." Manik cut her off "no u can't" manik said firmly. "Baby "Natasha tried to get cozy with manik to make Nandini jealous but Nandini was smiling seeing them making Natasha confused. She excused and went into kitchen. " Mani" Natasha called him. "Shshshs am Manik" he said and moved her hands from him. "But am ur girl friend manik" Natasha said "was my girlfriend" Manik corrected.
"What?" Natasha almost yelled. "Its over. Am bored with u" Manik said plainly. "U can't do this Manik" she shouted. "Well I just did and get out" Manik also yelled. A plate fell from nandini's hand hearing him shout. Natasha left from there angrily. This was not the first time Nandini saw him breaking up with his girl friend. It was Manik, he liked to experiment with new girls but also made sure he never crossed his limits even if they tried to seduce him.
The dinner was ready and the table was made. Nandini called everyone for dinner. The dinner was a silent one. Nandini broke the silence "thanks papa" Nandini said happily. "Kyun beta?" Harsh asked as he forgot about the gift. "Wo apne mere liye ek anarkali suit laya tha na us keliye" Nandini said "uskeliye thanks ki kya zaroorat hein, u r my sweet daughter" harshad said kissing her head. Nyonika and Manik smiled seeing papa and beti bonding. They had their dinner and went back to their room except Nandini. She was in kitchen making orange juice for Manik and lime juice for nyonika and harsh.

Manik entered the room and was going to get fresh when he noticed a diary lying on the bed. He went near it and took out the diary. When he picked up the diary a photo feel from it. A small smile came on manik's lips when he saw the PIC. It was a pic of manik and Nandini which they took on Manik's 18th birthday. They were not the best of friends but shared a good bond. He kept the pic back in the diary and opened the diary to get shocked. The front page was covered with beautiful and unique designs. He gently ran his fingers on them and slowly turned the page.
He started reading from the beginning. He was mesmerised reading it. It was her story, from the beginning. He wanted to read it but knowing nandini, he knew she'll b there with his orange juice he kept back the diary and went into washroom to take a shower.
On the other side Nandini gave lime juice to nyonika and harshad and wished them good night. At last she entered their room with his orange juice. She kept it on the side table, that's when she saw her diary lying on the bed. She panicked and picked it up. She took the pic and caressed it. When she heard the door open she kept the pic back and kept the diary in the drawer and stood looking outside into the moonlight. Manik saw her standing there but didn't ask anything about the diary. He knew she didn't wanted him to know about this and decided to wait to see when she will tell him. He got changed into his tracks and stood beside Nandini bare chested. As soon as he sttod beside her, she just hugged him tightly. First he was taken aback with the sudden hug but hugged her back. "R u ok?" Manik asked patting her back. Just like she could sense something wrong in him, he also could sense her restlessness or worry even if she tries to cover it. Ya..am..fine" she said feeling embaressed cuz of the sudden step she took. He sensed it and hugged her tightly "dnt b embaressed. I just wanted to know. Its ok If u dnt want to say" he said softly. Nandini never kept any secrets from him except about her diary and drawings.
"I love you Manik" she said still hugging him
