"Manik..!! I haven't ever asked you for anything..!! Please for the first and the last time please obey me and marry Nandini..!!" Nayonika almost pleaded him. After she had nominated him to marry Nandini, Manik dragged her to the corner. And now Nayonika was blackmailing him with her emotional dialougs.
"Mama...!! Stop it you know I love Alya..!!" Manik said frustated.
"Shut up Manik...!! She is not good for you..!! I don't like her isn't that enough? Now you listen to me very carefully marry Nandini or else I will never ever talk to you. And I will forget that you are my son..!!" Nayonika ordered him.
"Mama...!!" Manik look at her in disbelief.
"Enough Manik. No more arguments..!!" Nayonika almost lost her temper.
"Fine...!!" Manik shook his head in disgust. "I know Nandini will not agree to all this...!!" Manik thought to himself.
"Nandini...Do you agree for this marriage? Before you say no let me tell you that your brothers reputation will be ruined" Anjili caressed Nandini's hair who was constantly crying.
"I will do this..!!" Saying that she hugged her bhabhi. Anjili set her dupatta. And lead her towards Mandap.
Manik was hell sure that Nandini will say no for the marriage. He came in to hall and saw her already sitting in Madap.He fumed with anger. Now he had no other option except marrying her. He stepped in the Mandap and the pandit started all the rituals and MaNan followed him. Manik could clearly noticed her shoulders were shivering that means she was crying. MaNan took pheraas and then again sat down.Pandit asked Manik to made Nandini wear the Mangalsutar and put sindoor.
Manik lifted her dupatta to put sindoor he saw her face all wet with tears and she had her eyes closed. Knowing the fact that those tears were for Mayank he again frowned in hatred he quickly put sindoor ,made her wear mangalsutar and again covered her face with dupatta.Finally all rituals were done and MaNan took blessings of elders. Then Nayonika suggested that they should leave for Mumbai as it was already very late.Nandini hugged her bhaiya and bhabi then Nyonika lead her towards their car.
Manik sat on passengers seat with driver, Nayonika and Nandini sat on the back seat. Nayonika lifted Nandini's dupatta and set it now her face was clearly visible. Manik saw her in the back mirror. Although she wasn't shivering now but silent tears were still flowing from her eyes,she was looking out of the window. Those tears of her were falling like bombs on his heart.After some time he saw her eyes closed her even breath indicated that she was asleep. He thought that how his life has taken a 360 degree turn within two days. He was afraid that will be his friend's reaction on it? What will they say to him? How will he face alya? Thinking to all this he dozed off.
He didn't knew for how long he slept. He woke up when Nayonika pat on his shoulder and asked him to come out of the car. He looked at his watch it was 2 am he got down of the car and saw Nandini already standing. Nayonika lead Nandini in the house and Manik followed them.
"Welcome Nandini..!!" Nayonika placed her hand on Nandini's head to give her blessings."Now Manik take Nandini to your room..!!"
Manik look at Nandini she was standing like a statue. To show his Mama he gently held her hand she didn't responded.He started slowly walking towards his room seeing that Nayonika left. Nandini was walking slowly with him when Manik heard her sobs again. He became furious with anger and his hold tighten on her hand and he almost dragged her in towards his room,he opened the room door and throw her on the bed.Nandini shrieked with pain and the intensity of her tears increased.
"I don't believe this that you are crying for that jerk..!!" Manik shouted and leaned over her on the bed "You love him a lot na? Then why did you agreed for this bloody marriage haan? Tell me..!!" Nandini turned her face.
"Really?? You are asking me why did I agreed? Tell why did you agreed Mr.Malhotra...!!" She replied with equal anger. For the first time Manik saw hatred in her eyes. Which was only for him he knew.
"Ohhh Shut up..!! You I think I will answer to your hell questions?" Manik held her wrist without caring that it was hurting her. "Listen Miss Murthy I hate you...!! I will never ever accept you as my wife. And don't you dare to complain about me to Mama...!! You get that tiny head..??" Manik again said almost exploding with anger.
"Ahhh..!! Mr.Malhotra leave my hand...!!You are hurting me..!!" Nandini said in a painful voice. Then Manik realized that her bangles were broken and her wrists were bleeding. Manik quickly loosened his grip and rushed to get the first aid box. Soon he find it came towards Nandini who had removed all her bangles and placed them on the side table of the bed. Manik tried to treat her hand she pushed him away.
"There is no need to show fake sympathies Mr.Malhotra..!!" Nandini replied with hatred clear in her voice. Manik almost throw the box on the bed in anger and was about to enter the washroom when he heard her saying
"I hate you too more than you hate me Mr. MONSTER MALHOTRA"
Manik fumed with anger and banged the bathroom door behind her.
Manik changed in his casuals and came out of bathroom. He saw Nandini lying on the couch with all her jewelry on the table. She had wrapped her dupatta on her in order to fight with cold. Manik saw her face. He saw her wrists they were not perfectly bandaged maybe she didn't knew how to bandage.Manik kneeled and slowly lifted her hand trying his best not to wake her up. He tighten the bandage and slowly caressed her cheeks. "How can be anyone so innocent..?" He thought and smiled. He saw dry tears on her cheek and all the incidents of the day flood in his mind he immediately got up and was about to walk towards his bed when he noticed her shivering. He became afraid if she catch cold then what? and pulled an extra quilt from his almirah and covered her fully with it. After a few seconds he noticed her getting back to normal and she cuddled herself more in the soft furry quilt. Manik smiled at her cuteness and lay down on his bed because he knew tomorrow will be the worst day of his life as he has to answer his friends about this marriage and also had to explains things to Alya.
