Chapter 8

Manik got up from breakfast table and after saying goodbye to Nayonika he walked out of the main door. Seeing him going Nandini followed him and stood in the main door expecting Manik to turn and give her a look. Manik was about to sit in the car when he noticed someone staring at him he turned and saw Nandini standing in the door. A smile crept his lips seeing him turning and smiling Nandini's heart filled with happiness and she smiled too and wave her hand to say goodbye. Manik smilingly sit in his car and left for office. After he is gone Nandini came in. Nayonika saw her blushing and decided to tease her.

"What's up my sweet daughter-in-law? Why are you blushing?" Nayonika exclaimed and Nandini lowered her head in shyness. "OK OK..!! I will not tease you. You go get ready we are going for shopping..!!" Nayonika added.

"Shopping? For what?" Nandini said in a surprising tone.

"For what..?? Seriously Nandini..?? For tonights party of course..!!" Now get up let's go..!!" Nayonika ordered her leaving no choice for Nandini.

On his whole way to office Manik was continuously smiling on Nandini's behavior. He entered his Cabin and was shocked to see the man sitting in his office on his chair non other than "CABIR". Cabir gave him a warm smile and Manik smiled too. Cabir got up of his chair and walked to him,leaning closer to Manik he acted like noticing something from his face. Manik became irritated.

"What the hell Cabir..?? What are you doing..??" Manik pushed him aside and walked to his chair.

"I was trying to notice that are you the same Manik who was hell frustrated yesterday..?? And today you are smiling like a fool..??" Cabir exclaimed in his typical tone.

"Shut up..!!" Manik replied in an irritating tone.

"Wohooo..!! Tell na Manik..?? Has something happened between you and Nandini because I have never saw you smiling like this before. At least not with Alya..!" Cabir again teased him.

"You know Cabir..!! Funny people can easily be killed..!!" Manik said in a threatening voice.

"Are you trying to threaten me?" Cabir acted like scared.

"Why..?? Are you afraid of me??" Manik again said with same expressions.

"Yes very..!!" Cabir replied and both laughed out loud.

"It's nothing like that Cabir..!! Nothing happened it's just she is not that bad as I thought..!!" Manik sighed sitting on his chair.

"I want to meet her..!! Because Manik Malhotra is praising a girl..!! She must be something different..!!" Cabir said joyfully.

"Sure..!! Are coming tonight..?? I mean Sexana Uncle's success party..?? Mama has got invitation..!! So me and Nandini are going on her behalf..!!" Manik explained.

"Of course Alya has invited us all not only me Dhruv and Mukti also coming..!!" Cabir told Manik. Mr.Sexana was Alya's father so she invited rest of the Fab3 for the party. Manik nodded annd they both kept talking to each other.

It was 6 of evening and Nandini was sitting in room all confused. Nayonika has taken her for shopping and bought her a lots of stuff. Especially she bought a Black Saree with silver work. Wearing a saree was not a big deal but the problem was Nayonika asked her to wear heels. She never in her life wore heels. Now she was confused that how she will manage. If she fell in front of everyone than? No she has to practice for it. She wore the heels and started practicing. Meanwhile Manik returned home early because of party when he entered the room he saw Nandini struggling with her heels he was mesmerizing her Nandini was too much engrossed that she even didn't noticed that Manik was looking at her. She tried to walk but again to her dismay she fell, she closed her eyes but again a very familiar pair of arms held her. She opened her eyes and saw Manik staring at her. Manik made her stand properly but she stumbled again and held Manik's shoulder tightly. Manik become astonished.

"Nandini?? Are you OK? Why are you falling like this..??" Manik inquired.

"Woo..!! Actually Mama has asked me to wear heels for tonight's party..!! I have never wore heels,I don't know how to manage so was just practicing..!!" Nandini said in a low voice lowering her head down. She felt embarrassed. And Manik smiled brightly at her cuteness.

"There is no need of it Nandini..!!" Manik said and Nandini gave him a surprised look. Manik gently lifted her in his arms to which Nandini become shocked. And tighten her hold on his shoulders. And placed her on the bed. Manik kneeled in front of her and gently started removing her heels.

"Mr.Malhotra there is no need of it..!! I myself will take them off..!!" Nandini said a little embarrassed because Manik was touching her feet. But Manik shushed her and telling her that it's ok and continue removing her heels, while doing this he noticed the marks on her feet because of the heels straps which must be paining. He felt something hit his heart. He hurriedly removed the shoes and almost throw them away. Nandini was too much surprised by Manik's behavior.

"Nandini there is no need to wear anything which hurt you..!!" Manik started in a serious tone,still kneeling in front of her. "You don't need heels..!! You look good without it and moreover it makes you uncomfortable so no need..!! OK?" Manik ended up with a smile. And Nandini just smilingly noded. She felt herself blessed with Manik's care.

"Ok now go and get ready...!! We have to catch up the party..!!" Manik asked her to get ready to which she went in bathroom and he himself went to his almirah to get his clothes, again his clothes were already set up this time he was not surprised he picked it up and went to guest room to get ready as they were already getting late.

Manik dressed up and went to his room to check Nandini as Fab 4 were continuously texting him and asking him about his whereabouts. When he entered the room he saw Nandini standing in front of mirror, she was looking gorgeous and she was hurriedly wearing her jewelry. Manik walked towards her and she again become embarrassed as she knew that she was late. Manik stood behind her and carefully watched her.

"Mr. Malhotra just give me two minutes...!! I am sorry I know because of me we are getting late just let me tie up my hair in a braid..!!" She said with embarrassment. Manik noticed her hair were tied up in a messy bun just with a single clip. Manik slowly turned her towards him,leaned closer to her and looked deep in her eyes. He was all lost in her beauty.

"Nandini..!!" He whispered faintly in her ear. His whisper sent shivers down her spine,she closed her eyes, started trembling which wasn't gone unnoticed by Manik and he smirked after noticing his effect on her."You are looking beautiful Nandini..!! Just one thing is missing..!!" Manik continued and Nandini opened her eyes in surprise that what was missing. Manik looked at her messy bun.

"May I?" he asked and Nandini nodded. Manik gently take the clip off as soon as he did that her silky hair fell on her back, to which Manik smiled and Nandini blushed.

"Now you are looking perfect..!!" Manik give her compliment and she smiled.

"Get down..!! I am waiting for you in the car..!!" Saying that he left the room. Nandini quickly brushed her hair and joined Manik in the car.

Ok i know it's short but i have to write this before starting a big big drama in next chapter such as Manan's dance,Manik everywhere covering and trying to protect Nandini and at last Alya's miss behave with Nandini will try to torn her Saree in which she will succeed will Manik be able to protect her again?
