Chapter 5
Scene 1 -**-- deep inside the jungle-*----*--*
Autowala was leaning towards Nandu. Suddenly Nandini opened her eyes and was hell shocked when she saw him near her face.. Sun had already set.. She initially felt as if there is no other morning...but then with all her power she pushed him with a jerk , he fell down.. She shouted with her full strength " help.. Someone please help.." .. Manik heard her voice and smirked.. Nandini tried to run away but he got her by her arms ,she again shouted " aahhh.. Jane do muje...nooo" .. Manik heard this and his smile was gone by then..He thought for a second.. As soon as he realized the situation , he started running in the direction of her voice. By then Nandini pushed the driver so hard that he fell on the ground.. And by her aaiapppa's grace his head collapsed on a big stone lying there..Blood rushed through his entire face and then shoulders.. Nandini was now more afraid.. she moved back and she turned and she saw Manik.. She was so relaxed seeing him .. She took a deep breath.. It had been always a painful thing for her eyes to see him.. she had always changed her path.. But today she so desperately wanted him to hold her.. She ran towards him, so did he .. Nandini pulled him into a hug.. Into a tight hug.. He was shocked a bit.. But he responded with the same.. He hugged her back.. She cried for a while ,he was caressing her back..her head.. He forgot about the revenge thing.. He was so lost, so was she... She wasn't feeling afraid by then..Her heart was at an ease.. Manik was the one to broke the hug.,. He looked into her eyes.. They were saying it all.. How thankful was she, how secured she was feeling in his arms... Suddenly Manik's eye fell on the driver who was trying to gain consciousness.. .. Manik realized the situation, looked at her worriedly and asked her " you.. you okay naa". He hold her by her arms.. And looked for some marks or scratches on her arms, hands, shoulders.. He then removed her hair from her shoulders and looked at her neck.. there was not even a single mark.. He took a sigh of relief.. Nandini was looking at him strangely.. She thought " if he is the same Manik.. Ye itna kadva ... aj itna sweet and caring kaise" .
Meanwhile Manik's eye fell on the driver.. He was all drenched with blood.. Manik was shocked to see him like that.. He thought" How could he be in such a situation and Nandini is all okay.. Ye doll jaisi ladki aur ye ..."
He left her arms and went near him and held him by his collar and said " how dare you touch her.. Kaise ..kaise.. Haath kaise lgaya ..himmat bhi kaise ki.."
By the time the driver regained his consciousness and was trying to recognise him.. And he recollected everything and said " are mujse kya poochta h..tune hi kaha tha ye sb krne ko.. "
Nandini's expressions changed.. She thought " Manik... Nooo.. No way.. Heee is not.. He just cant be behind all this... " She felt so weak at that time..
Manik who had forgotten that the driver was send by him only, looked at Nandini ..
Driver " tumhi ne kaha tha na k ladki ko Kisi tarah se jungle me le Jana h aur uske sath Jo marzi... "
Before he could further say a word Manik punched his face and shouted back " shut up.. Maine ye nhi kaha tha .. I just told you to bring her here and..".
As soon as he realised what he said, the driver pushed him and ran towards his auto, started the auto and ran away from the scene..
Nandini who was not able to digest what she heard , was taken aback.. She thought " so it was his plan .. I thought he had came to help me. i thought he is worried for me.. And ...and... He is so shameless.. How could he ask that man to..." She felt weak.. She was about to fall , but Manik held her by her shoulders.. She didn't want him to touch her., she freed herself from his hold and then...
Dhishummm .. One punch at the right cheek of Manik.He was shocked.. And then there comes another punch at his left cheek .. Blood rushed out near his lips..Nandini wasn't able to get a grip of herself.. She was hell angry ,she pushed him back and shouted " Manik how could you fall so low... I just hated your cheap tactics but from now onwards i hate you. . I just hate you Manik Malhotra.. "
Manik was all puzzled.. He didn't know how to explain it to her. Afterall it was all his mistake.. He thought " If she had not shown enough courage to fight with that bloody creepo... then... Shit.. Shit... Manik.. Ye kya Kr dia tune.. "
He tried to talk but before he could utter a single word , she ran away in the direction opposite to the jungle.. She was running too fast and when Manik came out of his half conscious state he found her nowhere.. He also ran looking for her in the same direction calling her name " Nandini" " wait.. please listen to me.. Nandini"
Nandini saw the highway, she ran towards the road as fast as she could.. She suddenly stopped seeing no one around.. "How will i reach home? I can't trust anyone at this unearthy hour of time.. Please aaiappa help" ..then she noticed a car parked at the other end of the road.. She rushed towards it, tried opening the back seat and strange it was not locked..
Manik who had seen her a while ago near the road thought" where did she suddenly escape", he was frustrated and his eyes were looking for her everywhere.. He was tired.. He thought " Abhi Thi Abhi gayab , wo zaroor apne ghar ki taraf gai hogi.. Kisi se lift to nhi li.. Ahh.. Damn it.. Call kru.. No no.. Wo nhi pick kregi..manik don't waste time.. Kahi wo fir se Kisi problem me...no... " he rushed towards his car and opened the door..
Manik- " Han cabir jaldi bol"
Nandini was shocked to listen his voice.. She could not believe that she had trapped herself on her own.. She remained silent and put her hand on her mouth so as not to make any sound..
Cabir -" hahah.. Manik jaldi.. Jaldi Kyu..tu Abhi tak revenge le rha h.."
Manik was hell irritated at the word " revenge"
Manik almost shouted " cabir please stop it yaar.. It has turned out so... So ..." He banged his hand on the steering ..
Cabir got serious listening that and asked " what happened? Tu hai kaha aur.."
Before he could complete his words Manik said " listen cabir.. Tujhe ek kaam krna h.. Abhi k Abhi Navya k hostel ja aur ask her k Nandini waha h kya"
Cabir - " wait a minute .. Nandini .. Wo .. Wo to ..tu gya Tha naa plan execute krne .. Aur Tuje Kyu janana h k wo... "

Manik started his car . he wanted to reach to her as soon as possible so he increased the speed of the car and Nandini's head banged with his seat.. Though there was a long thought process he was going through so he didn't pay attention..
Manik -" shit kaha gai ye.. Muje use wahi pe bta dena chahie tha k though I only asked that bloody creep to... ..to bring her to the jungle.. But i didnt asked him to ... He took a pause and said " Maine kaha tha K wo use waha chod k chala jae ".. He was frustrated,tensed, angry, confused.. All at a time.. He said" kaha ho Nandini tum"
Nandini was again a bit confused.. She was not understanding why the hell he asked the man to leave her in the jungle..
Nandini by then had understood that Manik just wanted her to be alone in the middle of jungle crying for help, not much than that.. But she thought " Jo b h..ye sb Hua to usi Ki wajah se.. He is so heartless.. Socha bhi nhi mere bare me.."
Manik -" ahhh... She punched me so hard.. God.. Its bleeding.. Shit.. Aur Wo driver bhi to ... Uski halat bhi itni kharab Thi.. I wonder us se kaise fight kiya usne.. Indeed she is brave ".. " Aur uska haath to ...ahhh " He said this while touching his wound near his lips..
Nandini - " Abhi kaha Manik .. Abhi to bas punch Kia h.. Just wait and watch.. U'll not forget this night for the rest of your life.. That's Nandini promise."

Chachi without saying hello - " Nandu kaha h Tu beta kitna time ho gya h"
Nandini -" chachi main bas ghar aa rhi hu..but suno na.. Agar koi waha aae aur mere bare me pooche to tell him that ill be staying at navya's hostel.."

Nandu-" chachi ..chachi bas aap use ye bolna.. Baki main ghar aake btati Hun"
Chachi -" theek h" and Nandini hung up.
She peeped to saw Manik who was still thinking how to ask about her.
Manik finally went near the door and before he could knock at the door , the door opened..
Chachi who was staring at him asked him " bolo beta kis se kaam h"
Manik -" aaa bbb... Wo.. Wo ji.. Aaa.. Main Nandini ka friend Hun.. Us se notes chahie the to..."
Chachi-" are Nandu to naa , Wo apni friend Navya k pas rahegi aj "
Manik to himself -" shit matlab Wo yaha nhi h"
Before chachi could further enquire about him , he rushed to his car leaving a confused chachi..
Chachi -" areee..."
Manik left the place , and Nandini entered the house..
Nandini somehow convinced chachi that he was her classmate and she was too tired to help Manik at this time that's why she asked her to tell a lie..
Scene 4 -*----* highway--**
Manik -" where the hell is she..cabir ko poochta hu.. Waha nhi hui to.. Oh shit kahi Wo Abhi bhi jungle me.. Ya Kisi ne use... "
And then he got a call from cabir, he stopped the car with a jerk and asked him " woh hai na waha"
Cabir -" Manik Maine Navya se poocha ..wo nhi h waha.. Ab btaega kya Hua h"
Manik - " damn " and he cut the call.
Cabir -" chal kya rha h.. Tu use pareshan krne gya tha..teri kya halat ho rhi h.. Why are you so restless ...bta na ..manik.. Manik.." he then realises that Manik had already cut the call.
Manik - " last option .. Jungle.."
He drove back to the jungle, searched there for her.. Though he himself was afraid of dark but he kept on shouting her name.. He drove to the near places.. Asked people out there.. But she wasn't there.. She was no where..
Cabir was shocked to see him.. Manik's face had two marks near the corners of his lips.. Some dried drops of blood.. His hair was all messed up.. He was looking so exhausted.
Cabir asked" Manik ..ye kya Hua tujhe.. You fought with someone? Lemme guess .. Harshad..."
Manik who just lied down on his couch said " no cabiiirrr... Phewww.. God it was such a long night"
Cabir -" Harshad nhi.. To koi goons?? Bol b ab"

And then Manik narrated him the story..from the college gate to reaching her home..( except i-hugged-her and was- so-lost in her deep eyes)
At first cabir wasn't able to believe what he heard..but then bursted into a laughter.. And he was laughing like an idiot..
Cabir - " hahaha.. Manana pdega Wo phoolan se kam nhi h.. Usne Teri kya halat..hahaha.. Just look at yourself..hahaha. Aur Tu to uski night horrible bnane gya Tha na.. Par lgta hai..."
Manik was giving him a deadly look.
Cabir tried hard to control but he couldn't.. And said " kya keh rha Tha Tu main sbse aage rehta Hun..my plans and all.. hahaha" he took a pause and said " Tu kaise ..i,mean never ever in your life you got punched by a guy, except Harshad. aur yaha ek ladki se teen punch.. Seriously Manik.. Three... Hahha"
Manik was silently listening to him..he was too tired to speak. his throat was choked due to shouting her name for zillions of time..
He somehow managed to speak " cabir lemme sleep.. M,too drained out.." And he closed his eyes resting his head over the couch..
Cabir -" okay chal m going., see you tomorrow..by then just change the design of you face..." and he smirked..
Manik still with his eyes closed " hmmm.."
As,soon as cabir left ,Manik was fast asleep..
