I think, not only think but see very young mums ... Like 16/17yrs old managing their kids very very effectively without their partners..
A life comes into existence as soon as it's conceived in the mothers womb - we r no one to end it or decide that it is improper for it to live
The fate of the child n mother - there r millions of single mums living without partner n have no problem managing their kids...
If an 18 yr old can manage kids after marriage she can also do it without marriage
Navya is a kid - I don't think so, if she was she would have been selfish n aborted the child, but she dint ... Never forget.. A child gives birth to a mother
India is a male chauvinist society ... Ppl think that without a partner women can't survive, can't handle kids, can't pursue career
This is all nonsense - if a lady is pregnant her decision to kill the child within her should be independent of social norms - n no mother can be selfish that to pursue her career she'd abort the child - if that's the thinking .. Then she isn't ready to b a mum

I definitely agree with you on the whole maturity and navya being too young to even handle herself, forget the baby !😕
It's going to be an unsuitable environment for both Navya and the baby. How will she provide for her baby? How will she balance her studies? Can she take the gossips and pointless drama on her being a single mother as this topic will rise? No most certainly not. Cabir is not always going to be there , he is but that doesn't take away the fact that he has his own life as well. Navya is unsuitable for taking care of a baby. However, abortion is only appropriate and in my opinion atleast humane when the baby hasn't developed as much yet in the womb, then it wouldn't feel so guilty in doing this deed. But Navya being so indecisive, it's been months and months and it would be completely inhumane to even think about doing it. Why punish a baby for your carelessness? It's best to give it up for adoption. I think no matter how painful or disheartening it is giving up your own baby it is a much better option then killing a full grown human where it would could be fully provided and nourished by others. But your points are very valid and right 👏 This is a really important topic for KYY and I hope they complete it in the best way.

I'm against abortion.. First before navya her mother should act responsibly.. She is after Navya's marriage but she is not at all concerned about her health.. If she is also with navya's decision of keeping the baby then she should first make her understand about the pros n cons of her pregnancy.. Till now we only saw that her friends are trying to make her understand the pros n cons of pregnancy but not her mother.. I feel if a daughter makes a mistake its the duty of her parents to make her understand..
Coming to the baby I feel its unfair to end a life.. She can always go for adoption.. There are many couples who would want the baby. This is what I think.

Though controversial, mother is still a child.
Not only from logical and practical pov, but from health pov- both physically and emotionally , both mother and child will suffer if she decides to have the baby.
Just bcos she is a woman , why should she alone be left to face the consequences of the unwanted relationship or the "act" both had done.
Just additional point -Even she had consensual sex, it is considered as "sexual assault" legally -as she is still under 18. It is an abuse.

Supneet please share with us how the 16/17 year olds u see are managing their kid effectively (without a partner)...I hope you are not talking about the people who lives in the slums...

I want to know it too and then I hope Navya will follow that too!

There are millions of single moms I know in the world, But being a single mom in a first world country and being a single mom in countries like India, Bangladesh and Pakistan is different...

I dont believe that a woman can't survive with a partner...this is ridiculous...I dont agree! A woman doesn't need a man to survive..but its not the issue here...

Yes it is true that 16/17yrs old do manage kids... I live in uk n it is very very common here ... My colleague at work she works part time,is in college n has a lovely 1 yr old daughter.. She is herself nearing her 18th birthday
It's a very common sight here... N also in America... In entire europe
It's only INDIA where ppl have a sick n thick mentality that women can't survive without partner.. Indian women r no less than any other
