It's heartbreaking to see Indian youths having such sick mentality n wanting to abort a child for such non sense reasons ... Navya is educated.. She is not weak
Above all it's illegal

It's going to be an unsuitable environment for both Navya and the baby. How will she provide for her baby? How will she balance her studies? Can she take the gossips and pointless drama on her being a single mother as this topic will rise? No most certainly not. Cabir is not always going to be there , he is but that doesn't take away the fact that he has his own life as well. Navya is unsuitable for taking care of a baby. However, abortion is only appropriate and in my opinion atleast humane when the baby hasn't developed as much yet in the womb, then it wouldn't feel so guilty in doing this deed. But Navya being so indecisive, it's been months and months and it would be completely inhumane to even think about doing it. Why punish a baby for your carelessness? It's best to give it up for adoption. I think no matter how painful or disheartening it is giving up your own baby it is a much better option then killing a full grown human where it would could be fully provided and nourished by others. But your points are very valid and right 👏 This is a really important topic for KYY and I hope they complete it in the best way.

Lorina! Exactly!! I ditto with your every single word! That's exactly what I was thinking...if a mother goes for the abortion it should be done early not like after 3-4 months when the baby is almost fully developed that would be inhumane...

The cvs need to take care of this issue as soon as possible...They are portraying Navya in such a manner as if being pregnant is a piece of cake or walk in the garden..

If she is also with navya's decision of keeping the baby then she should first make her understand about the pros n cons of her pregnancy.. Till now we only saw that her friends are trying to make her understand the pros n cons of pregnancy but not her mother.. I feel if a daughter makes a mistake its the duty of her parents to make her understand..

Coming to the baby I feel its unfair to end a life.. She can always go for adoption.. There are many couples who would want the baby. This is what I think.

hmm I agree with you too! navya's mum is behaving like Marriage is the solution to everything!

It's a very common sight here... N also in America... In entire europe
It's only INDIA where ppl have a sick n thick mentality that women can't survive without partner.. Indian women r no less than any other

Supneet thats the point! the mothers you are seeing are not in India...In Uk they are surviving effectively because the government help them, they recieve aids, they have health insurance, they receive aid even when the child is born for the child itself , the child's education is also free in those countries...which is not the case in India...

And the issue here is not about hving a partner...

The issue here is the future of the child, what quality of life can Navya give her child hving no education herself...and if she pursues education and all that what will happen to the child while she is doing all this!! NO ONE IS ASKING HER TO ABORT BECAUSE SHE IS NOT MARRIED!

@Very Generic opinion. First in Europe especially UK and US, the pregnancy, and life is funded by the state govt. Teen Moms are on "benefits" that means they don't have to worry about money, living expenses , treatment etc. The abortion rates for teen pregnancy is higher in Europe and US compared to India .

So the reason why kids are able to "manage" ( very debatable) in UK or elsewhere is because their whole life is supported by benefits paid by govt and funded by Public taxes. A fact that you very conveniently didn't mention.

@TM- I do feel an abortion for Navya is a best solution. She has no connect with the baby. She seems to numb it . Doesn't have a back-plan to support herself. It is a Pro-Choice thing and right now I don't feel she is ready in anyway to support the kid or herself.

I'm pretty a silent reader in this forum.

I'm actually confused . As for now Navya should focus for a better career . But I'm quite confused about how will she manage it with her pregnancy ?. Even if she gives birth to the child , how will she afford to give a good future to the child ? . She is doing her first year in college , she is practically having three to four years to complete with her college , by that time her child will be three years old .she will have to take care of her child as well as complete with her education . It will be quite complicated . It is not only about her career but also about the child's future . There can be several problems for Navya in future .
Pregnancy brings an emotional state to the person who is carrying the child .Aborting the child can affect Navya psychologically or may be her she wont allow to abort the child also .
My very close cousin sister went through miscarriage due to her health complications , her condition was even more worse after that incident . (sorry for ranting)

Exactly and Thanks Genie for supporting. The cvs need to solve Navya's issue as soon as possible...pretending nothing is wrong and not talking about it won't help Navya in this case because in 7 months she is about to give birth...How can a pregnant girl roam around the college being so carefree and happy as if she doesn't hv a care in the world is beyond ridiculous...

OMG its going to be sooo painful!!

I don't know much about the adoption system in India...She can definitely do this.

Yeah I agree that adoption is the best choice!! Of course it'll be hard to give it up but won't it be harder to kill a child? Abortion for a mother is like killing a part of her own soul..besides it will send a wrong sign to the youth that the only way of dealing wid teen pregnancy is abortion...I mean that's kinda inhuman right? Plus this way she can get the satisfaction that her child is in safe hands
I know two couples in India (my relatives) who have adopted and they are all perfectly content

I think Navya may have to abort the baby because of medical complications. During Soha track, she also inhaled the white powder which hospitalised Nandu. She did not see any doctor but assumed the symptoms were related to her pregnancy. I think the foetus could have been poisoned and hence may not develop properly necessitating an abortion later. Maybe she may be advised it when she has her sonography done at 16 weeks pregnancy.
